Dr Chin is a very knowledgeable caring professional and makes you feel that you are his most important patient at the time. He gets 5 stars! Wish the front office staff would follow his lead, as the office manager could use some lessons in customer courtesy. Last two interactions have been less than pleasant-not very friendly. Probably good at running the office, but....one star. Will come back and rerate next time i go in to see if it happens a third time. If she is friendlier will upgrade--if not it will stay the same. The front desk staff is Hella rude, I called in more than an hour ahead of time to reschedule an appointment as I was sick and have Covid . The lady told to bring in the Dr note next time or they will charge me $85 at next visit. I said you ok if I am sick and she said yes just come in. I said it's better if I will find another place since you guys don't care about other patients if they will get sick . she was like have a good one and disconnected. Can you believe it. I have never been treated so badly . The office manager has refused to answer the phone when I am in pain and need to make a dental appointment I've been left to suffer living on antibiotics and pain medication hoping for some relief . I made my appointments on time and paid my bills in full. I was so nervous that I broke out in cold sores lesions in my mouth that took 7 days to heal. Now I have a root canal that has failed and I am suffering . I am normally referred to an endontodist but this time I wasn't . I want my money back and a referral to the specialist. I deserve to have good oral health and I don't . This Jessica has been so unreasonable that she expected me to have my planner out for January while it was December. I had answered the phone after a root canal and told her I couldn't talk and she insisted I decide if I was coming to my appointment. I was in a car and said I didn't know . So I was charged an &85 dollar late fee and accused of being rude and hanging up on her . Since then it just got worse and my Mom just passed away two weeks ago . After 4000 dollars in dental work she didn't care about my loss . In fact she wouldn't speak to me and the dentist had to check me out from my appointment. Also my Mother took out the care credit card to help me I was told that he was unable to get my entire root canals done and now I as a paying patient would like my money refunded in full for this tooth Along with a referral to the specialist so I can be out of physical pain . We trust our dentists and doctors for our care to be healthy If they fail is we are left to suffer for days or weeks in agony I did call the front office but they will not answer the phone . read more

I had some work needing to be done, a few things had popped up during the pandemic. I needed an implant reseated and some basic work. They were the closest dentist that had good ratings who took my insurance. This office didn't handle implants but were willing to examine me since they were close, and I could go to another Sunrise office to get the work done if necessary. That is where the problems started. Appointments were cancelled randomly forcing me to contact them directly to determine why and reschedule, emails with more information I told them were coming were never attached to my account, they never sent me the treatment plan after several requests, and had no follow up meaning if they didn't understand something they just ignored it, etc.... The real kicker was when there was a miscommunication on emails, I had responded to the wrong one. They were going to contact another office, but did not follow up as they thought I was going to. I readily admitted it was my mistake and tried to move forward. Unfortunately they fought with me over the details getting quite angry. They kept going back to what the email said like it was a verbal contract. I had to ask several times plain and simply what needed to be done to resolve this. The entire conversation was strange. I found a new dentist the next week. The dentist was nice, but the office was a massive speed bump. read more

This office has extremely snooty front desk personnel who are poorly trained and disrespect new patients. They don't reach out to you when you request appointment online. They don't inform you of office policy ahead of time. They don't even ask what the purpose of the office is when the appointment is made. They tell you that you are supposed to know all their office practice as a new patient. It's completely ludicrous. Don't worry. They'll call you back and tell you that you are disrespectful. I have been going to Sunrise Dental in Everett for many years. Dr. Chin is always very friendly, accommodating, and kind. He will take extra time to make you feel important and special. He truly is a one of a kind dentist. If you are nervous about going to the dentist, this is the place for you! Everyone is very nice and friendly and will make you feel at ease. I called and scheduled an appointment 2 weeks in advance. I gave them all my insurance information which they said they accepted. I was getting ready to drive two hours to see them from Bellingham, WA and thankfully I called to confirm my own appointment. The woman at the front desk told me they couldn't confirm my insurance and then actually lied and said she had called me twice. I ran a cosmetic dental office for 14 years. They have a serious customer service issues which makes me grateful I did not go to this office. When an office is too lazy to follow up with their New Patients or patients, confirm appointment or cancel appointments when necessary, its a huge red-flag. I recently changed my dental care to a facility closer to my home. In doing my research I looked at reviews for Sunrise Dental. All reviews were rated good and so I decided to make my appointment with them. This was in November of 2021. I was very happy after that first appointment to have found this dentist office. Meeting Dr. Chin and his staff was amazing. They were very welcoming and caring. My dental check up by Dr. Chin was comfortable and informative. He was kind and receptive to being a new patient. Dr Chin was my dentist when all of a sudden I was told that he left and I could not get any forwarding contact info. I do not know what happened except for to be told he was moving on. So what happened to a dentist with 6 trophies and why all the hush up as to where he is practicing now? I guess I have to contact the Dental Quality Assurance Board to see if he moved out of state or is practicing somewhere else. read more

I was called back on time for my apt, when I met with Dr. Chin he explained things very well they used an intraoral camera that I thought was nice because I got to see what the cavities looked like that were in my mouth by showing me pics. Notice that there are no new reviews of this Dental office? STAY AWAY! Back when Dr. Chin was here I would have given this office 5 stars. Now? Not even 1! I had an issue with a tooth when Dr. Chin was there. They told me it was warrantied. I was out of town a month and when I returned, Dr. Chin was no longer in this office. A new dr. is there. I went in, they asked me to see an endo specialist to see if it was something more serious that they needed to take care of. This was back before Thanksgivng. I have heard not 1 word since. I called 5 times, left numerous messages, I went to their office and demanded to know why they hadn't called me. They said their offices had flooded. So what - no one checks messages for 2 weeks?!! Then they were to get back to me. Again. Crickets for 3 weeks. Nothing to 3 more messages. I get the message loud and clear. This office no longer guarantees their work (and yes, they told me they would still guarantee the work they had done before....). In other words, I'm outta luck. Dr. Chin is amazing!!!! Takes such great care of each patient and pays attention to each detail. I appreciate that he makes sure I'm doing okay during procedures that are borderline painful. The dental assistants are fantastic too. I gave 4 stars because there is one front desk lady that is very uninviting. She has such a cold, standoff-ish demeanor!! Every appt I come too she never smiles and appears to dislike her job. She makes you feel unwelcome! If you are going to work in the service industry, you need to be friendly and SMILE!
