After a long pickleball tournament at Eagle Glen Golf Club, I was definitely in the mood for an iced coffee and ended up stopping by Sunrise Grind Coffee House. It's a small, cozy spot with a very homey feel. Nothing fancy, just comfortable and welcoming. I asked the barista for a recommendation and she suggested the Funky Monkey, a mix of peanut butter, chocolate, banana, and espresso. It was good. Not the best iced coffee I've ever had, but solid and satisfying after being out in the sun all day. Honestly, the beautiful weather made it taste even better. Would I go back? Probably but mainly if I'm in the area again for a tournament at Eagle Glen. It's a convenient, chill stop when you need a post game caffeine boost. read more

Best iced matcha in Corona. Staff is always sweet. Their featured coffees of the season can be pretty sweet if ordered as is. I suggest ordering half sweet or a quarter less sweet. I have a sweet tooth myself and that seems to be the perfect amount for my iced coffee there. It does get busy at times so be understanding to the staff and possible wait times. It's not frozen food like Starbucks where your food is ready in 30 seconds. They also have nice outdoor seating with umbrellas. The warmth of sun hits perfectly outside. read more

Have had coffee here a couple of times during the work week. Stopped by today on the way to San Diego. Ordered food and coffee. System went down to pay was told they would reset and call us up to pay. Waited 15 minutes and then they came up to us to tell us they can't take card and if we could go get cash. 15 minutes we waited and then they said something? Very disappointing. I came to this coffee shop on a weekday because the silent reading club I'm a part of decided to meet there. It was a bit of a drive to get to it in an almost obscure shopping area, but I was able to find it. Upon entering, I noticed it was a nice clean space that has bright lighting enough for me to be able to see what I was reading in my book. The chairs were comfortable. There were outlets for me to charge my phone. The employee working up front was very nice and approachable. I asked her if there was anything non-caffeinated and she kindly suggested the smoothies. I opted to get one of the other drinks without coffee. The drink was decent. It wasn't the best thing in the world, but it was good enough. I really just wanted to buy something to stay in the shop. Once the book club session began, I was able to settle in with my book. Sunrise Grind turned out to be a cozy nice establishment that does the trick. read more

The staff is all extremely nice however charging $1.25 for adding on cream cheese for then this to be the most cream cheese on your bagel is absolutely criminal. Also, the bagels are not even toasted. They are pushed through the heat for like half a second and are still cold. The drinks are on the sweet side (which I love). This is our second visit. My husband went in alone as I sat in the car wit baby. Took 40 minutes to get our two drinks. First thing I notice when I take a sip is my drink is peppermint. My husband said no to the Christmas version of my drink. He asked if I wanted to go in. I said no. We had already waitrd 40 minutes and had a baby with us who needed a diaper chance, along with needing to hit the grocery store near by. We leave and go to a nearby grocery store. We get baby out of the car, get shopping cart and my husband picks up a drink and the lid wasnt on all the way. I immediately said we needed to go back and tell them about the peppermint and the lid! But baby needed her butt cleaned. So I went into grocery store, changed her diaper. Went back to car, loaded her up and went back while husband shopped. I got there and asked the nice young lady at the counter if I could have a remake of the one with the lid not on right. But totally get if its no. She said let me ask my boss. Boss came out and immediately asked for name on order I said it and started explaining what happened and went to say but I get if not. She immediately went 'Its been an hour!" I told her it took 40 minutes to get 2 drinks with no one in front of us! I had to reload baby up etc. She started saying we needed to come in right away etc. But we did as fast as we could. Wouldn't even let me get a word in about just paying for another drink. Lecturing me on how the lids fit tightly... its why I came back. Its why I pointed out the peppermint. Mistakes happened. I didnt care, was even going to buy replacement. Instead the boss went around telling other customers how I came back an hour later.. Next time just politely say no, its been too long. Second time coming here today in the last week. I wanted to try something different than Starbucks. I was hoping for a cool coffee shop vibe. The woman who helped me was really nice and cheerful both times. The second time however they charged me for a cup fee. My drink was 2 espresso shots with oat milk and Splenda. Total was $3.70 . There was no Splenda in the drink and when they handed it to me there was no oat milk. When I brought it to their attention they fixed it right away. The first drink I got was basically the same thing except I tried sugar free banana instead of Splenda which made the total $4.90 . Starbucks charges $3.45 . Overall I like supporting small businesses I would still go back but it's not as convenient as the drive thru, I'm not saving and the coffee I have tried doesn't blow my socks off. I have always been a loyal customer for a long time. All the employees know me. After today not anymore. Previously when I ordered a certain breakfast item I was always charged a certain price. The last time I was there a few weeks ago I was charged more for this certain breakfast item. At that time the manager was the one taking my order. I questioned him n he told me that it has always been that price. I didn't question him after that n just left it at that. Today I went in and ordered my usual drink n this certain breakfast item. The girl taking my order was super nice as always and rang me up. Didn't think much of it. The manager walked over to her with the receipt of my order and started scolding her in front of me and customers for charging me literally a $1 or so less. I could hear his conversation with this young lady. He was telling this young lady "that's why she questioned me the last time she was here, this is what we are suppose to charge her, etc etc" I felt so uncomfortable and it was so awkward waiting for my order. If it was that big of a deal, I would have just given him the difference so this poor young lady would not be scolded in front of customers. I can't imagine how humiliated she must have felt. As a patron and supporter of local coffee small businesses for years. I have been a patron of Sunrise Grind for the last 5 years, as I refuse to go to Starbucks. The young lady helped me was really nice and cheerful, and lovely.. After running a few errands I simply wanted to top off my house coffee and top is an inch as most to warm my cup back up. Whereupon, an older woman from behind the counter called me out in front of all in store customers to witness, that I needed to pay for the refill?!? #1. Since I have NOT refilled my coffee on most if any occasion, EXCEPT today, paid $3.50 vs Crave Coffee $2.88 (ONLY a TOP OFF of 1" MAX..) I was INSULTED and HUMILIATED in front for customers. I did go back in the ask to speak to owner, and the older woman stated she was the owner. She justified my humiliation in form of customers as being a small business owner?!? I reminded the OWNER, that I had purchased a RANCID MATCHA LATTE which was curdled and not fit for public CONSUMPTION. I chose to simply dump the Matcha Latte and not request any refund due to my commitment to support local small business owners. I did offer to pay for the refill of about $2 for a refill that was on some chalkboard in the left corner of the coffee house that I did not read. INSTEAD of garnering and treating locals as valuable customers, she justified calling me out in front of patrons in defense of protecting her business bottom line as opposed to making customers fell valued and welcomed. When the owner could have not been short sighted, and instead long sighted in building her customer base.I have since informed my neighbors and friends and family member of this experience who are NOW a "former customers" of Sunrise Grind after discussing my HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Overall, I love supporting small businesses.There is NO convenient drive through.WE also ARE NOT saving $$$ on coffee, and the coffee is NOT the best I have had, as a world coffee aficionado who knows what Good Coffee is!. TRULY disappointed in today's visit, as the OWNER and her inappropriate behavior has left me no choice but to NEVER return to this business. The OWNER simply could have called me over privately rather than choose to HUMILIATE a CUSTOMER for her BOTTON LINE in front of patrons for the ALMIGHTY $$$$$$$. Cute coffee shop been here a few times when I work in the morning in the area. Staff is always pleasant. Went in today with my daughter and notice a young female behind the counter with her LITERAL butt cheeks hanging out of her shorts and behind us the couple with the KIDS seen it too.. come on man your at work I did not want coffee and a peep show !!! Dress appropriately! Not to mention there was 3 women working today there was an elder lady who completely forgot about somebody's burrito and as I'm watching the conversation happen she goes to the microwave to put the burrito in and realizes she had already cooked it then gives the girl the old burrito that had been sitting in there... whaaatt??? Whenever I stop by there are people studying and hanging/chatting with their friends/family. Making it a very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay for a while. I also ordered a slice of Lemon Poppy Loaf, and this is the only reason for four stars - it had zero Lemon flavor and was super bland but obviously not the coffee shop's fault but wanted to leave feedback on it. The drinks and food are amazing, but what I had experience as my first time customer there, was the service was terrible. The barista was chewing her gum making the drinks, the cashier was rude and was rushing us, the other barista who was handling the foods was having a nervous breakdown due to how busy it was getting and we waited for 30 minutes for our foods and drinks. Finally stopped in here and had to come write a review because the girls working were so nice and helpful..and patient! I ordered food that wasn't exactly what was on the menu and they were so accommodating with my dietary restrictions and helped me order exactly what I wanted, even though it seemed like a lot of extra work after the fact! Next time I'll order something on the menu for their sake! Lol The place was quiet and seems like a great place to work or study independently. I was pleasantly surprised by the vegetarian friendly / plant-based options available. I ordered the Mediterranean pita pocket and it did not disappoint! Perfect breakfast meal. I paired that with an iced coffee and it was a healthy and energizing brekkie lol The Mediterranean ciabatta and Mediterranean salad are other vegetarian friendly options. This is a very small coffee shop, but the food and coffee pack a big punch!!! I'd suggest ordering and grabbing it to go since there isn't a lot of space to eat there. Went in to get a coffee and check it out since I had some time in the morning Sunday. Ordered the seasonal drink Honey Toffee Latte, hot. Not many people in the place which was nice since it's a place for ambiance, with big comfy chairs and a mini "Take a book, Leave a book" shelf. There was one person ahead of me, they ordered, and as I came up the phone rang and the cashier took the order on the phone instead and I was told to please wait. .......... Once it was my turn I ordered and took a seat......and waited....and watched as the three other people in the cafe got their order. I thought they were already served and enjoy the place. I also noticed the BULK STORE/WAREHOUSE BOUGHT variety of syrups behind the counter. Annnnnd waited....I know I had some time but now it's getting to a point. The last non-chain coffee shop near where I live has sadly closed down and all I can say is, rest in peace to all that have fallen :(. I've been on the hunt for smaller mom and pop coffee shops since the decay of small coffee shops began. In the past, whenever I drove by the Corona area, I would stop by It's a Grind to pick up a nice cup of joe. The one near where I live closed down a few years ago so I was glad to find another relatively close by. Unfortunately, It's a Grind is no more HOWEVER, it has disappeared in name only. Sunrise Grind takes its place with slightly new aesthetics, keeping nearly all of the same drinks and pastries from It's a Grind, all without losing it's sense of warmth and home-y feeling! The drinks are delicious as always and the staff are super nice too! My go-to's are their White Mocha and the Passion Fruit Tea!! I'm a bit sad to see how few people actually visit this place, hopefully it survives long after this review. If you're in the area and want a nice cup of coffee, please pay this establishment a visit! They certainly deserve more foot traffic, especially when their coffee and service is this good. It's up to us to support small businesses especially in such difficult times. I will continue to make the drive to this location to get me some tasty, high quality bean water, and you should too. I have been going here forever, and this is my favorite coffee shop by far. The owners and staff are amazing and friendly - I order my drink ahead of time so i dont have to wait too long, and they always have it ready, and are always so nice and kind to me! The coffee is so delicious, and theyre homemade food and baked goods are to die for. When I walk in, I feel like it's my second home - it's warm, cozy, and inviting. I recently visited this coffee shop with family, and unfortunately, it left me with a lot of doubts about the professionalism of the owners. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a situation that seemed a bit off. My group and I had ordered a few drinks (I believe 8 total), which isn't an overwhelming amount, but it quickly became clear that there was only one staff member working. As we waited, the lone barista was on the phone while making our drinks and it wasn't long before she called the owners to let them know she was overwhelmed--something we weren't aware of at the time but was announced by the owner (female) who approached our group upon entrance. The situation took an even stranger turn when the owners walked in and, rather than offering support or acknowledgment of the busy rush, approached a customer (but also someone she knew who works there - was not her shift that night who actually offered help to the lone barista) and asked, "Did you bring all these people in, are you with them?" It was an odd and unprofessional comment, and it seemed like they were blaming the customers for the situation rather than taking responsibility for not having enough staff. It left a bad taste in my mouth--not only were they unhelpful, but their approach felt disrespectful and out of touch with how to manage a business. While the coffee itself was fine, the overall experience was marred by poor management and a lack of consideration for the staff's well-being. Running a business is about teamwork and ensuring your customers feel valued, and unfortunately, this coffee shop fell short in both respects. As a note, we also went because my sister had a gift card to this place, our order was over $80 which means business for this coffee shop. I do not think we will return and wish this business the best.
