We had a fabulous experience using Sunrise Moving to move from a highrise condo in Midtown to a single family home in East Atlanta. Eddie, Rob and Kevin were professional, very careful with our items, and made sure to ask where we wanted things so they went in the right rooms. The overall process was quick and easy, until the payment was requested. 2 important things to take note of when working with Sunshine: 1) You need to pay attention to how many men they quote you for price wise and how many show up. THEY WILL SLIP AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE ADDITIONAL MAN AND THEN STATE YOU AGREED TO IT. Please be mindful of this because your paperwork will state what you actually were quoted and the lead guy will write OVER this. Let him know in advance you are not cool with the additional guy bc YOU WILL BE CHARGED. 2) Note that an additional hourly rate is charged for the transportation. Please factor this into your hour total. So during the week the minimum is 2 hours (so automatically 3hr minimum), weekend is 3 (automatically 4h minimum). Chelsea oversaw our move with nothing but professionalism. She answered my questions and responded to my ongoing concerns throughout the move in a timely manner, and followed-up to make sure we were happy with our experience. Eli, Eddie, and Dixon arrived on time, were professional, polite, and respectful of our belongings. Our quoted move time was eight hours, but it was actually completed in six! There were no additional fees tacked on to our invoice, and no damage to our belongings which is a first in our many moves. What a great experience! I had to move to GA for work last minute. From start to finish the team took all the stress off of me for the move. Do not I repeat do not use these scammers! No matter what you have read take this most seriously. They will change prices on you once they have started moving your stuff. The owners Eil and Charlene have this phone tactic they do with the driver and movers to debate prices with the consumer. The wife Charlene is the biggest liar. They call over and over have all these different phones going and start lying about the price you were quoted. If you use them it will be at your own risk. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. In 2004 I hired Sunrise to move a truck load of furniture, ect.to California from GA. They left with a packed van and tied a grill on the back, due to no room, and towing my car. A few days into the trip I called to see how things were going and they said the driver checked himself into the hospital, was sick in Dallas, Texas. I asked where the truck was and they said in hospital parking lot. The owner was flying in to drive the rest of the way. They refused to tell me what the hospitals name was and location. I happened to be in the area near Dallas, visiting my father on my way to CA. When they arrived in CA my daughter's bed was tied to the back instead of the grill, completely ruined from the weather, they didn't even have the decency to cover it up and we couldn't figure out why this was done as it was one of the first things packed. They would have had to taken everything out which doesn't make sense unless they were using the van for illegal activities.The story in Dallas had us wondering. The interior of my car was torn with huge holes on both ends in the back, this is another mystery as they were told not to haul anything in the car and when they left there was nothing in the car. They took everything off the truck put it in the garage asked me for the balance remaining and then took off without putting things in the house. I had to hire another company in the town to do this and it cost 300.00. When we opened the boxes which I paid them extra to pack we found many broken items, the way they packed things was so confusing and not seperating the things that go in each room. Boxes for instance would have the living room things in the bathroom box.The kitchen spices were spilled every where along with oil that spilled and the oil ruined a new desk. Their packing was deplorable. I took them to small claims court and won but they never paid. I waited too long thinking I could do nothing but then took them to court again on a Foreign Judgement, but they were able to get out of it by saying the banks dont keep records of the checks after 7 years. They had no proof of a check. read more

My personal opinion based on my experience, provided a quote, the contract even had the amount on it for not to exceed. Yet at the end of the move charged more due to the length of time and processed the unauthorized amount. Filed a claim for a rare sign that was noticed missing when we went hang all the pictures. They scheduled the move at our convenience. Showed up ON TIME. Were efficient and friendly and their movers maintained their sense of humor throughout the delivery process, even though it was a horribly hot day and the townhouse had many stairs. We worked with Charlene and Jessica to arrange a rather difficult move. Eli, Tony, and John handled the move. Everything was in good shape. They caused no damage to our household goods or to the new house -- not one mark on the walls.
