This was not suggested or shared when installing the solar, perhaps they knew that would be a hard no. I will need to have new pool solar installed and repair my new roof. I am floored that Magic Sun could not manage to provide good pool solar and add enough electric solar to satisfy their profit. 1 star is being generous.

While Solaron is no longer in the PV business (they now focus only on solar pool), Ron still went out of his way to help. He searched through old records in his warehouse and found enough documentation from the original install. While it did not solve the inverter issue, it was exactly what I needed to get Maxeon to honor the warranty on my SunPower panels after SunPower's bankruptcy. Ron had no obligation to help, yet he did. That kind of integrity and customer care is rare these days. When I need future solar pool help, I will consider Solaron.

At our request, they installed the wiring/conduit under the roof and inside of walls for a clean look, at no additional expense. They took care of everything that was needed with PGE, then set up the system operation per our preferences -- so we didn't have to do a thing. (Based on PGE savings, the system will pay for itself in just under 5 years.) A year later, when we had a few questions, Heath responded within minutes. I really appreciate knowing that their support didn't end once the system was paid for and that help is always there if needed. I was told people would get back with me - No one ever did - SMUD came out twice ready to turn off the power to the house for Main panel box to be replace - thank goodness some one home other wise I would have came home with no power - SePac had no idea that SMUD was coming (No communication?) when I called them. Now that no one ever contacted me nor tell me a safe way to bolt down the panels without guarantee no leakage - I cancel. NOW they REFUSE to refund me my deposit of $2K - They evaluated the situation but didn't do their homework before asking for a deposit - This looks like a company error but making a single women pay for their mistake and lack of communication.

The contractors neglected to do required structural load calculations for snow load. At the time, I had been told the design was far above code requirements and "built like a tank". On May 18, 2017, I filed complaints against Michael Sheridan @ Sepac Energy with the Contractors State License Board and with the Board for Professional Engineers. Their civil engineer, Roger L. Blair, was subsequently cited and fined by the Board for Professional engineers (Affirmed Citation No. 10679-L) for negligence and misrepresentation for his work on this project.
