I was frantic when I broke a nail right before my event yesterday and only had less than an hour to get it fixed! I remembered the nail salon by the marina just a short 2-minute walk from us, and my boyfriend quickly found them on Yelp, total lifesaver! Meghan did a great job making me feel comfortable and calm. They had a brand-new cat-eye polish collection, and it was a dream! Not only was I out of there in under an hour, but my nails turned out so gorgeous! Meghan and the rest of the staff worked together to make sure I was out on time, truly above and beyond service! I stopped by Sunset Bay Nail Lounge after dinner. They stay open till 7pm which is awesome. Their customer service was exceptional. My boyfriend and I came in very close to 7pm for a mani and pedi service. They pleasantly agreed to take us without an appointment. The techs didn't rush our services either, we were there till 8pm. Had a last minute trip and was very short on time so I decided to come here. Place is nice, clean and very pleasant. But when I asked for a quote I specifically ask for a gel pedicure, the I asked for a French tip with gel. In was quoted for $35.00. So I go to my appointment. I decide to get pedicure with pink gel. So I go to pay and the man in the front gives me a my total of $50.00. I was like wtf?? I asked him why and he said because it was gel. So I said I was quoted-$35.00. So he didn't retract from his total and u didn't have time to go back and forth with him. I only took $50.00 car since they only take cash (what I was told) so there lady that did my tires did not get a tip. But even her. She was a bit rude too. My husband and I went for pedicures. The service was amazing and the pedicure was so relaxing.

I am very fortunate to have long, strong natural nails. I can garden, exercise and do anything without gloves and keep my nails long. That is until I had a gel manicure here. After 2 days one of the nails chipped. I can live with that. I also had the gel removed here. My nails are RUINED. There are deep gouges on every nail where she grinded the gel off. She also grinded the sides of each nail which have caused 3 to break at the top of the finger. I expect more as the days go on. I asked several times during the process if she was damaging my nails and of course she said no. Save yourself and find a different nail salon. read more

Came in today with a bad nail job from another shop. This shop took me in and fixed both my manicure and pedicure. Not only that but they helped choose a color that suited me and altered the design to fit my nails. Love that they did this for me. My nails now look amazing and I could not be happier. I AM SO HAPPY! For Christmas my bosses had gotten me a gift card here. Not even two weeks ago I had gotten my nails and toes done at my regular place and they were already falling apart. I came here and the ladies took such amazing care of me. They turned the horrible job my last place did in to perfection. How I'm not sure. I thought I would need a whole new set they were so bad. But no! They reshaped them filled them and the gel color was beyond beautiful. Not to mention it was under an hour and I didn't feel rushed at all! First off I want to say the woman who did my nails was very nice but unfortunately there were many factors that led to this review. To start they advertise 15% off when you check in on Yelp for a first time customer so I figured I would give them a try as we moved close by. I showed this to the nail tech and she said they don't offer that promo anymore, if it is no longer offered it should be taken off your Yelp page, but not a huge deal. Now onto the actual service, I requested a full set acrylic with white tips. As the nail tech was placing the acrylic I looked down and she put all clear tips and said "I will paint on the white it will be better", the problem I have with this is that she never asked me to change the tips and also I do not want them painted because paint can chip and be uneven, white tips cannot. I had specifically asked for white tips since I've had these before and loved them plus the full set was $75.00 so I wanted to get exactly what I requested but she had already done one hand there was not much I can do at that point. The shaping of my nails were fine but the nail tech managed to cut almost every one of my fingers / cuticles in the process (see pics below). Hopefully their tools were clean so I do not get an infection as a result of all my fingers being cut. I got a pedicure for $40.00 which seems overpriced for the service honestly. Overall the staff was nice but the service / quality does not match the price they ask for and they need to be more transparent with their "promotions" or lack there of. Their 4.8 stars on yelp may be a result of deleting bad reviews but who knows, I would choose to spend your money at a better salon for the price. read more

My experience here was not great. I was looking for a local place to get my nails done. I thought this place would make for a pleasant experience as it's on the harbor. I don't know the name of the tech who did my nails (she didn't speak to me or smile once), but I walked away with file burns on the sides of most of my nails. They were inflamed and hurt for a week.
