I recently purchased a Kia EV9 from Kia Garden Grove, and while there were some disappointing…read moreissues with the vehicle itself, the service and staff have been outstanding. After taking delivery, we discovered that the AC was not working, there was a significant dent in the fender that had been missed, and the vehicle was not as clean as I would have expected. Needless to say, that was frustrating and took away from the excitement of getting the car. That said, Kia Garden Grove has gone above and beyond to make things right. They provided a loaner vehicle, arranged to have the dent repaired, fixed the AC issue, and even delivered the EV9 back to me while picking up the loaner on the return trip. The staff has been professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful throughout the process. I am still bummed about the initial condition of the EV9, but I really appreciate how they handled the situation and stood behind the customer experience. Overall, amazing service and a great team. I would just hope the vehicle inspection and delivery prep process improves so future customers don't run into the same issues.

I am writing this review to warn other customers, especially people who are new to the United…read moreStates, about my experience with Garden Grove Kia. On June 13, 2026, I went to Garden Grove Kia intending to purchase a brand-new vehicle. After reviewing my credit, I was told that because I was new to the U.S. and had a limited credit history, they would not sell or finance a new vehicle for me. Instead, they strongly pushed me toward purchasing a used vehicle with a very high interest rate. The vehicle they recommended already had a brake problem. I was repeatedly told that it was only a minor issue, that there was nothing to worry about, and that the vehicle would be repaired and ready for delivery by Monday. I trusted what I was told. Monday came, then Tuesday, Wednesday, and even Thursday, yet the vehicle was still not repaired and could not be delivered. That was the moment I realized the problem was probably much more serious than I had been told. While waiting, I carefully reviewed my contract and was shocked to discover that I had been charged approximately $3,500 for an extended warranty. During the sales process, I was led to believe the vehicle was covered up to 100,000 miles. I did not understand that I was actually purchasing a separate warranty costing thousands of dollars. As someone who is new to the United States, I trusted the people at this dealership. I honestly believed they were trying to help me. Instead, I now feel that my lack of experience with the U.S. car-buying process was used against me. When I told them I no longer wanted the vehicle and asked to cancel the transaction, I was first told that cancellation was impossible because I had already signed the contract. Only after I insisted and told them I would file legal complaints did the sales manager finally agree to cancel the deal. Then something happened that made me even more uncomfortable. The sales manager brought me additional paperwork and asked me to sign before all the information and checkboxes had even been completed. I signed because I believed the cancellation was finally being processed. After that, I was told my $1,000 down payment would be refunded. First I was told a check would be mailed to me. Later I was told the money would instead be refunded to my card. As of today, I am still waiting for my money. I have called multiple times, and every time I receive a different answer or no meaningful response at all. This has been the worst car-buying experience of my life. I feel that because I was a first-time buyer in the United States with limited credit history, I was treated as an easy customer to pressure into signing documents I did not fully understand. Instead of honesty and transparency, I experienced broken promises, changing explanations, delays, and a complete lack of accountability. I have completely lost trust in this dealership. In my opinion, they care more about getting customers to sign contracts than about treating them fairly and honestly. If my refund is not returned by tomorrow, I will file formal complaints with my bank, the California Department of Motor Vehicles, the California Department of Consumer Affairs, the California Attorney General's Office, and every other appropriate consumer protection agency. I will also continue updating this review until my refund is returned and this matter is fully resolved. Please learn from my experience: never rely on verbal promises, read every page of every contract carefully, and do not sign any document that has not been fully completed. I hope no one else has to go through what I experienced.

SCAM CITY - BUYERS BEWARE…read more Buckle up, story time. I've been looking for a Lexus SUV for my family for a while. I saw Vision Hankook on Cars.com, and the LX570 was priced very competitively and looked amazing in pics. I spoke with Mateen, who was very eager and friendly, so this gave me high hopes. He also texted me videos and even more pictures, which had me salivating, thinking it was an amazing deal. I WAS WRONG. As I'm coming from San Diego (2 hours south via train), I told him it was important that the car be ready for me to see and that a local mechanic (near the dealership) review it. I would obviously pay for this service. Mateen had no issues with this and was *confident* the car would pass with flying colors - perfect! Our appointment was set for the following day at 11 am. The following morning, I take the day off work and book a train ticket to head up for our mutually agreed appointment, less than 24 hours prior. This is where things go wrong. 3/4 of the way up to our appointment, I received a text: "I apologize for today, I have to cancel, I just found out the owner sent the car to auction yesterday afternoon, it won't be possible to view the car today, it should be back tomorrow, can you come tomorrow?" ABSOLUTELY NOT. But also, why would you take a car to sell at auction, then tell me it will be there tomorrow? Mind you, Mateen had sent me pictures of the car the afternoon prior, so I don't know when this would have happened. I explain that I am on the train and will not cancel the appointment; I will still go to his office, OR I will take an Uber to see the car at the auction. At this point, I am committed. I could sense that scared Mateen a little. He scrambled, said the owner had been notified, and that he would have the car at the dealership by 4 pm that same day. Extremely frustrated by the lack of communication and professionalism, but I've already committed time/money to this journey, so I'd like to see it through. When I arrived at his office, Mateen greeted me very apologetically and had me wait in one of the cubicles next to what looked like a TikTok spam bot center with multiple cellphones ringing and chirping over and over. I informed Mateen that I'd like to speak with the owner and find out where the car was so I could see it at the auction. He said we were in luck! The car was on its way. Great!! 15, 20, 30, 45 minutes go by. I ask Mateen, "Do we have an ETA? If the car isn't coming, I need to book a train home." He says, "Oh, let me get the owner." Out comes another man, whose name I was not able to remember, and he says, "Oh, the car is next door at the mechanic." Weird, it was supposed to be at the auction...? "Yes, it WAS at the auction, but we just got here because we found a small leak in the radiator, and we are replacing it now for you - you can go see it if you want." I AM SO GLAD I LOOKED AT IT.............. HALF OF THE ENGINE WAS OUT (I have pictures) The intake manifold was off the engine, there was dried coolant all over the block and in the intake port itself. This means there was a gasket leak, and it probably overheated. Not only that, the mechanic didn't even have the car on proper jack stands or a lift; the front wheels were off, and the car was sitting on its base suspension on the ground!!! What probably happened was, they KNEW a mechanic would call this out, so they tried buying time to quickly fix it/patch it up so I (or some other sucker) would buy it, not knowing about the ticking time bomb under the hood. As someone who has worked on engines before, I know that whole process takes time, removing the sensors, bolts, manifold, etc. So the car was NEVER at the auction, and they were caught in a lie! After all this, Mateen, knowing I had just caught on to their ruse, has the gall to ask, "So would you like to come back and test-drive tomorrow?" Needless to say, Mateen, I would not... Like I said - BUYER BEWARE

When I visited the dealership and checked out the 2018 Mazda 3 hatchback, I requested to take the car to my 3rd-party mechanic to get a second opinion and Jay had no issues whatsoever letting me test drive the car and drive it over to the mechanic by myself. I got the thumbs-up from my guy and he said everything looked great under the hood and I drove back to Karland Motors and we started talking numbers, Jay was very transparent during the process and called multiple credit unions trying to get me the best interest rate and lowest monthly payment...Since he knew this was my first car-buying experience he made sure I was explained everything thoroughly and gave me good advice along the way. Karland Motors doesn't tack on ANY unnecessary fees (besides the obvious sales tax, registration fee w/ DMV, $85 document fee, $29 title transfer, $60 emissions test). They don't push any hidden dealer warranty's, "mandatory" anti-theft device charges, market adjustment fees, prep fees, no B.S.....When I returned the next morning to pick up my car, it was washed, had a full tank of gas, oil changed and smogged!

Each car she has gotten has been a remarkable deal and not even comparable to dealerships we have checked out. We have had negative experiences at dealerships due to the constant negotiations and wasting of time and pressure from sales people. However, we have worked closely with Paul and he has always given us the best deal without us even having to think twice. Today we got a new lease and we weee so thankful to Paul as he was the one who reached out to us to let us know he had an exceptional deal. Again, the deal he gave us was significantly cheaper than other dealerships and we didn't even hesitate to grab the offer. Also every time we come to pick up the car, Paul has been extremely kind and helpful and is genuinely happy for us for our new car. Would definitely recommend Karland to all our friends and family and would pick them over any dealership any day. Keep up the exceptional service!

Thank you Ben Auto and to Henry and Paul for great service and a great car!…read more I just purchased my Honda Accord from these guys earlier this month, and it was a very easy and painless process. They were very flexible with me scheduling a test drive and letting me check out the car. They were flexible with a pre-purchase inspection at the local dealership which took longer than expected, and payment and paperwork was very quick and easy thanks to Paul. Ben Auto offered a very competitive and fair price below market value for my car and no negotiation was necessary. This was my first solo serious car purchase for me and I'm very happy I found these guys. Since I bought it, the car has run beautifully over 1000 miles in the first month and there were no issues at pre-purchase inspection. Also had a clean title and AutoCheck report before purchase, and no recalls. Only a fuse and couple of light bulbs needed to be swapped in and Henry took care of that immediately with no appointment necessary. Made me feel like I owned the place. Also, don't be fooled by this humble little dealer when you show up. They may not have all the shine and "perks" of the big guys, but you'll get none of the b.s. and a great car at a great price. Thanks Ben Auto Haus!

These scam artists pray on the vulnerable & those looking for a simple car! Not even 8 months ago I went in for a Honda accord that was for 7 grand & was about to put 2 grand down when they changed their mind & did the old bait & switch raising the price to $13 grand, but oh we have a brand new car that you like, more reliable, great on gas & it's a Toyota! I didn't know what a Mirai was, neither did they, but I was approved on the spot, but had to wait for a second approval on the phone! Next day I found out it isn't a hybrid as I thought & as they claimed, it's a fking hydrogen car that aint shit, IT'S JUNK! By law I had 3 days to return the vehicle & I tried to do that, but the owner of the place was violent over the phone, talking shit & threatening to sue me & I still have the recording! I was nice & courteous & wanted him to take the car back, he kept refusing, then stopped answering my calls! The owner also claimed I got the second approval, he got his money, yet I was told over the phone by the finance lady that somebody will notify me in 3 days to a week, so how the fk the next day he got his money?! Well somehow, he did, & I'm stuck with this brick! Scam artists! Not even a year yet, been 8 months now, money I don't have, I had to change 3 tires that we're old & dry rotted, but they claimed it was new! I still have to change the passenger side! That's about $1300 on 3 tires already! I wonder what name they'll come up with to scam more people! Car Gurus claimed them to be the number one used auto dealership in Orange County, I fell for that shit!
