If I could give this place a zero review, I would these people did a recall on my airbag of my Chevy Silverado and ever since then I've been having a check airbag light on and off periodically. I scheduled an appointment to have it checked out the woman on the phone never mentioned paying to have a diagnostic check on the airbag. They previously serviced came out early this morning and was told there's a strong chance they be would charge me $250 to have my airbag light checked out. I will never come to this place again! Good job Chevy. This is how you loose clients and customers this is why all these corporations are falling GREED! People are finding other ways.

    Crack and lifted panel.

Dropped off Tahoe with an agent in service department for a recall airbag replacement. Part of protocol is to inspect dash for damage. The agent and I sit in the vehicle and visually inspect dash for no damage. If it was damaged, I assume they would document that. "Tim" the service manager stated there are no notes (and they only inspect the 1 inch around the airbag) So, no damage? More on that later. I return to speak to Service Manager once i discovered it and showed him the shoddy workmanship, significant crack in the dash, plastic parts with broken tabs ,broken plastic parts found on floorboard. He says a dash overlay is the only option, provided a quote for almost $900 assuming we call and schedule at no cost. Also that he can have the broken panels parts plastic welded. I call back a couple months later to schedule. Agent says I'm responsible for the cost of dash but only because I asked. Transfers me to Tim. Tim tells me Tahoes in the South and Internet says it's a common thing to get cracks in the dash, not their problem, took zero responsibility. I'm not in the South and neither has this truck and I don't believe everything on the Internet. Usually I move on and learn my lesson but fiance, mother and sister all purchased vehicles from and USED to get service from there. As I searched for alternative service departments I stumbled upon these relatable reviews here on yelp. When I think of customer service and quality of work issues at any company I look for trends. This service dept is trending down. Not going to return for a 4th time to try to fix the rear defrost cable hanging there either. Our vehicles have been in and out of this service department and have not had luck with quality of work. Fewer radio commercials and more service tech training?

The Service Department is horrible. This is the third time I brought my vehicles for an oil change just to come home a couple hours later to find oil all over my drive way. This last time I was lucky that my oil plug did not fall off on the freeway.

    Key Fob

Last week I had some dealership service performed on my Chevrolet. I brought in a spare OEM key fob and asked if they would program it to my vehicle while it was there. Service advisor Chelsea Garrett informed me that since it was not in my appointment notes I would need a separate appointment. I presented the OEM key fob, she quoted me $40 to have it programmed. Today at my scheduled follow-up appointment I was informed it would be $197 plus tax to program the same key fob. This is a 500% increase over my quote. They now say it's because I didn't purchase the key fob from this dealership. This is nothing new as I had the key fob at my original appointment and they examined it. I like getting all my vehicle service done at the Chevy dealership, but was disappointed with this bait and switch tactic to up-charge me by 500%.

Used to be good. Can't even get them to get their schedule right for an oil change now. Customer service sucks.

I have a 22 year old subaru, which obviously has its quirks at that age. Normally I take to Yelp for everything (duh), but I decided to post in a local Facebook mom's group about our recent issues in search of a mechanic that is tried, true, and reliable. River City Repair was suggested by another local mom, and from there it was less than a WEEK that we had our car up and running with no shady business done. Mark, the owner, actually owns two tow trucks and was able to come tow my vehicle for an incredibly affordable price to the shop. Not only that, but they called me their next business day before 9am with a diagnosis and price. From approving the fixes to the car being ready (and there was a laundry list) it took 48 hours.... 48 HOURS! They worked incredibly fast for the work that needed to be done. And for 8 total things that needed to be fixed (a couple that were major and made it so we couldn't drive the car), we were out the door for parts and labor for less than $2,500. My husband was dumbfounded at their honesty and affordability after a year of dealing with car issues/shady businesses between the two of us. We were ready to throw in the towel and scrap the car and just buy something new even though we reallllly didn't want to, so I am SO glad I posted on that page and was introduced to River City Repair. I met Mark's wife, Tana, over Facebook and she was the one who put all of the gears into motion to get us scheduled to even offering a one-time free diagnostic to help out a local fellow mom. Mark personally drove the truck to pick our car up and he was such a kind, personable guy - even down to showing our two year old truck-obsessed son a few things on the tow truck (and totally making his day). Mark made a comment about his clients becoming like family, and I can TOTALLY see why. They're such great, honest people and this is the epitome of a small local business being a pillar in their community. Hands down we have found our go-to shop. Thank you to the entire River City Repair team for all of their kindness and hard work!

When Tuesday…read morearrived, we hadn't heard anything so we called them at 145PM (appointment was supposed to be at 330pm) to ask if they were tracking our appointment. Joey said that the scheduler had been down since Monday and they had no record of our appointment. We made the appointment last week on Thursday so no idea why that would matter. He said bring the car in and they would do their best to get to it. We showed up at 330pm, Joey was out. We talked to the guy at the counter, he said we could bring it back Thursday or Friday to get it done. We told him Joey said to bring it in today. He called Joey, who told him that he called us at 1115am and left a voicemail (we never got a call or voicemail) and said it wouldn't be today. Nobody knew we had an appointment until we called them at 145pm, so no idea where that even came from. After some back and forth, we were told to come back Friday morning at 9am to get it done. We wanted to just take the tires and go somewhere else, but everything had already been paid for online so we agreed. Showed up at 9am, dropped the car off for the tires to be put on and got the call to come back a couple hours later. We noticed that the words "INSIDE" were on the outside of 3 of the 4 tires, and asked the tech if that was supposed to be like that, since these were asymmetrical tires with different tread patterns on the inner & outer edges. He said it was fine, and the inside/outside words didn't matter. We also pointed out that they had put both 255 tires on one side of the car, and both 235 tires on the other side. They were supposed to be 235s in the front and 255s in the back. He took the car back in and swapped the tires to the correct position and we left. When we took the car on the highway, we felt some vibration. Suspecting the tires were either mounted/balanced incorrectly, or the inside/outside words mattered (like we brought up to the tech), we had the VW dealership take a look at our service appointment a week later. They told us flat out it was wrong and we should take it back for them to fix. We were already done with this shop at this point, so we just paid for VW to remove the tires from the rims and flip them so the orientation words were displayed correctly and rebalance them. Vibration gone, ride is way smoother.
