Here's my list of concerns: COST: I suspect that buying from FTF is similarly priced to buying at Whole Foods, which bums me out, because I want to eat a raw diet, and it's hard to afford, even buying directly from the farm! Why is it as costly as Whole Foods? VARIETY: Although I can remove items I do not want included, I cannot add items (or favorites) to replace the items that I do not want. WHAT I LIKE: What keeps me buying a box every week is the flavor! I guess it is because it was recently picked off a tree or out of the ground. Also, the produce is organic which means it's not as pretty, and often smaller, but it's the real thing and the taste is amazing. COMPETITION: There are several farms in the nearby areas, but they use pesticides ... Underwood Farms is close by, and they claim they do not use pesticides ... their prices are similar, but you can pick it up and choose items. They're truly local. Next I'm buying organic produce from Abundant Harvest - a California co-op that supports California farmers. I will need to pick up my box as opposed to having it delivered, but I don't care about that.
