Their bottles are beautifully designed - Bethlehem takes the mantle of a Christmas town, and the bottles that embrace that image are so nice to have for the holidays.

Their Red Table wine is like a milder Cab with a clean finish, enough to eat with a meal or sipping. I'm not into white but the Gertrude wasn't sweet at all, in fact all of their wines are quite dry, even their Rose. We've been many CT wineries, with Hopkins and Stonington Vineyards being the best, the wine quality approaches what these more established places deliver. The venue is intimate, it's small, ie, 50-60 people would fill up most of the seating in the barn/deck, but there an outside seating area adjacent that peeps walk past and aren't aware of. There were maybe 25 people there and it was fine. Parking could be tight if busy, but I suspect very few people know of this place. Owners were very nice, and love talking about their wines. Jim especially. Note no food, other than a cheese box which was good, but you can bring your own... I'd give it 5 stars but felt the flight serving pour was a bit small.
