We just moved to the area and decided we wanted to try a place where we could watch the sunset over Green Bay, and this place fit the bill. We knew that the sun was to set around 8:30pm that night, so we got there at 8:15 pm and got our order in. Food was served just as the sun was setting, which was gorgeous. The view is semi obstructed by a tree and cabin in front, but if you watch from the bar side or outer deck, you get a better view. As Fall and winter come, the sunset should be directly in front instead of to the north as it is in the summer. For the meal, we opted for a couple Wisconsin cheeseburgers and fries. They were cooked to perfection and teh price was very reasonable. Service was excellent and teh staff is very friendly. After dinner, we walked off our dinner by leaving the car there and walking down to the end of the point and back, there went a few hundred calories, right there! We look forward coming back and perhaps trying a Friday night fish fry. read more

Friendly service and delicious burgers! The bread is toasted and fluffy good. The freshness of the tomatoes, pickles and onion - Delicious! It's just the right amount of extras too. I did not get cheese on mine, but everyone else was very pleased with their cheese burgers. The French fries were not fried twice, so not as crispy as they could of been, but tasty. We had 2 pizzas as well. Pepperoni and one with sausage, mushroom and olives. They were tasty. Nice crust. Great local place to get an awesome burger. read more

We came here for dinner our last night in town and while the food was good and reasonably priced, the sunset view was out of this world beautiful and enough of a reason that I would come back. They have a patio but it was a little windy so we ate inside. Lots of fish options including fresh caught/locally sourced. Burgers were as expected, steak looked good. I didn't have a mask when I walked in and he said I needed one, I asked if he sold one and he said $2 which I paid to wear the 10 steps from the door to the table. We ate and left and were in the parking lot for like 5 minutes looking at the sunset when he came out and jumped me cause I didn't wear a mask into the restaurant and I needed to respect him. The food here is good but the service is terrible. We always go here for dinner on the 4th of July when we come off the water, usually the service is okay, not great but okay. Tonight there were 3 servers for a total of 20 people between the bar, the dinning room and the patio, not super busy but it took forever to get a check and our waitress was just rude; "what do you want?" Might give it another shot because it is our tradition but they need to be nicer to people. I recommend the blue cheese burger and they also have good pizza but the beer selection is lacking, not much to choose from if you like IPA. read more

Little disappointed in the amount of food for the price I paid. Fish fry was really scarce with the amount of fish for the price. Bacon wrapped scallops we good but really crunchy on the bacon. More bacon taste over the scallops. But I do have to say that the home made key lime pie was fabulous!! View of the bay was beautiful both from patio and window seat. read more

Should of left before we even sat down. Stopped in tonight 8/31 for dinner and walked past the patio area and inside to ask about seating and the waitress told me to go walk through as there was more outdoor seating in back. So I walk through and don't see any patio area. I went and asked the bartender and was told the only outside seating was the area I walked past. She hollered at one of the waiters to come serve us. We waited about 15 minutes with zero service. Not even the waitress serving the table next to us acknowledged us. Pretty salty as this place isn't even 2 miles from where I'm staying. My wife and another couple came to this establishment for a Friday night fish fry last Friday evening. I chose the fish combo of pan fried perch and walleye. I was told Pan fried was a specialty of theirs. I chose the summer squash as a side. This was the worst thrown together rip off fish fry I've had in Wisconsin in decades. The pan fried breading popped off the walleye filet as I put a fork in it. Not a huge deal. But for the price?! It was a ridiculously small walleye filet, and a few perch fillets. $24.95? or $25.95 for this "combo". If it weren't for grill marks in the squash? You wouldn't have known it was cooked. I don't throw bad reviews out there just because I don't have a wonderful experience at a place. I know it's not always easy. But I spoke to the owner after dinner. And it didn't go well. Before that, the server gave me the, "well you ate it!", when I asked if this was a normal combo meal. Do yourself a favor. Skip this place. There's many other options in Door County. read more

New Owners are very friendly and chatty. Beautiful location, especially for sunsets, and food is better than it was with the old owners. One of the best Fish Frys I've ever had! Very fresh. Menu is slightly smaller than a year ago but is certainly more focused. I'd recommend the fish fry, burgers, pizza, and most definitely the cheese curds. Nice beer selection as well. Our perch plate was 18.95 which is way more expensive than any other perch plate you'll get in door County and it will be the same if not better food. For two adults and one child our bill came to $60........or so we thought! Apparently our waitress didn't charge us our bar tab......so she came to my place of work three weeks later handing me a receipt asking me to pay her the $30!!!! I called Sunset bar and Grill to place a complaint with the owner because I think that it was extremely distasteful and unprofessional of someone to do that! The owner told me that when waitresses screwup he makes them pay for the mistakes bc otherwise he wouldn't be profitable and incourages then to call the customers to recharge them!!! I told him that that is unprofessional and hung up on him, he proceeded to call me back and leave a voicemail standing behind his decision to have his staff do this! How disgusting! Low class! Maybe your waitresses shouldn't screw up! And I'm a local, I will not be frequenting this establishment ever again! read more

There were only a few restaurants by our resort, so we chose this place as the menu provided more than just a bar burger/pizza. I was very upset when we left this place! We sat at the bar right away because they didn't have seating available. We ordered a drink right away, looked over the menu and chose a few steak dinners. As we were waiting to order, a gentleman came up to the bar and told us he was waiting 50 minutes for his food and needed another drink. We debated leaving at that time, but chose to stick it out as we wanted more than just bar food. About 20 minutes after we put our order in the bartender advised they were out of salad and we agreed to go with the other option, which was soup. Another 15 minutes later the bartender advised me they were out of baked potato and only had fries. As disappointed as I was, I told her that was okay. We got our meal and there was hardly seasoning on the steaks. It wasn't what we expected, but still ate it as we were hungry. After our meal was served the party of 4 next to us got their meals and one person had the baked potato come out with her meal. I noticed it right away and complained to my boyfriend. Another 5 minutes passed and the couple next to us got salads! That was it for us. We closed our tab out right away and left very disturbed. I will not go back here again and told our resort we were staying at what happened and advised not to recommend it to anyone. read more

The waitress screwed up our bill and came back ten minutes later as we waved her down. Then she rung up our bill and messed it up again. Again this took ten minutes to fix something that should have taken a minute. Order anything off the menu and it will be deep friend. I dare you to find something on this menu that isn't deep friend. If you want fish or steak go to wave point which is five minutes away. read more
