Service was okay. View was nice. Seating was good for us. Music was good. Chicken sandwich was very tasty, burger as well, and shrimp not so much. Beer was cold. They have a bunch of smoothies on the menu that they don't have. Can't do virgin drinks other than a strawberry daiquiri due to them being made in drink machine.

There are many less touristy places that have less expensive food and the same sunset. That said if you just want a key west experience then walking out onto this pier for sunset is a must! Food is good, drinks are good and views and service are great!

We happily got a small high top outside just before the sun was setting. What an amazing view to have at dinner. Went for an easy burger order. The food was great. The margaritas were perfect, not too sweet! Our server(s) were great. Zero complaints and will definitely be back on my next visit

The Sunset Pier is adjacent to Mallory Square. It is very casual. We were the first ones on the pier. The chairs were stools, which I find very uncomfortable, also the pier gets quite hot. There were a number of chairs with backs. Randi, our waitress, was great and didn't rush us while we decided on our drinks, and food. There was music as you got closer to Sunset. Try the Key Lime Pie. It is the official pie of Florida. We walked back to Mallory Square for the Sunset, but you can enjoy the Sunset right from the Sunset Pier, and enjoy the band.

If you want to have a great time and watch the sun set on the west coast while in key west, this is your place to go!!! We sat out on the pier and you can see the beautiful gulf. The sunset here was gorgeous! The food was great, but I was so busy taking in the views that I forgot to snag pictures. They have draft beer, bottle and a full bar. Lots of local craft beers as well. They have a great stage for live music and room for a dance floor on the pier. Our server was so fun, even dancing with us. She also recommended several other good spots to check out while we were there. Definitely a must do when in Key West!

Perfect place to enjoy a meal with a view in Key West. The atmosphere is laid-back with live music, colorful seating, and unbeatable sunset views right over the water. Nothing fancy, but as the name states, Sunset pier is the best place to watch the sunset. Arrives early, order some drinks and apps and stay for dinner with live music. We got the lobster roll and poke bowl and both were great! Ambiance was exactly what we were looking for with the live music, breeze, views and chill vibes. Also got a Bloody Maria that was pretty good too. French fries were a bit salty and lobster roll didn't have mayo which was different but delicious. Definitely recommend coming here and maybe even for the sunset too.

Happened upon this because we heard the Key West Chick Fest was playing there. Was looking to watch the sunset in Mallory Square but recognized we were very close to SSP. Just had drinks so can't comment on the food, but the setting along the water, listening to music, and watching the sunset is awesome (and the drinks were good too).

The Sunset Pier has a great location and we enjoyed sitting on the pier while a young woman sang and played guitar. She was really enjoyable. The view is the draw and didn't disappoint but we had less than a great experience. First and foremost, the service was very slow when ordering or getting the check but the food came out quickly by a different person. I ordered a Paloma and it was awful. I didn't complain but can say that I would not recommend this drink. It was sour. My husband's pina colada was excellent. I ordered a lobster roll (served with fries) and although it was not traditional, there was plenty of lobster and the bun was toasted. My husband's burger was very large and greasy. For dessert, the key lime pie was quite good. Finally, the bathrooms are located in the parking garage nearby and I had to ask for directions. The bathrooms were not clean and one of two toilets was not working.

Did not come for sunset, but stopped by for lunch on a Saturday and had a great time. The male bartender was awesome, easy to chat with, and made delicious drinks. He constantly kept making sure we were taken care of even when they started getting busy. We tried some of the smaller plate options and they were a win all around. Pretzels and the shrimp tostada Obviously the view is beautiful and the colorful chairs and tables with the island music paints the perfect picture!

Came here for drinks and a beautiful sunset view. View was BEAutiful. Food not so much--got the conch fritters which were subpar--parts of the conch (particularly the outer fried parts) were so tough and chewy that it was more work than fun to eat. Drinks are OK, but not anything special. First come first deserve seating, so come early or stake out a spot! read more

If you're looking for a place to watch the sunset and grab a bite or a drink, this would be one of my top recommendations. The beer selection is limited, the mixed drink list is slightly better, and the food is what you'd expect for bar food. Sure they have things like conch fritters and Cuban sandwiches, but again, they're of the quality you'd expect for bar food. But then there's the rest of it: a great atmosphere, a great view of the water and Sunset Key, a great breeze, with young and old alike there really to snag a front-row seat for a fantastic sunset. Those things matter. Go for sunset. Don't go only for the food. And don't forget to stop by Mallory Square. read more

My favorite spot in all of Key West. Usually tourist destination spots can be overwhelming, overly crowded, pricey and overrated. This place was none of these things. My boyfriend and I went there two evenings in a row to watch the sunset. We had a GoPro and wanted to make good use of it, and this is definitely the perfect spot for not only sunset footage, but to watch the boats go by and the clouds move. We ordered some fairly priced drinks but my faorite was the Mexican Corn on the Cob. Their Mahi Fish Tacos were also great. I think this plae is so perfect and I love that they don't try to rip you off and let you enjoy the beautiful sunset with good music and a fantastic ambiance. In case you do want to watch the sunset, I would arrive at least a half an hour before it to grab the best seats. It can get a little crowded. read more

Went here for the band that was playing at 7pm, knowing well that they wouldn't have any specials or happy hours. Ordered a $13 "run runner" for the lady which was supposed to be made with captain rum and additional "dark rum float on the top". I watch the bartender make the drink with 0.5 oz captain Morgan, lots of slushee, and no dark rum. He then asks "$19 please?" for my canned beer and the frozen. I confronted him about the limited pour and zero dark rum on top as advertised. In exchange i receive an aggressive "splash" of dark Bacardi and a sarcastic "$19 now!" I paid. But i shouldn't have to ask extra special for advertised bare minimums. Wouldn't come back. read more

Amazing view! Unfortunately the night we went to check it out, it was super cloudy and windy, so it just wasn't the best. However, the view just can't be beat. It's amazing! It's a fantastic spot to just grab a beer and watch the sunset. The food doesn't look that great, so we didn't eat, but definitely check it out for the sunset! read more

My boyfriend and I only came here for drinks so my review is purely based on that. If you want a spot to look out at the water, drink a mojito, and watch the sail boats, look no further. That's what we did here a couple of times during our trip. Come for that! read more

Very cool spot, my review won't be as good since I didn't get further than the bar and because I got there after 10pm on a Saturday and it was empty - which I thought was weird btw. I think this spot is more for viewing the sunset as it happens because there are a ton of hightop tables and chairs covered by umbrellas. I would recommend this spot for seeing the sunset, I can imagine it would be beautiful. My experience at the bar was great, my bartender was very cool and made me my drinks with a smile... read more

3 stars for the best sunset view (hence the name) but i have to say its one of the worst service we had while in town. We were staying at the Ocean Key resort and I was dying to stop by. Every time they brought a plate of food by the pool my mouth would drool. For one the waitress was very busy eating her food behind the bar to pay attention. She then would talk with her mouth full, take another bite and asked if we wanted anything else. I ordered the burger which was not bad but the chips that they come with barely have any in the bag. When I asked for ranch I was given something else and had to wait while the waitress thought about whether it was ranch or not (it wasnt) I would also recommend ordering the burger with their aioli sauce which was great but I don't think the waitress new it existed. read more

We ran into this place biking and yelp reviewers said it was great so we decided to eat dinner here! We came right before the $5 steam shrimp special was over so we took advantage of that right away and ordered some conch fritters, they both were good! I ordered a Cuban type sandwich and my boyfriend ordered a Sunset burger for dinner. I liked my sandwich better than his burger BUT hey his was only a burger. Get the rum runners, they were yummy and if you check in on yelp you get $1.50 of a draft beer or frozen drink! It really is a lovely place to watch the sunset, amazing view! read more

Great late lunch two days ago. Had the Lobster sandwich with applewood bacon and garlic fries. All fresh and very flavorful. My husband had the Conch Fritters and a Wedge Salad which was large enough for two. Service was very good and you cannot beat the view from the pier as sailboats and other boats pass by as you dine. Great entertainment which is two bands playing for four hours each. read more

We stayed at the impeccable Ocean Key Resort and this pier is attached. We ended up with a couple of vodka Orange caprihlana's (yum!), Lobster BLT... just ok, not stellar and the BBQ pulled pork...was excellent! My daughter had the Turkey club and said it was delicious! French fries were really good and service was very good. Those damn Seagulls jumped down and grabbed my fries just after the server walked away but they replaced my food without a second though..thank goodness !! But we did have to fight those birds off the whole time we ate...little stressful. We probably would have stayed longer and another drink if they did something to scare the 10-15 birds away otherwise we could not relax and had to leave. However food was very good, definitely worth visiting and just take an umbrella to protect yourself and your food!! :o) read more

First off, BEAUTIFUL view!!! Very lovely and scenic. As for the food, The Mahi-Mahi Sandwich was delicious along with the wings and fries. The corn on the cob was the bomb dot com!! Sooo good! We also ordered the a side of garlic fries and they definitely overloaded on the garlic. A little too much to actually enjoy the garlic/frie mixture. We didn't stay long enough to see the sunset but this is definitely the place to be for it. Very pretty and the staff was decent as well. read more

Two stars only because the waitresses were good and I feel bad for them. Come here for a beer and the sunset...eat somewhere else. The food was pretty terrible, the Cuban looked like it was off the Kids Meal, tasted like a kid made it, slaw has no flavor at all, fries might have been ok but we didn't eat them because they were cold. read more

The service at this place sucks. Wrong orders, out of order, and unattentive staff.My water has been empty for about an hour now. It would be a much higher rating if the service was better because the food is very good. It would be great also to have anyone who speaks english here, maybe that would fix the issues with the service. The waitress was rude and spoke over us the entire time, and totally just skipped my father when taking our orders and walked away. Honestly just terrible. Get it to go maybe? read more

The location is really incredible and the drinks are quite tasty! Unfortunately we did not get to experience lunch. After we had placed our lunch order, our waitress proceeded to take lunch orders on an additional 4 other tables (20 + minutes) before entering any of her previous orders. We only had appetizers and drinks but neither were great. We ordered shots and the alcohol was so warm, we had to order some ice to drop in it just to get it down. Then our lobster mac and cheese was actually not heated through all the way so the parm cheese they sprinkle on top didn't melt at all. Even if it had been heated up, I can't imagine it would be worth the calories. The conch fritters had hard bits of something in them, like they had been made with the leftovers from the grill of the day before. Obviously it's a nice place to catch the sunset and enjoy live music so just grab beers here and then move on. read more

Our waiter was knowledgeable of the menu, friendly, and never kept us waiting or wanting for anything. He brought clean flatware between courses and kept our beverages full. I enjoyed the Heart of Palm salad with added grilled shrimp which was plentiful. Others at the table had the snapper (whole fish!), lobster fettuccine, and roasted chicken. We also devoured the lobster Mac and Cheese as a starter. I would definitely recommend dining her if you want higher end service and food right on Duval Street.

Sunset Pier in Key West is an absolute gem! The atmosphere alone is worth the visit--serene, laid-back, and just the perfect spot to unwind. Carly, the bartender, was an absolute standout! She not only served up some fantastic drinks but also added that extra touch of warmth and hospitality that made the experience even better. Though the sunset didn't make its grand appearance during my visit, the anticipation and the vibe at Sunset Pier were still incredibly enjoyable. Sipping on an Amstel Light, I found myself completely immersed in the moment, eagerly awaiting nature's spectacle--maybe next time, right? This place is a definite must-visit in Key West! The ambiance, the service, and the overall experience make it a standout destination. I can't wait to return and hopefully catch that elusive sunset, but even without it, Sunset Pier has already left an unforgettable impression. Cheers to many more memorable moments here! read more

Went there last night to watch the sunset. First time to Key West and heard this place had great food and a gorgeous sunset view, well one out of is only ok when you add in a horrible blindside shot. My wife and I enjoyed ok food, Yucha fry appetizers are great, lobster Mac and cheese, eh. Then the sunset view, well I imagine it would have been nice but there was a live "band" (two guys and a lot of electrical equipment) there. They were so loud and the music sucked so bad we gave up trying to yell (couldn't talk, "music" was too loud) at each other and left. Extremely disappointing. read more

Tried the fried chicken sandwich and the blackened mahi-mahi sandwich both were absolutely mouth-watering. The flavors were spot on, fresh, and satisfying. The relaxed beachside ambiance made the experience even more special, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Al makes you feel at home at Sunset Pier! Always good drinks, (pineapple was purchased elsewhere but pic is at the pier) the food is great, we had the fish dip and it was super fresh and authentic! Great music performers and nice breeze when you're too hot from walking down Duval Street. read more
