I love this place, well I've never eaten inside here, but I do order food here a lot to go. The thin crust pizza is always amazing no matter what toppings you get on it. The chicken parmesan is really good as well. Now this restaurant is pretty small and there's only a handful of tables so don't be surprised if you have to wait. Family owned, which is always nice, and they deliver as well. read more

What a delicious treat! After a long day at the beach we were starving and didn't want to go home and cook. They made me a super delicious gluten free pasta. The sauce was really fresh and tasted homemade. My fiancé that wasn't cursed with a gluten allergy even couldn't tell the difference between their gluten free pasta and regular pasta. I ALMOST called to ask if they made sure it was gluten free but the box was clearly labeled and I didn't feel like I was going to die from a stomach ache 20 minutes after eating it so I knew I was in the clear. My kids got a cheese pizza and the crust looked so fluffy. They said it was some of the best pizza they've ever had. We did take out so as not to bother other patrons with our beach bum look that was bordering homeless attire and covered in sand. But upon walking in, I'll definitely go back for a sit down meal. It was such a cute place and their wine selection looked amazing! Definitely check them out! read more

This amazing hole in the wall is one heck of a find. Inside this small restaurant holds the best service and the most amazing food you'll ever have. Last night, I had the linguine with pesto, added shrimp. My husband had the tortellini with sausage. My husband said the sausage was really good. We have had lots of good Italian food, but this was the absolute best. I can't say it enough. We went back to grab some pizzas to go today. They did not disappoint. I loved the pesto so much they made me a "build your own" pesto pizza we also had a regular pizza with sausage, pineapples and ham (don't come at me cause of the pineapples, it's good lol). Give it a try and you won't be disappointed. read more

Wow! Just randomly happened to be in the area and looked up closest Italian restaurant and found these guys a couple blocks away. I wasn't expecting much since the name started with Pizza but after looking at the reviews and trying it out OMG so amazing. What a cute and remarkable hidden gem in Sunset. Everyone who works here is so welcoming and kind. I popped in on one of my walks to grab a glass of wine and a dessert. The Cannoli wasn't really my cup of tea, but the restaurant smelled so good I had to come back. I came back and had the pesto pizza and - oh my goodness, delicious! Have the cheesecake a try, not the best.. I will definitely be back for pasta, the smell of garlic from this location is just sensational! read more

Our family has barely just sat down and we're all having such a great time because this place is so cozy, the waitress is a dream (she's so positive and attentive), and the food here looks incredible. I will follow up with how the food was!! Edit *because we just finished eating*. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!!! The cheese pull was incredible (we got the sunset pizza with pineapple), the water was delicious (thats strangely really important to me), and I asked for a pesto sauce that turned out to be so delicious I was drinking it like soup (please do not judge me LOL). This place does not support Service Animals and gave us terrible service for no reason, rude waitress questioned my animal and asked for paperwork (not allowed to ask in the state of California) and why my animal doesn't have vest on with attitude. We were given awkward looks the entire time there and waited over 15 minutes just for them to tell us about our pet and our seating situation being moved. Secret spot for home style Italian food including great pizza. I believe there are only seven tables and four bar seats. Relaxed and casual environment. Recommend first visit sitting at the bar to get a front row seat of the kitchen. Hector and his team are hard working and put care in to every dish. Salads are delicious as well as their bread. Lasagne and fettuccine Alfredo are our favorites. They have a plate with two pastas and lasagne if you can't decide. Limited wine list but something for everyone. It was Saturday and I had read such great reviews. We brought our two year-old grand niece her mom, my wife it's a tiny little place but we got in and got served. Service is a little slow, but it was jammed. It was Saturday. The food was good we enjoyed it. We didn't try pizza, but we probably should have and we probably would next time. Well you know the saying, some of the best food is inside those little whole in the wall places, & the Sunset Pizza & Pasta is one of those! They are busy cooking right in the front & the homemade bread they give you to dip in oil & vinegar is the best I've ever tasted! I had the Antaplasta salad, it was great along with that Bread! My husband had the sausage & meatball pasta he loved it! We HAD to come back for some pizza! We had the meat lovers & of course we loved that too! This is my to go pizza place when I'm in the area. Discovered it when I was night kayaking across the street and the kayaking place ordered from them. Had the chicken Bbq pizza and I'm hooked, pepperoni, and veggies pizza was also good but it was my first time I had ever had chicken bbq and now I love. My friend ordered a salad and it was huge. It's a small place but I think it's been here for a long time and I can see why because the pizza's were delicious. Call ahead and do a pick as I'm sure this place gets busy. This place is tiny but legit and has been around for awhile. Unfortunately there is only street parking but it's worth if you have to drive around awhile looking for a space. Stopped here to get some takeout to take it to eat on the beach. We got fast service and the waitress was kind enough to ask us if we were going to be eating on the beach so they could provide some plates and utensils. I got the meatball sandwich and it was amazing. The meatballs were nicely seasoned and bread was fresh, have to eat it fast though or the bread gets soggy. It comes with a side salad as well. I also ordered a small three cheese pizza for my son. He loved it, it was super cheesy, nice cheese pull. The crust was baked superbly. I would love to dine in one day and maybe try some of their pastas. Plus this place is minutes walk from the beach! read more

Yelp was the means we used to satisify our craving for some excellent pizza - the app let us straight to Sunset Pizza and we were NOT disappointed! So happy that we finally did! They have a terrific happy hour from 4 pm till 6 pm so we had a couple appetizers, deviled eggs and coconut shrimp. They were so yummy! For my main course I decided on the Yucatán Chicken and my wife their Spaghetti and Meatballs. Both of those dishes were thoroughly awesome! A terrific taste treat to say the least! For dessert we shared the Banana Pie! So extremely delicious as well. Our waitress did a wonderful job describing the dishes and the cocktails we enjoyed. Hoping to visit again next time we are in the area!

You can set up a camp outside the venue as well right on the beach front. It can get crowded over the weekend depending on how popular the bands are. They have a restaurant with food and there is a bathroom on the side that's also for the public. Great way to enjoy the summer!

When we arrived we were told there was no chef so only a few items could be made from the menu. I chose a flatbread but was then told they had no gluten free bread. So we had to get the charcuterie which was so small and cost $30. Really ridiculous price for something with a few pieces of meat, cheese, grapes and nuts. The wine was good, and the tastings were generous and I know it is a wine bar but the day was really spoiled by not having a lunch there. I don't think I would go there again. If you do make sure they have a chef before you go if you want to eat.

I bought some wine yesterday and John assisted me. He explained the difference between "Reserva" and "Grand Reserva." He was helpful, knowledgeable, and even assisted me with carrying the box out to my car. Good prices and a wonderful selection of Chilean, South African, New Zealand, Australian, & Argentinean wines. I typically go to Costco and chat with the "Costco Sommelier," as I call him. He has helped me select wines as I have been lost in the wine isles at Costco previously. But at SHWC, I found my new "Sommelier," John, who shared the ratings of the wines and even info about cooking with wine. There were no Costco crowds to deal with! I did not have to wait in line! Hooray! So, off I went with my bottles of wine, which will make excellent gifts for my relatives. Thanks for all you do, John and SHWC. Here's an idea: Open up at tasting room at your center!! Thank you! We will be back again (not that we drink that much... it's our relatives that we typically purchase wine for. ) :-)
