DONT COME HERE!!! They think you aren't paying attention to the scale. So once he handed me the receipt I looked at it and said that doesn't make sense I had more lbs of plastic! Right away the other employee throws two of my bins and tossed them to the back and he was like sorry I can't re-weigh them. Mind you she knew what she was doing because she looked at me looking at receipts! As I told him I watched the scale and had more lbs, excuses starting running through his mouth. He knew I caught it. But stated he couldn't recount because it's unsure how much the other weighed, yet the ones I had left still weighed more then what the receipt said. You guys are horrible! To your reply, like I already said in the DM: Your guy could've proved me wrong right then and there when I asked him to weigh the reminders but what did he do continue to toss my bins! When even after the first two were tossed I knew the reminder 6 we're still more then the receipt. So no I am not making assumptions, he could've showed me at that exact moment I was wrong even after he threw some, I knew what I had left weighed more than what he entered! read more

I really wish they would allow you to leave a 0 star review. So my mom went in today with 2 large bags of recycling, probably around 20lbs each at 10am. The guys take her bags, dump them in, they fill up about 2 and 1/3 baskets. So as they're getting the weight, the guy turns the scale so my mom can't see. She moves around to see what the scale reads and the guy tells her to move back. You know, the whole 6 feet social distancing thing. No big deal, she complies. The guy turns around and says the 1/3 of the basket is good for $6. Then he says one of the full baskets is good for $8. Clearly my mom disputes this, so her and the guy go back and forth. Meanwhile the last basket is weighed and it's good for $20. So her argument is how can one full basket get you $20, while another full basket of the same recyclables go for $8? Here's the kicker. While she's arguing with the guy, his partner takes one of the baskets and dumps it into the crusher machine. So she can't even get her recyclables back! You would think at a time like this, during a crisis, when people are struggling to make ends meet people wouldn't try to rip each other off. But judging by the other reviews, this is how they conduct business here. Helluva Mother's Day gift for all her hard work collecting those recyclables. Shame. read more

Only giving one star because I can't give 0- it works if you get here and they feel like servicing you, otherwise, go elsewhere besides this location. It's a joke; 9 times out of 10 if you're an hour or two within closing they will tell you they they're closed. Waste of time. Usually run by one or two guys in their twenties or thirties who just want the rest of the day off, or simply just doesn't want to work/help. Told me "we're closed bro" (not the first time) when clearly not, or hours state otherwise. And I hadn't gone here for a good year thinking I'd give them one last chance, what a big mistake. Always rude and never a good experience. Go to the one off Whittier/Colima next to Ralph's better or Santa Fe Springs recycling center. read more

This location says it closes at 4pm, but on more than one occasion even when I go at 3:30 they say there closed and always use the excuse they are out of money. Today I go at 3:30, luckily this time I didn't get that excuse and I saw he was not out of money so I went back home to get more and was back in ten minutes. Now 3:40 he is magically out of money and closed. Why say your open til 4 when it isn't true. Waste of my time and gas. Lame!!!! 0 stars nit even 1. Wouldn't let me post without one. I've been going to this location for a few years now and have always had a pleasant experience. Their workers remember their regular customers and will to catch up with them which gives it a friendly environment. Earlier this week I went here and one of the workers, Erik, noticed I had more recycling then usual and asked me how school was amongst things. I'd suggested this recycling location over others due to their friendly workers/environment and I have never felt cheated out of my recycling profit as I have other places. read more

I've been going here for about year now and whenever I go here, there inly seems to be a woman working here and she has been courteous and personable. She is also helpful with the baskets as well so I don't know where the other reviews are coming from stating they are rude and try to cheat with the scales. I feel that they pay a fair price for the recyclables so I continue to go here. read more

Guy working this afternoon (4:30 pm, 5/1/2020) was hella rude to me. My brother and I came yesterday around the same time to do some recycling (not the most ideal time, but i'm working from home and it's the only time that works for both of us) and when we pulled up the guy said he was closed. I thought it was a little weird that he would be closing so early (30 minutes), but he took our stuff anyways. We showed up again today at around the same time and he made a rude and exasperated comment about how "this was the last time" because he "needed" 15 minutes to put everything away. Mind you, I don't this man, we didn't have that much, it was all pre-sorted, and maybe would've taken 15 minutes max to process. When we decided to take our business elsewhere, he tried to get us to stay like he hadn't just been rude 2 minutes prior. Hire some harder workers, y'all ‍ In response to the comment below, I will not remove this review as I would not lie for the sake of malice on Yelp of all places. Guess I must really be getting my moneys worth if this is a "fake review" that I am getting "paid "to write XD. My brother and I can both attest to this event and say that there was a man that helped us on both of these days with a poor attitude and a lack of understanding of how business hours work. We got there at 4:30, well before closing time, and we did end up taking our business elsewhere where we got great and efficient service. Thank you for the response though sir! Terrible experience of my life. Just let people know that I'm an Asian. The Owner of this place and one of the customer a Caucasian guy they are racist. What happened is yesterday I went there and trying to do my recycle. One of a Caucasian guy squeeze in in front of my space and cut up so I said, Sir, I was in the line and he ignored what I said. He didn't answer anything, He didn't even look at me and he keeps staying in the line. So I ask him again Sir, I was in the line what you are cutting in? did you hear what I said? I even ask him you saw me before you cut in. I was in the line why are you cutting in? He said "oh seem like you're in hurry you can go ahead of me. I can do next". I'm like what are you saying? You have no rights to offer me go ahead. I was in the line in front of you and you are the one whose cuts in. I have my rights. Why are you offering me? I even ask Owner you saw what happened and you saw I was in the line. But even Owner saw everything but didn't do anything to him. Owner was keeps laughing. took my recycling in today 08/07/2020 and had no problems. Attendants very prompt and courteous, I believe they were Nick and Nemo. I was paid per count with no problems, most other facilities I use I have to insist on count verses by weight. The entire process took about 2 minutes. I will definitely use this location again. read more

I work next door at Stater Bro's and came here on my break to try and get some recycling done. I only have 10 minutes on my break so I knew it was gonna be a risk. There was about 5 people also in line so I was hesitant at first if I'd have time. They blew me away with how quick they were, they were super organized and got everyone in front of me done so fast. I was able to get back to work without being late. I'd definitely recommend this place for people who have busy schedules and who might be in a rush.
