I have been shopping at The Sunshine Coast for about 5 years now and I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Very reasonable prices on smoking supplies, real nice art work, and its the best place to smoke hookah. They use nothing but the freshest tobacco and they keep their hookahs in impeccable condition. They even have diffusers on the hookahs to give you the smoothest rip possible. The guys there are very cool, Jason, the owner, is a really nice guy and knowledgeable. Very chill, laid back atmosphere. The guy that worked there when we went has an interesting sense of humor, but is still polite and professional and all that good stuff. He recommended "lava" so we went with that. Definitely a good flavor. He was good about replacing the coals for the hookah and it was hitting really well. It would be nice if the tables in the back got some more light and maybe had a couch or something. But I guess that's getting kind of nit picky. $5 a person seemed reasonable to me, so price wasn't an issue. I'll definitely give this place another go sometime soon. read more

They have tons of flavors that are pretty unique and very aromatic and tasty. The guys that run this place were pretty cool. The front of the store appears as your typical headshop, with the additional hookahs for sale. However, if you move to the back, therein lies a sleek and clean lounging area with movies playing on a plasma. I knocked off a star because the booth could have been just a bit more comfy (the back bolster was pretty low, making leaning back a bit uncomfortable). We tried the melon shisha, which was really nice. They were all sold out of their popular Lava flavor, so we'll have to try that out next time. 40+ flavors to choose from! read more

Okay, so my friends and I came here on a whim. We were in San Francisco and instead of going to a movie we decided to hookah and of course Haight Street was the best place to go. As we're driving on Haight Street looking for a place that was open (it was around 10 PM) one of my friends found this place, so we parked and headed inside. At first when we walked in we weren't sure it actually was a hookah bar, but sure enough if you walk to the back, the guys welcome you with a smile. First glance, we thought it was a kinda sketch place since the actual hookah area was small, but once settled in, the place wasn't bad at all. We also thought it was expensive too since the board said $15 per bowl then an additional $5 for each person. With the four of us we thought the total would be around $35, but actually in the end it turned out to be around $21 (without tip). As we were enjoying ourselves, they took youtube video requests and even handed us a little bucket and tube to blow smoke bubbles. The hookah itself was the best I've had so far. They didn't rush us out when they closed which was nice. The prices for a piece weren't bad at all. I might actually go back later in the summer to buy one there. Who knows. Hands down the best place to go for all your hookah needs. I went here a lot when it use to be a hookah bar and it was the most chill atmosphere I've found, definitely the best hookah bar I've experienced. Man oh man... Sunshine Coast is the place to HOOKAH.. and also a place to kick back, listen and watch sick music and videos... and just have a good time. They have so many different shisha flavors you always end up leaving wonderin which one your gonna smoke next time. The space is really chill, the art and smoke-ware are out of this world. ive been here several times... its fairly cheap (about 5 bucks per person). The place is small but cozy, with ok music and they let you drink but they will check I.D. It only gets 4 stars because i showed up one night and it was closed. there was a sighn out front that said it was open from 12am to 10pm. it was 7ish but it was closed anyway... fucking hippies! but a good place anyway defenently go if you like hooka read more

My hats off to this shop and the guys that run it. Woe is me. I botched it big the other night and knocked over the hookah and smashed the ceramic bowl. No big deal, right? There are tons of hookah and tobacco shops... WRONG! I bought my hookah almost 10 years ago and it came straight from Lebanon. In today's standardized world my bowl is a rare one as it fits inside the hookah's stem rather than sitting on top of it. I scoured every single tobacco shop up and down hiahgt from Divisidareo to Stanyan, no dice. I came in explained my problem and the guy found a glass bowl in the case that he said he'd blow torch and shrink to fit the narrow stem of my Hookah. After 20 minutes of fire and steel he presented me with a swank new glass bowl, to hell with ceramic. Just so you guys now, we fired it up tonight and viva la shisha! We are sitting pretty, caterpillar style smoking orange flavored Al fakier and drinking mint tea... all is well in the universe. If you need smoking accessories I don't think I'd go anywhere else... read more

I live next door... Literally walk out my door and there this place is. Unfortunately, I have NEVER had a good experience here. I have given it a second chance several times now. My roomate went in to get a grinder for a Christmas present and got such horrible customer service she walked out in the middle of a conversation. I feel the people that are behind the counter act "too cool" to give a damn if there customer's are helped unless you know them through a friend or somehow. I often walk buy on my way home and see people there after hours smoking out... So I have come to the conclusion this place is solely for the enjoyment of themselves and there friend (or young girls they are attempting to impress). I think this is a big mistake on there part. Especially in this economy. I feel this place wont last long with there poor attempt at customer service, especially to there own neighbors. I would MUCH rather support a business that was friendly and didn't try to make me feel like an ass anytime I had a question about blunt wraps. xoxoxox read more

Best hookah bar in Frisco! The hookah flavors and quality are unmatchable: everything is made by the hookah bar itself. They have awesome flavors like Skittles, Hypnotic, Chocolate Mint, etc. You could easily go 50 times and not try the same flavor twice. They light your coals with these badass blowtorches. The hookahs hit pretty well. Problems happen with hookahs, but they'll always make sure to fix it, and if necessary they'll give you a fresh hookah or bowl at no extras charge. Sometimes they'll do this just because they like you. The owner and pretty much everyone that works there is hella chill. He's seriously one of the nicest, coolest businessmen around. Don't be a douchebag though. This place has a 0 douchebag policy. Everyone there will happily shoot the shit with you or play your favorite jam. The place is decked out with a bunch of rad hiphop underground style stuff. The walls are graffed. There are skateboard decks and hookahs galore. And as if all this wasn't perfect enough, it's B.Y.O.B. so you and your crew can sit and have yourself a smoke and some brews all for like 10 bucks a person. They're also a great smoke shop with some sick pipes and bongs. I return to this place again and again religiously. If you have like 3 or more people, it breaks down to 5 bucks a person for a bowl of shisha. Seriously, you're going to hell if you don't go here. read more

Sunshine Coast has all your hookah supply's. I brought a 10 year old Hookah Brothers hookah in and was able to rebuild @ very little cost and make it hit better than it did when it was new. I was able to add a diffuser, replace all rubber gaskets and bought a new hose with a killer glass mouth piece. If you have any Hookah needs, Sunshine Coast is your one stop shop. this is the best place to go in the city for houkas and shisha!!! 1) the owner is so knowledgeable about houkas and shisha, and he will take the time to make sure you get the houka that's right for you. he'll then explain how to use it and help you pick out the best bowl and charcoals. he really cares about helping you get the houka that's right for you, even if it means recommending a less expensive one. 2) the owner makes his own shisha (tobacco), and it is amazing. the selection is staggering, the cost is reasonable, and the flavor is the best i've ever tried. you need to go here. even though the store is located in the haight, which can be a bit cheesy, this guy is really an afficionado who knows his stuff and loves sharing his knowledge with you. read more

I'm not much for writing reviews but every once in a while you have to take the time and give much deserved credit to folks like Jason who truly care about customer service. Long story short. I came in looking for a piece for concentrates and rather pushing something pricey( and unnecessary for my case) that he had in stock; Jason found a more cost effective solution and blew a customized glass tube for my melts for free! I walked out of Sunshine Coast with the ashcatcher that i wanted, the customized piece from Jason, and big fat smile on my face. The quality of service from Sunshine IS second to none.
