Golan recently came out to do a free foundation inspection of my recently purchased house. I was worried that I would get a bad report with a huge estimate because my house is 70 years old. He did let me know about one crack but he assured that it was only a hairline crack that I wouldn't have to worry about it. This review is for the inspection process. Our home is 100 years old and in the two years of owning it I have had a lot of repairs and met with even more companies. Sunshine really stands out in the inspection process. First of all, I really appreciated the promptness and flexibility of the appointment options for the inspection. Our inspector, Golan, was the best in every way. Most companies either blow you off if they don't think the job will be expensive enough or if the address isn't in a certain area. I appreciated being treated like my business matters. Next, it was obvious Golan knows what he is doing. He arrives with the right tools, takes measurements, personally inspects every area and shows you clear photos. NO contractor has ever provided us with the kind of detailed information he provided. Additionally, it immediately became obvious that no other contractor, including the one who did previous work on our foundation, knew what they were doing. Right away he noticed the problems and provided clear explanations on how to fix those problems correctly. He took the time to explain very clearly what is necessary for the foundation to be stable and, even for myself, I feel I now have an understanding which I did not have before about foundations. Sunshine Foundation Repairs is the most efficiently run company I have ever dealt with. I needed a slab demo underneath the raised floor. I have tenants and they were not required to move out of the home. However, they were going on vacation. While they were gone, Sunshine completed the work in a couple of days. They cleaned up and hauled away the debris before the tenants returned. Then they did a brace and bolt retrofit. What a wonderful day to meet the most amazing and knowledgeable foundation repair expert today. Sunshine Foundation Repair company is very professional and courteous from the get go. I spoke with Diane over the phone after her response to my yelp inquiry. She booked me at once for the following day for a free inspection. The foundation expert assigned was Solomon. He came 1/2 hour before the appointment after asking me if i can see him earlier. He was the first one to notice the slight difference in my house levels in the front areas of the house which was built in the late 50s. He spent a considerable amount of time checking the front exterior cracks on the stucco. He was very honest in his assessment. Solomon concluded that cracks on the exterior walls are stucco problem. He added that the water drainage also affected the stucco because of the sprinklers near the walls. He even checked the heads of the sprinklers to make sure the water won't get into the stucco. I was so relieved and very thankful for the Lord sending me a very honest, knowledgeable, thorough, courteous and professional inspector. I cannot thank Solomon enough other than ask him to inspect for a fee once my son finds an affordable home hopefully this year. I had Sunshine Foundation Repair come to check out my home as I thought I might have some issues. We have a raised foundation and our home was built in 1940. All communications with the office were prompt and super clear. Our tech was Lee and he was right on time. He was efficient, cool and informative. He check led the inside of the house to make sure it was level and then went under the house to inspect. He was honest and told me we didn't have any issues that warranted work which was really cool of him.
