I have been here many times, and will say my favorite thing is Letter E, fried eggs, fries, and french toast. It might by favorite breakfast in Weehawken and Union City. They season everything so you don't have to add salt and pepper. Just eat the way they prepare it. I like to have that with their coffee, which is done very well. They add a decent amount of milk, and they get out the natural sugars of the milk, so the coffee doesn't really need extra sugar. They also have a multitude of other things here, it's amazing how much they churn out in that space.

First time having snow ice and now I am a bit obsessed. I don't know how I ever lived without snow ice and I am kind of glad Sunshine Ice is a little of a drive for me to get to, because I'd be having snow ice twice a day if I lived walking distance. I had the small size (16oz) of mango snow ice, which comes with mango boba, basil seeds, cornflakes, and condensed milk. The mango snow ice base was so light and flavorful. All of the toppings worked well together and I particularly liked the texture contrast the cornflakes added. I have learned from my first visit and now only order the large size (22 oz) because even though it is huge, the ice cream is light and fluffy so you don't get too full. I also tried the watermelon slush which was pretty good too.

This place has been consistent since day 1 - whether you order tea, a slushy, snow ice, breakfast, or a snack, you can always count on a fresh and delicious order. My go-to choice is the fruit slushy: mango, passion fruit or watermelon! The owner is so sweet and remembers loyal customers.. looking forward to coming back and trying new additions on the menu.

Pretty good. Fresh fruit and not too sweet. The snow ice is finer than traditional shaved ice. This more like a Taiwanese snow dessert than a Hawaiian shaved ice. The small size is ample but with tax and tip, each one is about $10. If you're in Weehawken and looking for a cute dessert place at the end of a heavy Korean barbecue dinner, check this place out.

Sunshine Ice is awesome!!! Fresh and delicious! I'm so glad this wonderful little place is so close to my home. They deliver, but you should still go into the store because the friendliness is unparalleled. We usually get a banana milkshake with boba for my hubbs, a mango smoothie with boba for me and Remi sometimes shares ours or gets his own. They know exactly what we like to get every time we go in. It's family run and a few of them are always there working on school work or something. It feels really nice, like you're in someone's home, but that home is a cute and bright bubble tea store! I hope more people keep coming here and also realize how amazing it is. Park avenue needs more cute, delicious and family run places. Let's turn Weehawken around, together! And enjoy some boba while we do!

Cute little spot with different kinds of deserts. I got the snow ice which tasted really sweet and melts in your mouth. I also tried the honey toast which paired great with the fruits. Kinda basic but cheap in price and satisfying. read more

If you love sweet iced drinks, give this place a try. They offer boba/bubble tea, fresh-fruit smoothies, shaken iced teas, flavored coffee drinks, milk shakes, etc. From the three times I have been there, I can vouch for their iced milk tea with boba and the mango milk shake. They do make the iced boba milk tea a little on the sweeter side, but just ask them for 50% instead if you want less sweet. And their mango milk shake is not too sweet and made with real mango pieces. I absolutely love their mango milk shake! I think this place is probably specially appealing in the summer with their iced drinks and fresh fruit shakes! read more

Great ice! What an awesome treat after our big dinner. We trekked far to come here and we were not disappointed. We ordered 4 items, 2 snow ice (party fruit and mango) with bubble tea and strawberry smoothie. Everything was excellent especially the snow ice. We're from Taiwan and often eat ice at NYC, at Flushing and Korean town. The ice here is superb, and price is so reasonable. I only wish we live closer so I can come here often... Parking around here is very challenging. We were not able to find parking therefore had to take out the drinks and ice ;( read more

There is a serious lack of boba places in this area of town, so when I spotted it across the street from our laundromat, we decided to check it out. We sure are glad we did. My son and I make it a weekly destination while we wait for our laundry to finish, enjoying boba drinks in a friendly and lovely looking environment. The staff is beyond friendly, and the drinks are delicious. We haven't tried the sandwiches yet, but they look yummy and adorable. Check this place out and tell me you didn't fall in love. read more

This place is breakfast heaven! Small place but delicious dishes to choose from i had the waffles with bananas and to add to that a scoop of ice cream on top! The employees were great however they need to buy a coffee machine, whats breakfast without coffee. They have a great selection of shakes and bubble teas. read more

I enjoyed their mango snow ice, the texture really is like snow! However I don't know why they added all the toppings under the sun on it. Would of just preferred to eat the mango fruit on it and enjoying the taste of the ice. I don't need sprinkles, corn flakes, bursting bubbles, almonds or anything else. It's just too much and takes away from the taste. Also had their iced green tea with lychee jelly. Way too sweet. Had to add my own brew of jasmine tea to it when I got home. Found a newly opened dessert cafe in Weehawken. They use fresh fruit to make their smoothies which you can instantly taste the difference. Best thing about this place they sell true asian style Snowflake Ice! If you've ever had snow ice in Taiwan, China, South East Asia this place will not disappoint. They are still setting up their full menu but I will definitely be back to try their other desserts. read more

Love this clean delicious spot! Came here last weekend and tried the blueberry slushy, and the mixed fruit shaved ice thing. Both...delicious!! Can't wait to be back...they are pretty sweet, so you have to be in the mood. They also have food as well. They service was very friendly, and when I realized I ordered a large slushy but received the small, the woman was very nice and made a fresh one and added extra boba! This was my first time visiting Sunshine Ice and I must say that this place was a wonderful experience. The inside is bright and inviting to walk into and they have a cute little seating area outside should you want to sit in the fresh air. I ordered the green milk tea with tapioca and the flavor was very pleasant and refreshing, especially on a hot day like it was today. I took the kids with me and everyone enjoyed their drinks. They were tasty and fresh tasting! They disappeared in minutes! I highly recommend this cute little place to bring your friends, family and kids. You will not be disappointed. Delicious food and great service. On the outside, Sunshine Ice is seemingly a place with only bubble tea and desserts, however, their menu surprises you with all-day breakfast, soup, and sandwich options. I've been here twice and had equally great experiences. My first time going, my girlfriend and I got Acai and Dragonfruit bowls, which were refreshing and loaded with fruits and granola. The second time around, I decided to try the udon soup with meat, which reminded me of a home-cooked meal. My girlfriend tried the dairy-free bubble tea, which can be hard to find, and is in love with it. Although we've only taken to-go meals, the inside would be great for a small meal or for studying/working sessions. Highly recommend if you are around Weehawken! read more

I love this place. All of the staff are so welcoming and helpful. I've been here a couple of times already and they have not disappointed me once. I had tried their mango snow ice. It had freshly sliced mangoes which was quite refreshing and the shaved ice had a soft texture. I didn't quite like the addition of cornflakes as toppings. This was my first time here, and I left happy knowing I can come back tomorrow. We had the honey bread with banana, turkey and cheese sandwich, and orange/carrot juice. Everything was delicious, ingredients seem of good quality, and prompt. The restaurant was clean, bright, and inviting. Meh. I wasn't impressed. Went in for a bubble tea, only to find out they charge an extra $0.60 for the bubbles - which makes a small tea more expensive than those in the city. I also waited about 15 minutes for my drink. read more

Fluffy, light and smooth is Sunshine's Snow Ice. Inspired by the local culture of Taiwan's icy treats, we make our own layers of flavored ice with real fruit and fruit juice bases mixed with milk. Each low calorie ice block is hand made and then shaved into an aesthetically pleasing and delicious dessert. Tastes like frozen yogurt or ice cream but so soft that it melts like cotton candy. Finding genuinely good black cold brew in this city is harder than it should be, and this one hit the spot so perfectly I made a second solo trip before sundown. The chocolate and almond croissant was delicate, flaky, and exactly what a croissant should be. The shop itself is small, no indoor seating, but two benches out front! I just ordered their corn nuggets, organic chicken nuggets and hash browns because I'm a simple person this was just delightful. Ordered via GrubHub. The corn nuggets were so flavorful, still very and perfect amount. I ordered two thinking they weren't going to put enough nuggets but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw 8 pieces of corn nuggets. Trust me they are very filling. The hash browns were also very delicious. A bit greasy but who cares, they're hash browns. The organic chicken nuggets with a bit of ketchup on the side really hit the spot. I am definitely going to order again. I am excited to try their main dishes and desserts. I'm in New Jersey for vacation and wanted some shaved ice so we walked over to this place. I got the Mango Snow Ice and originally I didn't think I would enjoy all the things they put on it (corn flakes, mango chunks, mango syrup, seeds, etc) especially considering I enjoy things plain but I loved all of it. Everything went well, especially the cereal which I was skeptical about. It was a super nice and light treat and melts in your mouth just like cotton candy. It's the perfect thing if you want something sweet but not too heavy. I would definitely recommend making a stop here if it's not out of the way. read more

The icies and boba here are delicious! The Snow ices are the best ones I've had in a while. The service is great and the servers are nice people. Although the wait is a bit long, they make bobas and snow ices from scratch. Me and my friends find this place a frequent stop for meetups and just chatting. They also have wifi there, so you can be on your phone while waiting. This local place can beat most quick boba chains. You HAVE to give it a try! read more
