My husband and I like to go there for their homemade soup sometimes. Lately though, we've noticed the soups have a sweet aftertaste. We had the split pea one day and it would have been excellent if it wasn't for the sweetness. Also, we had the Garbanzo Ginger Soup, and it too was way too sweet as well. I don't understand what could make Split Pea Soup so sweet. It's a nice little place where you can sit at a table and relax. I'm wondering what he puts in his soup to make it so sweet. Rude service, racial profiling and MAJOR HEALTH HAZARD! No masks/minimal coverage from workers and many customers came in without any masks on and the workers still served them without saying anything. Made our sandwiches without washing hands after using the register and NO GLOVES were used. This is always a health hazard but especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. I ordered a tuna wrap, it was very good and a great portion size. I added Avacado to my wrap and they loaded it up pretty well. Came with a small handful of some flax style tortilla chips. They have all the specialty items I love and need. Things I can't find at big supermarkets, organic bulk items, herbs and supplements to support health, treats, essential oils, organic produce, local fresh eggs, chipotle veganaise (a favorite of mine, always in stock). I bought an essential oil diffuser from them too. And their salad bar and smoothies are wonderful. The thing that really keeps me coming back is the rewards program. I get points every time I bring in my canvas bag, and for every purchase. I earned $25 to spend there just from buying the normal things I need! The staff is always amazingly attentive while still being low key, and there is an air of respect and acknowledgement among the small isles. One thing that really makes them stand out is that the staff is trained to be aware of the supplements and herbs and what they are helpful for, so that they can assist customers who come in needing help finding things for specific ailments.
