I purchased my home just about a year ago I've never been a pool owner and I was completely lost owning my first pool I went ahead and hired a company and paid them to maintain my pool weekly it was never clear totally unsatisfied and it was a lot of money so I finally got fed up and I brought a sample of water to sunshine pool they were beyond nice they gave us all the advice and the chemicals that we needed under $100 and in less than 24 hours our pool went from mountain dew green to almost clear but it's only been 24 hours!! Every single time I go to Sunshine Pool I am greeted with with a smile and a solution. I am admittingly not the savviest pool owner - so every piece of advice, recommendation or information I have received has been spot on and made me a better pool owner. It doesn't matter if I'm buying a box of shock, an entire sand filter or the smallest of screw replacements, each time I learn something and am treated with kindness and care. Each visit they have explained to me what is going on with my pool, educated me on chemicals and balance, and even gone the extra mile for a small screw replacement piecing together exactly what I needed in order to get my pool up and running for the season. I am spoiled since they are right down the street, but they are worth the drive if your a bit further away. They tell you often they are a "family" business however, they fail to mention they are a family of gypsies. They will do whatever they can to up-charge you or put add-on costs to whatever work you are having done. We needed help during July with an issue we were having. The scope of work was relatively small however, they recommended a lot of unnecessary work to ensure it was a large job. When I pointed out the additional work was not needed they were happy to come out at $325 an hour for the first hour and $200 each hour after ( Note my Norwell Porsch Mechanic charges ~$130 per hour). Our pool closing bill was over $800 and it took them one hour. Year end chemicals were ~100% over cost and I had a handful of unnecessary "add on" to replace items that I already had. Earlier in spring/summer our salt regulator died and they quoted me almost $700 over what I purchased it from a competitor less than 3 miles away. And let's talk about the $25 dollars I paid for a 40lb bag of salt that was $9.99 down the street. My guess is they are trying to support a large clan of gypsies with a business that is too small. I have had several pool services over the years and most have been abysmal. We have an above ground pool and that is usually not a priority for pool companies. Sunshine pool treated me as a valued customer from the first phone call. They installed a new filter and suggested PVC tubing. All was installed perfectly. When I had questions about the operation they were incredibly helpful. Best service and friendly staff. Heather especially was exceptional. read more

I took my pool water in and from that moment on- the people here have been so helpful. They emailed me back and forth with solutions and even facetimed me and walked me through how to backwash my filter. One of the ladies (kerri) was texting me way past the time she was working I am sure to make sure my chlorine levels were ok. I will definitely use them for all my pool needs. Can't say enough good things about this company. The best pool company I have had. They opened my pool this year and it was crystal clear. Unfortunately, I had a problem with bugs under the liner creating holes and the water was leaking. Sunshine came and in 2 days I had a beautiful new liner perfectly installed. Not one wrinkle. They also had affiliation with an exterminator to treat the ground and a water company to fill the pool. They coordinated everything and it went seamlessly. The guys they hire and train themselves are hard working perfectionists and great guys. It is a family owned company. If you live on the South Shore, don't even think about using anyone else. read more

Sunshine Pool in Pembroke, Mass is only interested in your money. Bought a brand new expensive liner that is terrible, wrinkling and discoloring and shortly after purchase there was a hole that Jim Stone had to fix. I should of demanded a new liner. Who installs a brand new liner with a hole?!! Also purchased a filter from them and heater. I used another pool company to open my pool this year and when I had a problem with my new filter Sunshine installed I called them and they refused to come because we didn't use them to open our pool this year. It wasn't enough that they sucked over 20K from us. The lady in the store is rude and will try to suck every penny out of you! Spent over 20K with them and this is how they treat you! Don't they realize there are a million pool places you can choose from?!! DON'T CHOOSE THEM! I recommend Coastal Pool a minute down the street from Sunshine. I am a first time pool owner. We moved into a home with an inground pool in the fall. The previous home owner left us the business card for the pool company he had used previously. When we wanted to open the pool a couple of weeks ago I gave them a call and they came to open it. Unfortunately I was not home to have them explain the ins and outs of pool ownership. I didn't know how to add chlorine, vacuum the pool, how to test the water, or how to use the pump. I tried contacting the original company to ask some questions 3 times over about a week, leaving a message each time. After not getting a response and our pool turning green by that point I looked for a new company. I called Sunshine Pools and the woman I spoke to on the phone was great. She told me to take pictures of my pool and equipment and then to come into their store so someone could walk me through everything I needed to know. I went to the store the next morning and had a wonderful experience. The woman who helped me spent 45 minutes going over any questions I had. She explained and showed me how to use my equipment, tested my water sample, and she sold me all of the supplies and chemicals I needed to get my pool back on track. She never once made me fee silly for having no idea what I was doing! This company is fantastic and I would very highly recommend them. I will be a loyal customer from now on!! read more
