I couldn't be happier with the service they provided. My old double-pane slider was difficult to open and close for years. I was concerned that it might need to be replaced. Sunshine came out and that just to replace the glass in the door would cost me over $1200, let alone a total replacement. I really appreciated their honesty. They said it only needed a repair and replaced the rollers. Now, it opens smooth as silk for about the quarter of the cost of just the glass replacement. Sebastian showed up on time to all appointments and responded quickly. However, everything else about this company was a disappointment. The price was way higher than I expected to pay. For $600 he just replaced some ball bearing tandem rollers and added a track cover. For some reason I thought he was replacing the track. Perhaps I misunderstood. He claimed we'd be able to open the door with one finger when he was done. It was easier to move but not like he made it out to be. I asked him if he could replace the screen door and he said it would be over $300. I opted not to. I chose him to work on my parents door since he was closest to their house and had good reviews. I remember asking him to clean the glass and make everything look nice. He agreed. When I checked on the work after he was done the glass was not clean. He says later that he doesn't do that. Shop around his rates are just too high. He said replacing my mom's 6ft sliding door was gonna be $2400! Outrageous. read more

Terrible, Sabastin was agumeniive and totally unprepared to do the work. We called him to replace the weather stripping on our sliding glass door. In addition to the weather stripping he said we needed to we replace the rollers on our sliding door.. my wife said sure why not. My wife went to check on him. He had the door off and had already replaced the rollers and then told us he did not have the right size weather stripping and would have to order it and return. My wife and I were upset he did not tell us this before he replaced the rollers and we where going on vacation so we would have to wait for 2 weeks before he could come back. Now he expected to get paid in full and in cash!. He replaced the rollers and put the door back on when we noticed 3 spots on our door where the window tinting came off... He was totally rude and very aggressive and called us liars. He said he didn't do it and was going on and on for 10 minutes how god can strike him down if he was lying I walked away and let my wife deal with this crazy guy... we paid him in cash because he doesn't take credit cards.. and then tells us he has to order the weather stripping and will come back the next week... The door was opening and closing very nicely and when he came back he even showed me how well the door opened and closed. Then he took the door off and placed it on his work benchs. I asked him to be "Please be careful. Because the last time he managed to rub it off in a few small spots. Sebastian started to get very agitated and ask me to show him where on the door and we both saw 2-3 more place the he just rubbed off... He called me a liar once again and I just looked at him while I was fuming and he just ranted for 10 minutes or so... I had 2 choices 1- throw him out or, 2- let him finish and get out.. I picked number 2 and that was a big mistake.. he finished putting on the weather stripping and put the door back on and showed me how smoothly the door was sliding... I has a telephone call I had to take and when I got off the phone he shows me that the "tract" was broken and the door wouldn't closed. He then tells me the tract just broke but he didn't do it... I said it was working 5 minutes ago and now it is broken. He said he did not break and for $175 he would fix it. I told him to leave at that point. Now we have to get someone else to fix the track! Saw the great reviews and left a message. Sebastian called back and we set a date at my Moms place in Escondido. The door was very old and did not slide well at all. He disassembled both big doors, cleaned all tracks, added double roller tracks and reassembled the door. He saw the lock was broken and the doors would bind at the center. He replaced the lock and spent about an hour discovering some extra silicone installation that was causing the binding problem. He would not accept a marginal job and did the whole list to correct the problems. He was personable and my mom played the piano for him for entertainment! What a fine fellow to do business with. Sebastian did an amazing job at repairing our family room sliding glass door at a very reasonable price. Our contractor told us several years ago that the door was old ( 28 years), and parts could not be acquired to repair the door, which was sliding very poorly. I am small and could only push the door open with moderate effort. I was told to call Sebastian at Sunshine Sliding Door (by a screen company) to have him evaluate the door for repair before I invested in a new door. Since a new door (oversized in height) would very costly to replace, I finally decided to try Sebastian first. He evaluated, ordered parts for the track, returned one week later, took the door completely off, and fully restored the track. You can now open it, just give it a small push, and it slides better than a new door!!!! Sebastian is great! He came out to give us a free estimate about replacing the bottom track on the sliding glass door. I left him a message and he called me back in about 10 minutes and was able to accommodate my request as to when to come for the estimate. He came out a few days later, on time, very pleasant and professional, and provided the estimate -- less than $1,000 to replace the track on my over-sized sliding glass door that is about 41 years old. I paid him about half as a deposit, and we scheduled for him to come back in about two weeks (since he had to order the track and wait for it to come in). He arrived on time, completed the job in about six hours as estimated, and as a bonus, he was not at all fazed or concerned about my two 90-pound dogs! And I paid him with a check, no issues there. Very nice guy, definitely knows what he is doing, and saved me a ton of money in that I didn't have to replace the whole door. The door glides so easily now on the new track, it almost moves itself.
