This is the second time I've gotten a spray tan at this location. The first time, the machine turned off halfway through. Today, it barely blew any air on me leaving my tan dripping off of me and smearing everywhere. The start button also literally fell off the machine. The gal up front was very kind and gave me points back, but this machine is old and just needs to get replaced. I've had spray tans at other locations and I've never had an experience like this. read more

Sunsup offers unlimited tanning in the VIP bed for less than $30 a month! Haven't found a better deal anywhere else. Plus they have monthly specials to access additional services or upgrades. Total scam if you want to get out of a membership here. They require you to come in to the office to do it. I went one time a year ago and have been being charged ever since not realizing it. I left them a voicemail asking to be cancelled 2 months ago which they ignored and never called back. I finally reached someone there and now they're telling me I have to come in to do the cancellation process even though I moved to the east coast. Oh, and no correspondence from them over the last year, probably because that would have alerted me to the fact I was paying for something I wasn't using. Very underhanded way of dealing with customers and complete lack of service. read more

This place is amazing the staff is so welcoming! I love the super bronze bed! You hop in for 12 minutes and come out looking like you went to mexico!! Do not enter into a contract with this company. Please be warned. I cancelled my account after my vacation and the auto payments have remained. I called and explained that I cancelled, they said I had to call the corporate office. The hours are 8-2pm. I called the first time at around 11 and they did not answer. I left a message and never heard back. I called again at 8:01 weeks later and they did not answer. I left a message and they have not called back. Easy to enroll very difficult to cancel. Do not make the mistake as I did. read more

Very poor experience with the corporate staff. I purchased an LED Lipo package for $250 and later was advised by a doctor that because of a personal medical issue, this would not be a helpful procedure for me. I called SunsUp corporate and asked to have it refunded and they refused, stating they only give refunds within 3 days of the sale. The staff who sold me this package of course never mentioned that fact. I was happily paying for my monthly tanning package and enjoying their facilities, which was more revenue per year than the refund on the $250 LED Lipo package; but Corporate instead chose to lose my business permanently over $250. Keeping a steady repeat customer would be a wiser customer service policy. There are tanning salons all over town, and I can take my business elsewhere. read more

SCAMMERS! THEY WILL SAY ANYTHING TO GET YOU TO BUY SOMETHING (they are paid on commission) THEN YOU WILL FIND OUT YOU HAVE LATE FEES AND DUES FOR MONTHS OF TANNING YOU DIDN'T KNOW THAT YOU HAD! READ THE CONTRACT! I informed the sales associate, Iran, that I was not interested in a membership, just a single tan. After my single tan, the associate held onto my credit card for 25+ minutes while attempting to sell me lotion and tanning packages. I told him I was not interested. After another 15 minutes, he convinced me to purchase a prorated ONE MONTH OF TANNING. The sales associate falsely communicated to me that I would only be responsible for just the prorated one month of tanning, which I had paid for at that time. However, my contract was to last several plus months, until the account was "cancelled in writing and in person." I was unaware I was still a member of the tanning center after one month and did not use any of the tanning services. I recently learned that I owe money for several months of tanning that I was unaware that I had and late fees. BTW corporate supports this behavior. Dear Sunsup Tanning Associates and Corporate, GET AN HONEST JOB LIKE THE REST OF US! STOP PREYING ON PEOPLE! read more

I am so impressed with excellent Management and staff at SunsUp. I have been a member for a few years now and I've recently purchased the Body Sculpting and Fit wrap treatments I've lost over 6 inches total. And I feel and look Great. TheOak Grove location even had a TV so you can watch Netflix while you detox and loose inches - My pants don't even fit anymore and it's been a few months since my first treatment and it's staying off I will be buying more- At age 61 it sure ain't easy to loose inches alone so I very much recommend using the body sculpting at SunsUp it will change your life. read more

I would love to know why the bad reviews of this place aren't factored in...anyway, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I was told multiple time the bulbs at the West Linn salon WERE changed, but for some reason the gross hairs are STILL stuck under the glass. When I pointed that out the girl working there acted like I was insane. This is the same girl who I over heard calling me a bitch while I was lotioning up and getting in the tanning bed. The girls working here are rude and pushy, I took a friend to spray tan (who never had before and was quite white) and while I was tanning they talked her into a level 3 spray tan...needless to say she came out looking like a pumpkin. Today I was told they froze my account because of a lotion I had in my bag...did they tell me anything before hand or talk to me? No, just froze my account and told me to contact cooperate. This place is a joke! I wouldn't even give it one star but I had to in order to rate it. read more

After 4 months of mediocre service, broken beds and mischarges, I am leaving Sunsup and happily paying slightly more money to tan at Pacific Beach. My frustrations with Sunsup were not limited to a single store, as that I tried multiple franchise locations in attempt to find a better tanning experience. I began tanning elsewhere besides my home store after their only Level 2 bed was broken for several consecutive visits. A few months later when I returned I was assured it had been fixed, only to find that the facial tanning lamps definitely WERE still broken - after I had disrobed and moisturized. When I exited the bed to speak with the girl at the counter, she very snottily told me that "other people didn't have a problem with it" and had been using the bed regularly. Sorry that I like more than 1/2 of my face to tan, and that it freaks me out when bulbs are emitting sparks and charges 3 inches from my face! At the Barbur Blvd. location, I was told they were having a "buy one get one free" special, where I got two upgrades for the price of one. I used one that day, and tried to use the second later that week at the Tanasbourne location - only to be told that I "misunderstood" the promotion, and would have needed to spend $40 instead of $25 to get the second upgrade for "free." AND because they refused to honor my purchase, I was unable to tan at that location at all because they only had the upgrade bed that I wasn't eligible for, and a level 1 bed that was broken (noticing a pattern yet?) The final straw was when I tried to buy a bottle of lotion that I had purchased a sample of before tanning - the girl working told me that if I purchase the lotion that day she'd deduct the the cost of the sample packet. But when she rang me up, she forgot to give the discount; I asked if she could just credit my account the difference, but she instead called corporate where they claimed to "void" the transaction, which still hasn't come off of my account - so essentially I was charged $62 for a product I never received. In addition to the countless times I've been given a dirty bed and the false information provided by employees, (one tried to tell me that "Tanique" lotion was made by Clinique cosmetics - as a former account manager for the Estee Lauder corporation, I can tell you that is absolutely, unequivocally FALSE), I'm super over it and happy to pay slightly more money for a clean, friendly, NOT FULL OF BROKEN TANNING BEDS environment. read more

I love these guys! I have been with them for over 8 years now. If there is ever a problem with anything.. Corporate always fixes it and makes things right. I really enjoyed one year doing the sunsup tour. Its when you got incentives for touring other locations. Thank you sunsup. You are the best. I tried tanning in Astoria so ce I was there and it was gloomy. I paid after waiting for the lady to get off her personal call for 10 mins..got to the room...got my lotion on..layer down..not even 2 mins I to my 15 min session I got out. I felt I betrayed sunsup.
