I know that a lot of Vietnamese repair shops have bad reputations for cheating their customer, Super 1 is definitely not one of them. Trust me, I'm Vietnamese. My parents don't trust those places and I've learned from personal experience. You can't accuse me of being racist when I'm Vietnamese myself. Trust me, Asians distrust each other :P Those bad reputations are often deserved, but I can tell you from personal experience that Super One and it's amazing owner, Danny, is far and beyond the best experience at a body shop I've ever had. I'm a repeat customer and a very pleased one. His prices are unbeatable. He is honest to a fault. He will not keep you waiting unnecessarily. I've been to freaking Firestone. I've been to freaking Sears. What do you get there? A really nice waiting area, free coffee and tea sometimes, and a 3 hour wait while they fail to deliver on a freaking oil change, of all things. You get a bunch of useless employees standing around twiddling their thumbs while being unable to explain to you why your car's not done on time. That's what I've always gotten at those fancy pants places. Not so with Danny. My car is ready when he says it'll be. I'm in and out within 10 minutes. He'll call a rental place for you. He'll take care of everything (even placed my key back onto my keychain because I didn't want to chip my manicure...true story). He doesn't just fix your engine or frame, he'll clean everything. I'm a stereotypical female in that my car is disgusting. Spilled coffee everywhere. Trash in every corner. A Petri dish is less infested. By the time Danny finished with my car, you could have eaten off the interior. He is thorough through and through. There was no need for him to do all that. The fact that he went above and beyond just fixing the exterior was something I appreciated. It's a dinky, dark place. There's a dog named Thunder there that I constantly have to shoo away because he's far too friendly and I'm not a dog person. It's not a fancy little shop at all. If you want free wifi, forget it, but remember, you're not gonna be there long enough to need it. No, it's a bare bones kind of body shop, but that's just fine, because it's the service and the quality that matters, and Danny is number one in my mind whenever I need my car fixed. Man I can't tell you how much Danny the owner here helped me out!!! I got into a car accident which was my fault and my insurance deductible was 1k. So I obviously didn't want to go thru insurance so my premium wouldn't sky rocket up . I hit a bunch of body shops for estimates and all of them were trying to charge me 3,500 and up. When I went to super 1 Danny charged me a great price . And I just got my car back and it looks brand new again. He did such a good job on it!! Let's face it, finding a trustworthy and outstanding mechanic is like finding a four leaf clover. I have a 2007 Honda Civic and it has well over 180,000 miles on it. I spent the past year trying to keep my car maintained so that it would at least get me through finishing my graduate degree. During the past year, I went to two mechanics, one a dealership and the other also a trustworthy mechanic. My first trustworthy mechanic was good but he wasn't able to see or fix everything. The only thing great about the dealership was that they provided "free" car rental while they fixed my car however they would take their time and would offset the cost with the hefty bill. Afterwards, either there would still be issues with the car and I would have to come back to get the car fixed again. My patience and my wallet were running dry and even thought that I might have to throw in the towel and get a new car. Thankfully, my friend referred me to Danny Tran at Super 1 Auto Body. After the vicious cycle I experienced with the dealership and the unresolved repairs with my previous mechanic, I was skeptical of Danny. However, I'm so glad that my skepticism were proven wrong. I rarely say this about any mechanic but Danny Tran is hands down a trustworthy and outstanding mechanic! I'm so glad to have found the four leaf clover mechanic! Within the first 5 minutes of checking the engine, he immediately spotted issues the car was having and even knew what the others did and did not do. He provided me with the diagnose and transparently showed me the cost of the parts off of his auto parts system. He really took care of my car and it runs so smoothly now, and like new. He was also able to repair my center rear brake lights when two other mechanics could not because it is located in a complex spot. Turns out, he figured out that there was a short fuse wiring and that I didn't need to replace the entire light system as it would have cost me over $100. Not only did he saved me money but he saved the day by saving me from perhaps a rear end accident and also my life! Satisfied with the repair he did for my car, I went back and got an old bumper damage fixed by him and my car looks like new again. Having him as my new mechanic, I absolutely know that my car is in good hands and can last me way after I finish my graduate degree. Went and seen Danny a few years ago. Car wouldnt start, brakes shot, and a few other things. He was honest and fixed them in a good amount of time. Very reasonable price. Im a single parent and money is so tight. I was referred by Chely who is god sent herself. Well the kicker is that my car would stop running whenever I stopped. Well my daughter and I were out and about and everytime I stopped at a light it would turn off. I was broke and panicked! I immediately called Danny and he told me to bring it in. First time I met Danny was in 2002 when a tow truck driver referred me to him after an accident. All I remember from the process is dropping my car off at Super 1 Auto Body and picking it up. It felt like Danny single handedly took care of everything for me and left my car looking immaculate. Since then I've never gone to anyone else. Super 1 Auto Body handles all problems on all cars that belong to family, friends and co-workers. If anyone asks me to recommend a mechanic, I never hesitate to send them to Danny. His prices are highly competetive and he does excellent work. He does all maintenance and repairs on my 2002 Honda Civic Si hatchback using only original Honda parts and, for a twelve year old car, it is still highly reliable. I never write Yelp reviews, but I decided to write one today for Danny since he's been helping me out a lot for the past twelve years and I'm actually going again to see him tomorrow for additional work. Decided to Google his business hours and came across his "5 Star Yelp Rating," so I figured I owe him 5 stars too. Super One Auto, and Danny specifically have been taking care of my families cars for years. I will start this review by saying straight up, Danny not only is the best mechanic in Orange County, but one of the fairest men I have ever met. My dad worked for Homeland Security and met Danny because Danny worked on all of their fleet vehicles. That right there should tell you something about what he does, as I don't think the government would take their vehicles to someone who rips them off/does crappy work. Since my dad started taking his personal car to Super One Auto, Danny has become a close family friend of ours. As a family, we have gotten many people we know to take their cars here as well. A friend recommended me to Danny at Super 1 Auto after I showed him a picture of my messed up bumper, a result of Lexus ordering me the wrong color touch-up paint.
