Amazing service great suggestions on my wet burrito Habanero Hot sauce with whole beans/sour cream/carne asada!!!

This place is awesome!!! The service is always fantastic and the food is always fresh and delicious. The ceviche with mayo is absolutely fire. They have all sorts of beers and other drinks to enjoy while either stopping by for a quick lunch or a gathering with friends and family. Great vibes

Super A's is a Mexican restaurant located in Costa Mesa with a large parking lot. It has Taco Tuesday which includes $1.99 tacos all day along with $2.50 beer and $5 margaritas. I got the asada fries ($15.95) and the carne asada burrito ($12.95). The fries had guac and sour cream on the side but the fries could've been crispier. They were pretty soggy which made it hard to pick them up especially with the melted cheese. The burrito had a little cheese and onions but was mostly meat. This means it was on the smaller side. Note that both of these dishes normally come with beans so if you don't want them in your meal you should ask to remove them. They provide chips and salsa if you dine in as well as when you get takeout. The food came out fast and they accept card.

This place is a homey local Mexican restaurant. It's a little rundown and the margaritas are weak. But happy hour drink specials make up for it. Get beer, it's not watered down. The winner here are their massive wet burritos available with a good selection of fillings and sauces. The rice and beans are supporting members not stars. Service was sweet and attentive. A decent place if you are in the area.

Super A's serves the absolute best Chilaquiles in town. Plus their shrimp cocktail is phenomenal. I love family owned businesses with great food and great service.

Amazing place. Seen it a thousand times but never thought of stopping by. Don't let the outside fool you. Food inside is delicious

    Menudo
    John D.

If you are looking for Menudo this is 100% the place to be! Super A's only has Menudo available on Saturday and Sunday so plan accordingly. The Menudo portion is huge! You get a big bowl with all the fixings (dried chili, Mexican oregano, onions, lime, and cilantro) which is a must. The amount of meat is impressive. The bowl was filled with meat up until the very bottom so if you love tripe this is the one for you. The waitress told us it takes them almost a whole week to make this dish (from the cleaning, prep, and cooking of the soup). You can tell just by all this processing that it leads to the quality of the dish. Some places make shortcuts to making menudo which makes for a unclean tasting soup but this place preps it so well you do not get any of that. Whether you eat this for the cold weather or the day after a night of drinking, I highly recommend this place for their menudo alone!

We got seated about 15 minutes after the store opened. As I expected, the space was cozy and noisy, a little much for my mother, who is sensitive to ambient noise. The music was all Japanese pop music! I ordered the inaka soba. Our server helpfully advised me that it was conventional soba--rather than a broth, it came in a sweet-savory sauce. I never tried inaka soba before (not even in rural Japan), so I had to try it. The first surprise was the noodles. They were thinner than what I normally get, but clearly freshly made. They were chewy and hearty. Both my mom and I were surprised by the shiitake mushrooms because they were simmered in a sweet bath. I couldn't place the taste. Maybe mirin with less salt or soy sauce than usual? Overall, the mix of grated daikon, sesame seeds, finely shredded nori, dried bonito flakes, green onions, and egg was a nice classical Japanese mix of flavors, and the wasabi added a nice spike. As our server said, it was a sweet-savory sauce that wasn't too sweet. The experience was kind of like the mazemen that is trending right now. I wanted to mix it all while it was hot, and ended up eating it quickly before my spouse and mom finished their food. My mom kept commenting on how good the broth was. It was light, without the heavy soy sauce or sugar flavors that you find in some places. The udon noodles were first rate. Fresh and chewy. I could see why people were lining up outside for them. My mom got nabeyaki udon, which included chicken, egg, fish cake, and green onion. My spouse had sansai udon. The sansai tasted like it might have been gotten fresh from California, even though that is unlikely. I never had sansai like that in the US before. It turns out the noise was not a problem as we ate because we just chowed down silently, commenting on the food every now and then. It's not a place to linger over conversation with friends anyway, because they limit you to 90 minutes at your table. One big bonus for Meiji Seimen: parking is easy. Some minor things. I was a little disappointed that they wanted you to use your cell phone to look at the menu. The print on the phone was tiny, and I couldn't zoom in. It got slightly bigger when I rotated my phone, but then you see less of the menu at once. They did have old print menus on hand, which were easier to see. The space was very small, and because they were so busy the staff were always walking through with trays of food in the narrow space between tables. We are small people and don't need a walker, but I wonder how the experience might be for people who need more space to walk. And then there was the noise level. It's rare that I want to visit a place again right away, but I'm eager to try the other dishes Meiji Seimen has to offer!

The pairing of the rich mole sauce and sweet potato puree takes the dish to an entirely different level, complementing each other effortlessly. Baklava Cheesecake: A creative and delicious twist on a classic.
