Compared to the Mexican food from San Diego, Super Burrito is just okay. I got the California Burrito, and it was below average or about there. The meat was dry, and the only thing I liked were the fries. There wasn't much flavor. The dank wrap surpreme was a lot better, but I think it was just slightly better than Del Taco or Taco Bell. For the price we paid, I don't think the food was worth it. I acknowledge that this is New York and the Mexican food is going to taste different from San Diego or LA. So, maybe this is pretty good for people who want any Mexican food. Ambience-wise, it's great. Fun, retro vibe! read more

This would have been a no brainer five star if I had chosen to eat there as opposed to getting a take out. The dankwrap was soft by the time we ate it which defeats the purpose and a bit of a letdown. It was still delicious, just not as much as it would have been. To take this a step back, your mission style burrito meal does not have to come from chipotle anymore. This is the chipotle burrito's rebel twin who is bigger, fuller and has an entourage of equally disruptive friends like the dankwrap which is a wrap with a crispy taco shell inside. Some reviewers suggested getting a blend of chicken and shrimp in one, which I did. I don't recommend doing that because the texture of the chicken and shrimp is contrasting and didn't go together as well as it sounds. I also got a kids burrito which is a great option for picky kids. I personally wasn't a fan of the refried beans used in the wrap but my kid loved it so no complaints there. Overall it tasted great and the prices aren't crazy, so I will be back here soonish. Go get them! read more

Great new SF Mission-style burritos! We stopped by this past weekend after seeing it on social media and it did not disappoint. The place itself is very cute, nicely decorated, and retro style. There's a good amount of seating plus a bar area through the back door. We got the al pastor burrito with added guac and sour cream and the shrimp quesadilla. The burrito itself was delicious, but the meat was a little dry, so I would try a different protein next time. The shrimp quesadilla was great - very flavorful and with a generous amount of shrimp. Went late night here and enjoyed their vegan tacos (although if I am being honest I ordered a birria and a vegan one came instead). As someone who almost always prefers to have meat or some sort of protein in my food, I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't miss meat in my food and the flavors were great. Lot of lettuce stuffed in there which I appreciate. In the evening the back is a club? there are supposedly lot of djs but I would call it more of a bar vibe. This is as close to El Farolito as I've ever had in NY. As someone who lived in SF for years, I can't say I'm an expert but I certainly tried. When my SF native friend and I heard about this place we had to see for ourselves. We both ordered burritos and when they came out the weight of a baby we knew it would be good. We also ordered chips and salsa and while the salsa was delicious, it really wasn't needed. Both agreed this is the real deal and I can't wait to come back and try more. Both were good, but nothing I couldn't get back home in CA. The salsa, although tasty, didn't taste like it was homemade. We were not in a rush thank gawd, but I think our order took a fumble as we were second to order and about the 6th person to get our food. Newest Williamburg addition features SF Mission style burritos! Ordered two chicken burritos (super style with avocado + sour cream), chips & queso and salsa. We ordered for pickup and everything was ready for us when we arrived. The spot is cute, has a vintage vibe and there were already groups of friends sharing a bite. They forgot our chips but thankfully we had some at home. Queso is excellent, reminds me of a Tex-Mex style like you'd find in Austin.
