I was picking something up next door and decided to also get something here. I have been to one other Super Chicken in the past and the food was great. It wasn't busy here on a weekday late afternoon. I ordered two empanadas. They were just okay. The dough was more of a bread, but there was a lot of filling. I tried the Lomo Saltado and the horchata for carry-out and it was pretty disappointing. Their Lomo Saltado is beef, red onions, tomatoes, spring onions, and cilantro cooked in olive oil on a bed of fries and a side of rice, and the beef and veggies tasted pretty good, but the tomato pieces were huge and the bed of fries was more like a king-sized bed. There must've been only 4 or 5 pieces of beef on top of a LOT of fries. I also didn't like the rice as it tasted old and over-cooked. The green chunky sauce was delicious but they don't give enough and charge for extra. I hated the horchata. It had a huge layer of grainy nasty cinnamon syrup on the bottom and wouldn't mix even after I spent 15 straight minutes mixing it. I threw it away. I'll come back to try the chicken but I'm not expecting much. I think it's hard to attract and keep new customers if they're serving this kind of quality. The owner is extremely rude. I was walking in to see what they serve, but I also needed some napkins because of a spill that happen just before. When I walked in and asked for some napkins, the owner ignored me for a whole minute, even though she looked me straight into the eyes. Then, when she finally decided to hear me, she rolled her eyes and handed me the napkins. Honestly, that turned me away from buying anything after. So, as I started to walk away, she insulted me in Spanish. But, I'm pretty sure she didn't think I understood Spanish lol. if I could give 0 stars I would! absolutely worst place I've ever been, the food was so bland, and while they were preparing my food I watched a line cook touch the trash bag and then go right back to handling ready to eat food without changing gloves or washing her hands. the so called "manager" was the rudest person I've ever dealt with in my life. she refused to give me my food because I wouldn't show her my phone to prove to her it was mine, even though I gave her the name and what the exact order was. she wouldn't give me her mangers name and then proceeded to talk about me in Spanish to her co workers. I won't say what she called me and said about me because it was foul and inappropriate. thats not even the end of it, she then proceeded to call the cops or so she said. Been a while so I thought I would give it a try. Pretty empty inside with just one person working their. There was some take out orders going out though. I ordered a 1/4 white with Yucca and Salad. The chicken itself was very good. The Yucca a bit cold and the salad though fresh was very wet. They are very skimpy on the sauces, the containers are tiny little things, I asked for more and got a couple. They don't seem to do a lot of business so maybe that is why the Yucca was cold. The worst chicken ever. The chicken was very fatty and slimy. The seasoning was alright but the quality of the chicken was sub par. We ordered a family meal with sides and no drinks. I wish I would have driven a bit farther for crisp and juicy or Sardis. I would have even driven to Wheaton for pollo Rico if I knew the food would have been this bad. I am giving two stars for the beauty of the restaurant, clean restrooms and friendly service even though their English was not very good. Now let's talk about the food: greasy, greasy, greasy. I ordered 1 whole chicken, fried rice, string beans and mixed veggies. The chicken was okay but nothing to jump up and down about. The fried rice tasted like they cooked it in butter (see photo) and was slightly over cooked. It didn't taste bad, it just didn't have a true Peruvian fried rice taste like its competitors. The string beans were also soaked in oil (see photo). They tasted like salty canned string beans. They added more salt to it which made it too salty. The mixed veggies were pretty good but I've had better. If you like your food cooked in lots of butter, oil and salt then you will like their food. First time eating at this place last night and even though it's "Super" close to my house I wouldn't go back to " Super Chicken" . It's a fake-Me-Out version of " Picca chicken" and " Crisp & Juicy" . I ordered the 1/4 ( Dark) chicken with my sides as Plantains & fries. The fries tasted way to under done and the plantains just tasted straight up like soggy bananas. The 1/4 dark meat was " Super " dry and the only thing ok about it was the skin. I'm 4 months pregnant and when I went to go bite into my plantain I saw something shiny coming out of it. Yep! A medal wire. Won't be returning back here and I've learned my lesson. Lesson one: go with your first instinct (which was picca chicken) Lesson two: never go to a place that's about to close in 30mins. And Lesson three: read reviews first. This review is for the customer service. I called to ask for delivery ( a service they clearly state that they provide). I was told that there was no delivery right now because they are too busy and was asked to come in for pick up. Before I was able to give her a response, she hung up the phone on me. Unbelievable! What is the point of offering that service if you cannot provide it. Not only not provide it but be rude to the customer for something that you're at fault for. Smh. I have tried this dish at several restaurants, but what I got at this place tasted nothing like lomo saltado. The meat was flavorless, and the tomatoes were overcooked, I could not finish the dish. This place is also very good. Fairly new so its super clean and spacious. Good for dining in and now they deliver!! Im a fan of their pasta salad, not so much the white rice but they do have fried rice as well. Good portions, Chicken is always on point nice and moist and cut to order. I absolutely love Peruvian chicken. And whenever I am in between my attempts at veganism I always try to get my hands some delicious Peruvian rotisserie chicken. So, when Super Chicken opened up near me I was super excited. I popped in to try the new restaurant with the goofy name. Unfortunately, their chicken is anything but super. The whole chicken with two sides platter was reasonably priced at $17.99. The black beans & rice and vegetables that I ordered were decent but the chicken was incredibly salty. I am not sure if they brine the chicken for too long or just over season it. Maybe I just got a bad batch. But the chicken was nearly inedible. I am so disappointed by Super Chicken. I ordered the super burrito which an unusally long time to make. Also it was false advertising because everything that was supposed to be in the burrito was not enough or not at all. For instance, not enough sour cream & no avocado or salsa at all. And i asked where is the avocado and was told its not in season. Avocado is not season vegetable its always in season. So they lied to me and that is why I will not be going back there.
