The hostess took our name and…read moretold us it would be about 20 minutes, so we happily went outside to wait since the lobby is tiny and the staff looked like they were fighting for their lives. As we waited, I started noticing something interesting: two parties who came in after us were seated immediately. Then almost 30 minutes went by. At that point, I poked my head back in and said, "Hey, we put our name down about 30 minutes ago, and I've noticed people coming in and getting seats." Immediately, the hostess who originally helped us said, "Yes, yes... sorry about that. You can choose a table right now." So apparently our table had been available in the Witness Protection Program. To make matters worse, we were seated next to one of the parties that arrived after us, and we got to enjoy the thrilling experience of watching them receive their food before we even ordered. The food itself was good overall. The only miss for me was the mac and cheese, which tasted like KFC mac and cheese that had a passionate encounter with a jar of jalapeño juice. Would I come back? Maybe. The food was decent, but for a first visit, the service definitely left a stronger impression than the meal did.

The rooster fries were loaded with cut up chicken tenders, mayo, cheese, bacon, spicy jalapeños, and a sweet gochujangy sauce. Since they were so loaded tho it did kinda all get soggy. The half fried chicken was a little more crunchy and came with some more of that gochujang sauce for dipping and crunchy pickled radish. The kimchi chicken sando was massive and had a thick dark meat piece of chicken smothered in more sweet sticky gochujang sauce, crunchy tangy pickles and kimchi, spicy jalapeños, nutty lettuce and rich mayo all on a soft chewy pretzel bun. The honey chicken came with some veggies and rice, had good grilled flaves and was pretty much like a teriyaki chicken. Kinda wish the fried chicken was all a little more crunchy but service was awesome and Portions, prices, and flaves are decent so this place is still lowkey pretty good. You can get your Chinese fast-food take out and wings craving from this one stop and you won't regret! I ordered for take out via their online website. They have a special deal right now! $5 off orders $25+ when ordering delivery or pick up via online. The prices were reasonable considering the serving portions are very generous. The service was also quick! My order was ready to pick up within 15 minutes and it was neatly packed. WHAT I ORDERED: 1. Spicy Orange Chicken ($11) - I ordered thinking it was going to taste like the typical orange chicken flavor like you get in other Chinese take out or the Panda one, but this one is with the red chili peppers (similar to the chili pepper used in kung pao chicken) and ORANGE PEEL! The traditional way to make orange chicken. The flavors mixed so well together and it is not overly sweet and tangy, but a wonderful blend of sweet, salty and spicy! It comes with a side of white rice. Highly recommend! 2. 12 PC Chicken Wings (Traditional) ($14) - You can order boneless for the same price, but I went with traditional with the bone-in. I ordered Garlic Soy (wet) and Spicy Lemon Pepper (dry). The garlic soy flavor is not like the ones you get at Korean chicken wing places, but it's the Chinese style, which was packed with soy sauce flavor. I thought I liked this flavor better, but as I tasted a second piece of the Spicy Lemon Pepper, I gravitated more towards the dry rub. It was not potent with lemon pepper but more of the spicy seasoning. I enjoyed it still but I would give the other flavors a try because the two flavors weren't standing out. 3. Jumbo Shrimp ($7) - Four big pieces of fried jumbo shrimp (just like what you would get if you ever ordered from Ono Hawaiian). It came with a cocktail sauce but eeew, it did not taste right. I hope the store can improve on their sauce. Luckily, the fried shrimp tasted great without it. Although there were some smelly hints of the shrimp being almost left out for too long before being fried, but it happened to only 2 of the 4 shrimps. 4. Fried Zucchini ($4) - Plentiful as a shareable appetizer! I loved their fried zucchini, it was perfectly fried with dashes of their spicy seasoning on top. Inside, the zucchini was soft and I kept digging in the box for another piece. It's served with a subtle ranch sauce, which is good with or without. I also got a salad & some radish on the side. Loved munching on the radish in between every few wings! Mid-meal, the owner refilled my water and struck up a conversation with me. He's such a cool dude and I deeply admire him for bringing 3 CM Chicken locations to the West Coast. Wings were perfectly seasoned, juicy, and crispy. You can really taste how they use fresh ingredients in their recipes. Waffle fries did not disappointment. And the side fixings were such a nice touch to the overall savory-ness of the meal.
