Definitely could have been better. This was a miss for me. We went during lunch and placed our order quickly. The appetizers came out quickly, but our main meal didn't arrive for 30-40 minutes, and my Thai iced tea (ordered first) didn't arrive until we asked for the check. More about that later. While waiting for our food, the lack of communication and follow-up was the big miss for me. Our server walked by several times but did not make eye contact (speeding by to do one thing or another), stopped to check in to see if we needed anything, or provide an update on our food. When I finally got her attention, she said, "Oh, let me check," and then the food came out shortly after. I completely understand that the restaurant is new and the team is still finding its rhythm, but this felt like a basic customer service miss. Checking tables, noticing when drinks haven't arrived, giving updates, and asking how the food is going are small things that make a big difference. As for the food, the #1 Shoyu Ramen with Black Garlic broth was delicious. Unfortunately, the #3 Shoyu Beef broth tasted like swansons boxed beef broth, and the noodles tasted like packaged maruchan ramen. Neither of us finished our ramen. The veggie spring rolls tasted as if they came straight from the freezer. They did not claim they were made in-house, so let me not ding them on that. The popcorn chicken looked amazing, but the seasoning that was used on it was not appealing to my friend or to me, so that was another thing we didn't eat. The ambiance is cute, and the menu has lots of choices. Honestly, even though the food was uneven, I would have been open to coming back and trying other items. What makes me hesitant to return is the customer service experience. I understand they are new, so I was prepared for mistakes, a long wait, etc, but I wasn't prepared for them to not know how to identify challenges or recover from them. The final moment that really stood out was when the Thai iced tea arrived just as I was about to ask for the check. I told the server it was too late and that I no longer wanted it, given that my meal was over. She gave me the bill on a little iPad and didn't present it to me so I could see the itemized list. So I had to ask to see the bill first. Good thing I checked, because she hadn't removed the Thai Iced tea, so I had to ask her to. She looked a little annoyed. I wanted to tell her she would have really been annoyed if I had complained about my whole experience, but I understand they are trying. When we left, several people said goodbye, including someone who seemed like he may have been the manager. I appreciated that, but I also wished the manager had asked how everything was so that they could learn from the experience and where they could improve. A new restaurant does not have to be perfect at all, but when things go wrong, it's how they recover that is most important to me. A quick check-in, an apology, or simply noticing what was missing would have gone a long way. read more

We were disappointed with our experience. The ramen was mediocre. We ordered two appetizers and two ramen bowls and when the server asked if we wanted everything at once or coursed out, we specifically requested appetizers first. Unfortunately, the appetizers never arrived and our ramen was served instead. Throughout the meal, no one checked on us, so we never had a chance to mention the missing appetizers. It also took a very long time to receive attention from our server and receive our check/close out. Additionally, we saw another table send back their shrimp because it was served cold, which raised additional concerns. Better communication, more attentive service, and improved quality control would made a big difference. We hope this feedback is taken to improve moving forward. read more

Christian was our server the first time and he did so amazing, we asked for him again.. incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us the best recommendations both times we came in. Kenny, the manager, even remembered us from our first visit and came over to check in and chat for a bit, which made the experience feel so welcoming and personal. The staff overall was super friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious, I got the #6 "NY favorite" ramen tbh i forgot the name but it was soooooo good and full of flavor! Great ambience, friendly staff, tasty food. Definitely recommend the Black Garlic Tokyo Tonkotsu Ramen, Shoyu Beef Ramen, Eel Avocado Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Pan Fried Gyoza. Finish your bowl of ramen to uncover if you won a prize. Got to write on a wooden plank and place it up high on the tree. Overall a great experience. A week later I came for lunch with friends and we were seated in a different private room. They did not have what we wanted (Mentaiko Cream Udon and Karaage Chicken), so we went with Chili Garlic Edamame, Popcorn Chicken, Takoyaki, Crispy Sweet Chili Wings, Agedashi Tofu, Ika Geso Karaage, Pan Fried Gyoza, and Yakitori Platter. Very good. We would have liked if our lady server offered us water refills. We had to ask at the end. Definitely make a reservation if you want to go during prime time on the weekend. Parking can be a bear during those times as well. I've actually been to the one in Suwanee, GA and they are comparably the same all around. We have been twice and both times waiters were untrained teenagers who knew nothing about the menu, got orders wrong and are challenging to flag down. My husband got the sashimi flight and multiple skewers (gyu harami, negima, baby scallop), and I got the beef shoyu rame, all of which were delicious. The space itself is absolutely beautiful and very open, modern, and spacious. Very cool booths and seating options. I ordered the #6 (Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen). The broth was really delicious - one of the best I've had in the DMV. The pork slices however had more fat than meat to it - every single piece. The fat was so soft and hard to enjoy that most of it ended up being wasted. Even my dinner companion, who normally never wastes a bit of ramen, couldn't stomach the pieces that were remaining on his ramen bowl either (same dish). We also ordered the popcorn chicken and were disappointed with how it lacked any sort of crunchy texture and generally tasted bland. Will not be ordering that again. I hope that the meat cuts within the ramen may improve in the future, as the broth and environment were fantastic. read more

Went to Super Kyuramen the other day and honestly had a great experience. Steven was our server and he was super nice the whole time. He made sure we were good, checked in often, and everything came out quickly. I recommended the #3 Shoyu Beef Ramen to everyone at the table and it ended up being really good. The broth had a lot of flavor and the beef was really tender. We also got some sushi and it was fresh and tasted amazing. Steven's service honestly made the experience even better. We went yesterday and were told 2 of our Spicy Tonkatsu noodle soups were not available after we waited for several minutes. Christian, our server said that "Something went wrong with the kitchen." and gave us 4 options of noodle soup which we didn't like. Why didn't the server informed us ahead when we ordered? We waited like 15 minutes until we were told it is not available. And we were surprised that gratuity is automatically included for 5 people. The parking is terrible as well. Server sounded borderline bored and just wanted to get our orders and move on (off hours so place wasn't full). Perhaps it is their unfamiliarity with the menu that's the issue. When asked the difference between A and B... server said A is "more foodie" while B is just B. What?!? Ok-- young kids... I shouldn't expect too much but they should look happy and excited to welcome their customers! Now the food: the ramen was delicious! Flavorful broth served at the right temperature. You can't go wrong with this. The pork tonkatsu had the perfectly crisp exterior , moist and tender interior. But it needed salt. Same with the egg and rice. Bland. Great texture but very bland. The dish was also begging for a side... like a pickled ginger or anything with more acid to cut the richness of the dish. Will give it another shot and try other items on the menu. read more

Terrible service and messed management, came here on Tuesday at 2pm, only fewer tables but still asked us(two people) to wait 15 minutes, finally got a table at a very weird place, then continued to wait more than 10 minutes nobody came to serve until I called someone still waited another five minutes to get two cups of water and made the order, there were plenty of waiters and waitresses but very inefficient and the management looked very inefficient too, all of them looked so busy but did nothing, it's hard to think what they will do in busy hours.
