This place is ridiculous. I assume every other Chinese buffet within 50 miles went out of business. It's huge. Not just the food selection, but the seating area, and if you come in on a Sunday afternoon, it'll be full. Of the local Asian community, with plates full of only the seafood. I assume it's the white guys eating fried rice that make the overall profitability of this place. There's sushi (mediocre, but meh), all the classic Asian-american treats, random stuff like Pizza or French fries, a shockingly decent salad bar, decent dim-sum, a "Mongolian-bbq" style build-your-own stir-fry, and a rather impressive selection of fresh fruit. Depending on the time and day, you can get shellfish, fried fish, steamed fish, crab, frog legs, and snails. Prices range from 10 dollars for lunch during the week to 16 on the afternoon when the seafood is out in full force. This includes drinks! Drink as much coke as you want! Tea also, which is better. Drink that tea. Overall, it's fairly cheap, hugely varied, and tasty. read more

Taking into consideration I could never before see myself giving an Asian buffet more than two stars, this shows I was somewhat impressed. Although, like every other time I go to a buffet I leave feeling too full and saddened by the obesity levels in this country.... Ok, so the food was actually pretty good, except the beef pot stickers were horrid. The pricing, at 11 for a lunch, was ok but slightly on the high side. So few times I happen across truly inedible food but here it is. Super Moon is a big place with a vast array of steam tables. Much variety to be had. I sampled a bit of a lot of things..and 90 per cent of them were cold. Not refrigerator cold, but just barely warm. This is concerning due to safety. Buffet foods are to be held at certain temperatures and this food isn't hot, not by a long shot. If you are lucky enough to see someone dump in new food right out of the kitchen, then dash up there and get some! The "boneless ribs", for example, were truly inedible. Dry as leather, hard to chew, the kind of meat that could choke you.Never in my life and I'm getting old, have I had such awful, hard meat in a restaurant. Some of the chicken dishes were the same. There's a vast array of sushi, none of which I saw touched in the 2 hours I was there. Those fried donut things you find at Chinese restaurants, hard from sitting out too long. I've came to this place many times and it is always good. But one day my friends and I decided to go an hour and a half prior to closing and it wasn't a very good experience. They started taking the food away 30 minutes before the closing time. I felt rushed and our drink server didn't acknowledge our refills and empty plates like usual. Went on V-day and it was worth the wait to try out the buffet for the first time. (Line to be seated was so long, there were people out the door.) Long story short, I'll definitely return to try out Mongolian grill (line was long) and get the hard to find options. Food review: -amazing variety of selections -gems like dim sum with different buns, pork belly, roast duck, whole shrimp, blue crab, crawfish, fried banana were found! -selections that you'd find elsewhere were average, like lo mein or mai fun -sushi selections were good--better than most with a buffet. Nigiri was a little dry, even though it was just made. Tempura sushi selections were decent. It was all mixed, so one of mine was shrimp, another was salmon. It was cold, as it was less popular and left to sit. -dessert choices average (similar to most Chinese buffets in the area), my choice was fried banana with chocolate soft serve ice cream Service: -best service from person checking everyone in. She at least tried to make small talk while we were in line -host didn't take us all the way to our booth--tried to hand our napkins and utensils to my partner and pointed out the booth that was "straight ahead". A server noticed this and took the utensils and walked us the rest of the way -needed to ask for more water -server was told about underdone apple pie and server shrugged it off -there was someone refilling the soft serve ice cream in the middle of a line waiting. I get that you don't want it running out, but he nearly ran over a little boy to get to the machine in front of the line. Super Moon Buffet may not be very good, but at least the service sucks. "What do you mean the service sucks?", you ask, "it's a Buffet". Well, you can only get something to drink from a server. Good luck washing down that cold, mushy sesame chicken with melted ice at the bottom of your glass because you'll only see that person once or twice - probably when your mouth is full of "Chinese food". Some of the food is edible, just keep an eye out for what's been sitting out too long or anything fried...or the seafood...or the salad. read more

Great attraction for the first year with seafood such as whole fried fish which is a must, large mussels (they have about four kinds...not all are as tasty). Those are about it on the seafood end that I would recommend. Soup...who comes to buffet to have soup? Ah....and that is why it was bland and tasteless. There is a grill but Chef couldnt keep up almost the whole time I was here so I avoided it. Sushi. I wouldn't recommend. Very dry. After searching for MANY years , I went back and gave this place another try , it's the only decent one from all around here . The foods are good, I haven't found any inedible foreign object in any of our foods in a while , so it's ok SOMEWHAT only thing I would have a bit to fuss about is , seeing fruit flies over by the fruits , and who knows where they have also landed .. But this place is the best of its kind .. The staffs are great though . The fried rice and lo mein were the only foods that were not cold. It appeared that many of their warmers were broken. This restaurant is in a desperate need of a deep clean and updating. The booths were so worn that they were faded from their original color. Tables were broken and beaten up. The carpet was very stained, faded and the smell was terrible. Most of the food was premade frozen items. The hibachi was so dirty and hadn't been cleaned. There was a black char on our food from the old grease and food. I would not come back. read more

So glad they are back open for inside dining. My husband and I were very impressed with how clean everything was; they provide plastic gloves at every station, all the servers were wearing masks. Upon initial impression, my hopes were up about this experience. There are huge cement dragons making a grand entrance into the building and beautiful koi ponds right inside the building. However, the food is not good & in no way makes up for the nice aesthetics that draw you in. If endless options is what you are looking for, then this may be the place for you; but if you're looking for quality Asian food, I would keep searching. The menu is seriously endless, from pizza & french fries (yup.. at an Asian buffet) to sushi to dim sum to Mongolian barbecue, you name it and they probably have it. Unfortunately, nothing had me running back for seconds. Most grocery stores have better quality sushi and like most buffets a lot of the other food felt old & over-heat-lamped. The best part of my meal was definitely the Mongolian BBQ, where you get to choose your own ingredients and have them grill it for you. This was tasty, but if I was craving Mongolian BBQ in the first place, I probably would have head down to Khan's. I hadn't eaten at an Asian buffet in a while and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was clean and had a good assortment of food. The $10.95 lunch price (plus tax) included drinks. I would've preferred paying less money and drank just water. It was too long of a wait to receive refills of hot tea. Another thing I didn't like was the instrumental music faintly heard in the background. It sounded like the same song played over and over. That would drive me nuts if I worked there and had to put up with that. It's unlikely I'll come back to Super Moon. read more

I took my family to this place Sunday night, my fiancé said that one of her coworker said that it was good so I wanted it to try it, so we went in we were sit right away so we went to get some food and let me tell you the food is good and they have a lot of different food and it's good quality but what I didn't like was the waiter since we got there he was just talking to this group of people like, he wasn't cleaning or anything he was just standing there talking to this group of people, we needed it some drinks so we called a different waiter to get our drinks and then when we were leaving he gave us a bad look because we didn't tip him, like all you do is get us drinks and you failed. read more

This buffet is awesome! A decent sized selection of foods for under $10, pleasant service and a seemingly clean atmosphere. The food itself was perfectly warm, for the most part very tasty and there was an excellent selection to choose from. I only disappointment was with the sushi. It was ok but nothing too special. The layout of the place was also great. As you walk in and leave there are two nice Koi ponds to check out. The island that the food is laid out on us also nice and not too cluttered. I found plenty of fresh warm food and no big queues to contend with. There is a nice big mixed salad bar too. Overall this place was thoroughly enjoyed and well deserving of 4 or 5 stars. I would have given the 5th star had there been slightly more selection and the sushi had been a little nicer. A great place to check out though and somewhere I will certainly be returning! read more

The 5 stars relate to the restaurant's ranking within the realm of Chinese buffets. You are not going to find a broader selection of good options many other places in the metro. They pretty much have it all here. I haven't done the Mongolian grill part as I've always gotten plenty full off the regular buffet items and sushi bar. The sushi isn't great, but it's better than typical buffet sushi. It gets pretty busy the closer you get to noon, but the staff keeps everything stocked and fresh. The waitresses keep an eye on topping off your drinks and clearing dirty plates. Not the friendliest crew, but efficient. Overall, a great deal at $11 for a gut-stuffing lunch. read more
