There's not much to be said about Super Pizzeria that others haven't already. This place is located in a sort of strip mall on 32nd Avenue about a block from Coral Way. The pizza is good, but in my opinion the sandwiches are better. I recently got a tuna sub and an Italian sub, both "with everything". It took about 15 minutes as there was 1 guy taking orders and baking everything on the early Wednesday evening I came here. Both sandwiches were large and very tasty, and it was only $20 including tax for both. There are booths inside to sit and eat and a TV to watch while you're waiting or eating, along with a few old-school video games from the 1980s; the place looks like it hasn't really been updated in a few decades. IMO that's part of the charm - and part of the reason their prices have remained so reasonable. The owner is often around, especially later at night and on weekends, he can usually be spotted wearing a Marlins baseball cap and is known for patronizing other area businesses, who's customers often stop here a lot to eat. read more

I used to order from here every once in a while. I loved their greek salads & eggplant parmigiana. My dad was feeling nostalgic & decided to stop in. I was immediately NOT feeling it. They were out of virtually everything & the place looked drab & empty. My dad decided to order a gyro (i was totally against it.) The gray slab of meat looked cold as it spun on it's spit with not a heating lamp or fire to heat it in sight. Didn't seem to matter to the employee... she gingerly sliced the cold, stiff layers of gyro meat off, & only then,did she turn on the lamps. I was going to say something but my dad was already mad at me because I was apparently making faces (i don't doubt it) so I let it go. Sure enough, the next day he told me he did not like it very much (i think that was a HUGE understatement but he didn't want to admit i was right). Doesn't seem like anyone cares about quality or service at this spot anymore. What a shame because it really was a neighborhood gem for years. Here's to hoping it cones back to that. read more

I think about my childhood and growing up off of 32nd Ave. I am Cuban-American born and raised here. The neighborhood thing starts at Coral Park across from the cemetery all the way down to the Boys and Girls club off Dixie Hwy. Many of us never ventured very far from our neighborhood. Who remembers Zayre's??? Crossing Coral Way my mom would take me to this unassuming plaza to have her shoes worked on and in this plaza resides Super Pizzeria still to this day. My first slice of Cheese pizza with a Cherry Coke was enjoyed here at the age of seven. Playing sitdown Ms Pacman for the very first time in the 80's, many quarters were spent here. Super Pizzeria was/is my home, and for many neighborhood kids it was/is their home. This place has lasted over forty years. The food is good food. It isn't gourmet or sit down fancy food. It is a neighborhood pizza place that was my first. Thank you Super Pizzeria for being part of my life. I can only wish another forty years for you. read more

Ordered three pizzas and three salads online. Went down to pick them up, and they somehow forgot one of the pizzas, so we had to wait and go back 15 minutes later. Also, apparently there is only ONE size pizza on the website. Very small pizzas. So call to order, don't order online. Have they ever heard of Squarespace? Fix your damn website. The pizza and salad were amazing. However, we ordered one more pizza (via phone) because those small pizzas we got were obviously not enough for all of us. We go back to pick up the large pizza 30 minutes after calling, and all three people working there are just chilling in one of the booths. They somehow forgot the pizza a SECOND time in the same night for the same customer. So we waited yet again another 15 minutes. Never said sorry. Not once. The blonde lady got super defensive. are used to go to this place as a kid. It's been around for over 40 years are used to play Gallagher and Miss Pac-Man there. They still have the same Gallagher and miss Pac-Man machines. And the pizzas just as good as I remember it. On top of it something you would never expect for a place that's been consistent as fast service and a really good pizza, it's generally pretty cheap. This was the worst pizza I have ever tasted. Dare I say, even school cafeteria pizza tasted better than this. But let me elaborate on the bad experience we had: I placed my order online via Eat24 as I always do. The order was placed at 8:17pm and I received the delivery at 9:55pm. During this waiting period, I contacted the restaurant and asked for the status of my order, to which the lady replied that the order was already on the way. I asked her to confirm the name/details on the order...just so I have peace of mind that they received the order online, but she refused to tell me the info. She just kept repeating "All the orders we had are with the delivery guy right now". So, I waited half an hour more until I reached out to Eat24's customer service, and they were able to confirm that my order was indeed received but still with the driver. Okay...thats fine...I'll be a little more patient. Once the driver arrived, I received a phone call from the restaurant saying that the driver could not get into my apartment building (yes, it is locked...however, I noted in the instructions to ring the doorbell). Once we open the door, the delivery guy has the audacity to say he was waiting outside my apartment for an HOUR! Really?!?!? Why didn't I ever receive a call? And why didn't anyone tell me this after I communicated with both the restaurant and Eat24? Needless to say, we didn't appreciate the dishonesty and mediocre customer service. Starving at this point, we just wanted to sit and eat our meal already. But not even that was satisfying. Our pizza arrived super cold. We each took one slice to taste, and it was just awful. Their cardboard dough has no flavor and was a strange spongy texture...almost like it was stale. Their cheese was like that plastic Kraft White American cheese. It definitely didn't taste like mozzarella. I figured maybe popping it into the oven to heat it up might make it a little bearable...but that wasn't the case. Just warm cardboard pizza. We ate a couple of slices and dumped the rest...didn't want save any of the left-overs. This was the first and LAST time I will be eating from here. I can usually forgive lousy customer service because maybe they were just slammed and the driver was having a bad day. But if you have bad customer service and tasteless food, it is not looking good. "Super Pizza" was not so super after all. Don't advertise pizza if you can't get it to taste AT LEAST better than a Domino's or Papa John's. read more

Amazing place! I went last night with my family and the pizza is just fenomenal. I ran into this place randomly as I was passing by, so thank god I saw it. The attention from the staff is great. Surprised I'm actually the first review. This place is legendary amongst some circles; here's a clue: on weekends, Christmas and New Year's they don't close (or didn't used to). Their sandwiches are where it's at-- respectable gyros and subs that haven't changed in 30 years and that's a good thing. Oh and really good garlic rolls; however ethereal when augmented with ingredients at home (i.e.: melted butter, fresh minced garlic, grated parmesan, etc....,oh man my mouth is watering). 3.5 stars without augmentation! Don't be fooled by the dumpster look. I have been going here for years abd the food is delicious. Very home and old school feel, very nostalgic including a pacman game table :) They have beer and lots of sodas or tea to drink including some desserts and juices. There is just something about the soft bread with the crispy exterior and the mayo and Italian meats that go great with their mystery dressing. This place is one of those hole in the wall places that is probably great after a night of drinks. However, the food I had was mediocre at best. I ordered the Gyro platter and expected much more than what I got. Maybe I'm spoiled by Greektown back home in Detroit, but this "platter" consisted nothing more than the Gyros meat, French fries, a "Greek" salad, and pita bread. the place might psyche you out as being a two star joint then you talk to the supper chill people there and try their amazing gyros and you fall in love with the shadyness of it its a family owned place, reminds me of something that would be family owned in jersy but very very miami style. they have tvs playing sports and its very mom and pop, if you need something you can either wait for the guy who helps out come around or get up and get it urself i ussually go in to have their gyro because its def my favorite one that iv had in miami. but everything iv seen served here looks fantastic and smells amazing and when i have veered from my gyro choice a few time and must say i have only good things to say ever!
