They only accept cash, so that's another reason why their prices are low. They do have an ATM machine inside, so that makes it convenient. After stopping by Super Taco for lunch again recently, I've made a few additional observations. Firstly the 4 dollar Super burritos and 3 dollar regular burritos though a bit soupy, do push Super Taco to a 5 star rating for me. The salsa and beans they use seem to add to the soupyness, but just let it drain out and there won't be any problems. I love love LOVE their carne asada, often times you'll see them grilling it up and chopping it up right before putting it in your burritos or tacos. The flavor is perfect and consistent, as is their carnitas. The green sauce they have is not as mild as I remember, it is full of flavor and fairly spicy when liberally applied. Liberal use of the green sauce is definitely encouraged as the beans are unflavored and can use a kick. Super Taco is dive, but I'm always extremely impressed with the quality of their tacos and burritos. Give them a try, you won't be sorry. read more

The location is kind of hidden since their door signs faces the parking lot away from the main street but, have a small parking lot which is great. The super taco and super burrito is great! its packed with plenty of toppings inside so your not just eating rice or beans like some other places. But, the best part, their red sauce! The food is good, but not great. I chose this place because my husband likes to eat chips and salsa along with his meal bad they happened to have a check in offer of free chips with the yelp coupon. When we presented the coupon to the cashier, she refused to honor the coupon and proceeded to charge for chips that we told her we no longer wanted. Super Taco is one of the only restaurants that pop in my mind when I think of authentic Mexican cuisine in the East Bay. This restaurant is popular amongst high schoolers and locals. I first came here in 2008 and returned recently only to see that the food still tastes great! My secret tip is to get the Carne Asada Super Burrito, substitute rice for beans, add salsa and ask for it to be crispy (they'll toast your burrito on the grill). I have frequented this place for some time. Tacos are their strong suite but burritos and quesadillas are also good. I would recommend that if you are eating there get the tacos or quesadillas as they don't travel well. I'll get a burrito if I am bringing it back to work. The reason I give 3 stars is food consistency. All of the meats with the exception of carne asada vary in freshness. Likely what I have experienced is the prior day or two old meat reheated to a point where the Chile verde and alpastor is a bit dry and somewhat hard. The fiish and shrimp items are fresh cooked to order so that won't be an issue. I tried different days hoping that the meat I chose was freshly cooked. That is the case most of the time but when it's not it is a different experience. All in all its good place for lunch or dinner. If you have a not so good experience don't write it off but give them another try. When you hit the sweet spot you will be happy. read more

It's not all creative with fries and bs in it. It is straight to the point meat, lots of meat, beans, cheese, and avocado (optional) with salsa. How a burrito is supposed to be. The carne Asada is delicious juicy flavorful cooked and cut just right. The pastor is usually really good sometimes can be overcooked, and chicken are cooked has always been Just right. The tacos are packed with meat no skimping bs going on here. It's great They offer 2 salsas green tomatillo, or classic red hot. The pricing is how it should be. They aren't gouging you for every nickel and dime like other places that try to sell a mediocre or even shitty burrito for $9-10 loading it with rice or fluff that just takes away the real flavor. The green sauce is the perfect amount of spice and adds to create a perfect burrito. My boyfriend had this burrito, and messed up his stomach in the middle of the night (he had work early in the morning). He told me the fish was "a little too fishy", which is definitely not a good sign when it comes to seafood. This restaurant needs to focus on inventory and make sure that all customers are indulging in fresh and safe to eat ingredients. It seems like they have decent business, so they shouldn't have an issue with ordering fresh food supply. My friends and I came in on a Friday evening. I was soooo embarrassed because we were on our way home from church and all three of us had taken part in Vacation Bible School. I was the only one still in costume (I was dressed like a queen...the royal kind) and my friends found it HIIIII-larious that I would have to go into Super T to eat in said costume. Grrrrr! At any rate, we moseyed on in at around 9:30, ordered up a batch of carne asada tacos, and were served in about 10 minutes. The tacos are very heavy and filling; I ate two and I regretted it. One taco should have been my limit. Oh! I guess I should specify that we got super tacos...they had beans and a bunch of other fixings and two tortillas!
