    Pork and chicken
    Sharon L.

Update: I've been getting pork and chicken every time so far but today I tried the tamales oaxaquenos for the first time and OMG. Salsa verde con pollo. Amazing. Pretty sure I wiggled in happiness with the first bite. Definitely absolutely for sure getting these more often!

Excellent moist tamales. Doesn't crumble and leave a dry taste and has excellent flavor.

Shoot, I thought it was always free but I guess they charge $6! I had the combo chicken enchilada with the beef taco with beans and veggies for $24. I like the customization especially since I'm trying to lose weight. It is a bit expensive, but it was delicious. Service was good. She was very attentive and personable. After waiting over an hour, we noticed another large party that arrived after us being seated first. Only after we spoke up did staff realize they had entirely forgotten about our group because they were preparing to close. A very disappointing first impression before we even stepped foot inside the restaurant. Once seated, we ordered drinks and experienced the buffet, but service after that was almost nonexistent. The entire experience felt rushed, as if we were no longer welcome because we ended up being among the last guests there -- something that could have easily been avoided had we been seated when we were supposed to. What makes this even more upsetting is the cost. Our bill was over $630 before gratuity and additional tip. For that price, I expected attentive service and a memorable Mother's Day experience, not to feel forgotten and rushed out. I've honestly received far better service at restaurants costing a fraction of the price. The only thing I truly enjoyed were the waffles, but even then, I can easily find restaurants with similar or better food quality and significantly better service. Will I return? No. Would I recommend coming here for holidays or special occasions? Absolutely not. There are many restaurants in the area that provide far better food, service, and overall value for a fraction of this cost. Unfortunately, Pedro's was not one of them. Pedro's, do better. Customers should never feel overlooked, rushed, or exploited -- especially on occasions meant to celebrate family and mothers.

The menu is packed with delicious options, but I can't recommend the carne asada tacos or burrito enough. The meat is perfectly seasoned, tender, and bursting with flavor. The service was fast as the food was ready on time after we placed an online order. The ambiance here was nice also, and nice to note that they had some nice outdoor seating. For food we tried: * Al pastor burrito - this was pretty big and filled with all the goods which i liked. The meat was marinated well and I liked how all the ingredients came together well * Chicken burrito - hubby had this burrito and said this one was not as good as the al pastor which he had a few bites of mine * carne asada taco - this was filled with lots of meet and was well flavored. Meat was fairly juicy as well Overall we had a good time trying this spot out!

I would suggest that the serve mention that when taking orders so we know. Just because it's at the very bottom of the menu I didn't notice it until I asked for a dessert menu. The food was so good! We had Mexican jambalaya, Carne asada plate, tacos Dorado, enchiladas with both sauces, parillada, enfrioladas (bean enchiladas) tacos de pescado, Don julio flight, multiple drinks and churros. The churros were really good although we wish there was a non filled ones too and to have the optionof if we wanted it dressed up because churros are already super sweet with the cinnamonand sugar dusted but caramel and whip cream was added along with a strawberry filling. We also ordered a tres leches cake but we didn't like the tres leches cake, it was too sweet, so sweet that we couldn't taste the filling which we assume was pineapple lol the color was yellow with pieces of fruit but we couldn't taste it. Overall the service was great and quick. I would definitely come back here.

Plenty of parking available since the restaurant is in a strip mall. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but then it started picking up. There was only one server working and she was really hustling to meet everyone's needs. Plus, she was friendly. I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Both of the desserts were so good and a perfect touch of sweetness.

My previous order was supposed to contain all shredded beef, that was substituted without warning by shredded chicken. I'm allergic to chicken. But as I said, I loved this place, so I tried it again. Bad idea. Food arrived lukewarm despite being quickly and directly delivered. That's a big problem because the shredded beef is stewed. It should be at least 140f when the food was prepped. It was not. How do I know? Because when contaminated stewed meat is held below 140f dangerous bacteria (clostridium perfringens) develop and make people sick. All three people who had the stewed beef also had food poisoning and were tested to have this bacteria and it could have only come from Casa Azteca. I'm heartbroken. I loved this place. But when trust is lost, it's almost impossible to regain.
