Tamal de res, tamal de mole
    Jose Manuel C.

Some people might not but from a hot dog stand looking thing, but tamales are best from rustic places. No seats eat in your car, or stand as people do in the motherland. The guy has the tamal pot that they have in the mx, they put cheese salsa and crema on to em, not too many places sell mole tamales but this one does!!!! The beef one is solid too! They also have tacos al vapor. Nice dude , offers friendly service. Best tamales I've had in the bay

Update: I've been getting pork and chicken every time so far but today I tried the tamales oaxaquenos for the first time and OMG. Salsa verde con pollo. Amazing. Pretty sure I wiggled in happiness with the first bite. Definitely absolutely for sure getting these more often!

I wanted to mentioned that even after spending over $100 I had to ask for salsa instead of them offering or giving me any.

Excellent moist tamales. Doesn't crumble and leave a dry taste and has excellent flavor.

Lupita's is an eatery serving authentic Mexican cuisine, located in an unnamed shopping center on El Camino Real in Santa Clara. Luckily, I was able to find a spot to park in the tiny lot. I visited before they expanded as a panadería. At that time, the venue was small, a single, clean & cozy dining room with hardwood flooring, blue painted walls, wooden tables & chairs, and decorative ceiling tiles. Maximum occupancy was likely about 80 persons. I purchased for to-go, so didn't receive any table service after placing 2 A LA CARTE orders of Flautas (3, $8.50) + One Flauta (1, $2.99) at the counter. I requested that each flauta be cut in half and all the toppings packed separately in different containers. My requests were happily granted with a warm smile and the Flautas, filled with shredded chicken, were fried to a perfectly golden crisp. Too bad that I live too far from Lupita's to frequent. I would love to return to dine in, especially now that they double as a taquería and panadería.

This is completely unacceptable! Why would they serve stale tortilla chips?!!! I use to really enjoy the food served here but I will have to patronize other Mexican restaurants because Lupita's doesn't seem to care what they give to their loyal customers! Former customer!

Plenty of parking available since the restaurant is in a strip mall. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but then it started picking up. There was only one server working and she was really hustling to meet everyone's needs. Plus, she was friendly. I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Both of the desserts were so good and a perfect touch of sweetness.

The service is not the best and you have to try hard to catch the servers attention. The food was better this time, but not as good as many other Mexican restaurants. It is not what I consider authentic Mexican food.

They gave me a spicy salsa with it and i also ordered the horchata. The burrito was soo good and huuuge tho i did finish it in two separate sittings.
