It turned out that the sidewall was punctured and not fixable, but they ordered the same tire and put on the spare for me (no charge). I came back in a few hours and it got done. This is old-school; the way things should be. Then you look around and see a fleet of high-end Mercedes, Audis, and BMWs. And they treated me well with a *Corolla*! This is a *good* auto shop.

What really sets this place apart is that Anthony does most of the work himself, and after the job is done, you hear directly from him about what was done and why. He's very polite and easy to talk to, and you never feel like you're being ripped off. The quality is as good as--or better than--the dealership, using original Toyota parts, but without dealership prices. No middleman, no customer service rep--just straight answers from the person actually working on your car. He also documents major repairs with before-and-after photos and will even check in a day or two later to make sure everything's driving well. The clerk told me it's a new business there now, they don't yet have a phone number, it's currently just a gas station (no longer Valero) and snack shop, the auto repair section is closed at this time. He didn't know if George's would reopen elsewhere. Suggesting that I return another time to ask the manager as he might know. I haven't done that yet, but the sudden change makes me sad. I found this place on Google and immediately LOVED their jingle which already put me in a better mood. The service rep was super nice, I believe his name was David. I explained to him what was going on, he listened and took me seriously. I brought up other concerns I had with the vehicle and he was able to make time for me the very next day during the busy holiday season. I love how attentive and communicative they are. They call and/or text. They don't try to upsell you or charge you extra for their services. David was very transparent and answered my questions honestly. I like how they send you a report of your car with pictures of things that are critically important, urgently, or good to go. It helped me decide what I wanted to turn my attention to and fix.
