Another local Chinese restaurant for the win to add to the mix of many in the West Valley. I did a take out order and it was a seamless experience and met my expectations. The menu is quite large so there's a lot to choose from. The inside seemed nice and cozy with a pleasant simple look. Once I entered there was a register and take out area and I didn't have to wait long; the quote time was correct. I went with some basics and favorites of mine and was pleasantly pleased. Chicken Eggrolls - Four per order. They were good sized. Had a good crunch to them and made up of chicken and veggies (carrots, cabbage, green onion). A little bland inside which is common but the sauces (sweet and sour and hot Chinese mustard) help. War Wonton Soup - Good sized to share. Soup (chicken broth) had carrots, shrimp, cabbage, water chestnuts, chicken, a couple wontons filled with ground chicken. Nicely seasoned. Wonton strips provided on the side as well for a good crunch. Beef Chow Fun - Portion is big. Noodles, beef, green onion, sprouts. The establishment is a little hidden however and located in a shopping center with some other businesses. Parking is readily available. Prices were reasonable and fair to the times. read more

Came here for a weekend dinner. Considering the time and day, the service was better than expected. There seemed to be only two servers as one called out that night. They were scrambling around, making sure everyone was getting everything they wanted as soon as possible. They were working hard, and they were doing a good job at it. The inside is nice. It screams old, but it didn't feel dirty, just felt old, but at least it was clean. The food was delicious. It is amongst the best Chinese food you can get in the valley. The fried pork chops are a must. If you are eating here, you should definitely try this. The walnut shrimp is decent. Nothing to rave about, very standard. The Chinese broccoli was very solid. Solid in the sense of being still hard. It was cooked, but could have been cooked longer to soften it up a little more. It was solid, as in solidly crunchy. The Mushu is not something familiar with me, but it was decent. I would call it a Chinese burrito. The chopped steak plate was too salty. It would require lots of rice. The fried rice was different. It doesn't resemble any other rice I've ever had. The flavor was unique. It did not have a noticeable wok char neither. Not something I would order again. The orange beef was awesome. It was fried perfectly. The sauce on it did not make the frying go away neither, it stayed crunchy through our dinner. Definitely something to order and try too! The fried calamari was good, but nearly the same as other Chinese food restaurants. There were a few other dishes too, but nothing seemed to scream out too much other than the fried pork chop being so perfect! If you are nearby, definitely give this place a try. It is a hidden gem of the valley. There is plenty of parking, as parking is shared with Vons and CVS, but parking in front of it might be hard as it is on a small strip. read more

This place has been around forever and I've never tried it until I came for a family dinner. I was pleasantly surprised - the food was good! My favorites were the orange beef, the pork chop, calamari, the egg roll, and the mushu. The chow fun was just ok as there was no wok char. My least favorite was the fried rice and the pepper beef - this was wayyy too salty. They were busy so the service was pretty much nonexistent. January 2026 I got my order to go, barbecue pork fried rice and sweet and pungent shrimp. The portion size on the barbecue pork fried rice is really good, really large. The rice was cooked perfect, the flavor is definitely there. I would get this dish again. The sweet and pungent shrimp was okay I suppose. Way too much sugary sauce if you ask me. Also, they do use smaller size shrimp then some other places in the area. I do like the fact that they do include broccoli with the order. I believe the amount/quantity of Shrimp portion size is just a tad smaller than what I would have liked. I'm not sure if I would order this dish again though. Maybe the experience is a little bit better in person. Please keep in mind, this was a to-go order that I got. Parking is plentiful, even though it's on Reseda and Ventura Boulevard basically. There is a free parking lot that you can park in. If you come for lunch during the week, it's definitely busy, so be prepared to park maybe a little bit further away than you'd like to. Overall, for takeout, this place was pretty good. I have to try this place in person another time when I have more time. But all in all, I would definitely give it another try. read more

We were looking for traditional Chinese in the SFV. This place seemed reasonable based on the past reviews. To our surprise the staff were warm, funny and engaging. The menu was full of the regular stuff and we asked what stood out? Our server said the Crispy Spicy Pork Chops was her go too. They were amazing in flavor. The cilantro and sliced peppers took it to flavor town! The BBQ pork ribs were also outstanding. We quickly hit full and took home the chow fun and 1/2 of the string grand (light, crunchy and delicious)... my new GF and I had fun, food was great and the atmosphere is what you make of it. I'm used to higher-end Chinese food in the Northridge/Granada Hills area like CHIS Chinese and decided to give this place to try for dinner last night. The orange chicken was very good, the Mongolian beef had zero flavor, the chow mein also had zero flavor. The service was bad from the beginning. We walked in and no hi or will be right with you just cold stairs from the staff. We had to seat ourselfs before they asked us to more to a smaller table. The waiter was rude and rushing us. The appetizers were ok we got pot stickers and bbq pork. But the main entrees had no flavor and they had the same bland taste. We showed up 10 minutes early and Mrs. Personality asked me for my phone number. I gave it to her and she said "food not ready I call you when ready" so I sat back and watched troves of people come and go. After waiting 30 minutes I walked up to another woman and gave her my number. She screamed at Mrs. Personality and said my order was sitting there. One of my favorite restaurants probably because it was our go to family dinner spot with my Dad. He was a serious regular there and he managed to get them to offer brown rice in their menu as a healthy option. The staff is always very attentive. The restaurant has booths, tables for two and round tables for large parties and a lazy susan in the middle. My favorite dishes are the tangerine chicken, sautéed green beans, walnut shrimp, chicken chow fun and egg drop soup. Super Wok is a local go-to for Chinese take-out. The restaurant, if you were to dine in, is as old school as they come, and you'll feel like you're inside a retro NYC Chinese storefront cafe from around 1972 -- but whatever sense of being left behind you may feel is quickly counterbalanced by the friendly service from a gracious and attentive waitstaff. While all the people at the restaurant are kind and good-natured through and through, the food itself is very hit and miss... though I must clarify: the food is never bad, no, not at all. But Super Wok is dedicated to serving traditional Chinese fare in recipes that are healthier than those you'd find at a standard Chinatown hole-in-the-wall (the places with the very best food, for sure), and the battle between these two goals sometimes leads to dishes that don't fully satisfy. Sezchuan won-tons are a good example of a swing and a miss. The dumplings are nicely made and their filling has some good flavor. But, instead of being served in an authentic Sezchuan spicy sauce, these won-tons are bathed in a "sauce" seemingly made from the broth of a Sweet & Sour Soup that's been thickened with corn starch. The flavor of said soup is so specific and identifiable that it's impossible to not feel as if someone in the kitchen is cheating. Fried rice is packed with fresh veggies, but the dish is still somehow blander than a kid from NYC would expect (or want). On the flip side, as a main dish, the Salt & Pepper pork chops fully rose to the occasion, offering loads of flavor and a darned-near-perfect cook on the meat. Virtually every Chinese restaurant in the greater Los Angeles area serves a variation of this dish to varying degrees of success -- and while I can't spend my days trying them all for Kudos to all the creators working hard in the kitchen to make something truly attention-grabbing -- but you've gotta go for it a bit more... jettison the nay-sayers, and make sure you know what everyone is doing behind your back. And make sure that you don't trade flavor for a mere modicum of perceived "clean cooking." I've ordered from Super Wok many times before, and overall I really like what I get. First off, the portions are large - they're very generous and I've never felt like I didn't get enough food for my money. The quality is consistently good. My go-to dishes are always tasty and prepared well. The flavors are solid and the food arrives hot when I order delivery. Occasionally there are minor inconsistencies - sometimes a dish might be a bit saltier or the vegetables not as crisp - but nothing major that would stop me from ordering again. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes you get. Super Wok is a reliable choice when I'm craving Chinese food. Definitely recommend giving them a try! read more

The entrees are pretty good but I do not recommend ordering the dinner specials. I would prefer to just get the entrees because the sides (egg roll, soup and paper wrapped chicken) did not seem worth it. The soups were in a small cup and the flavor was strange (super sour and salty) but it was manageable to slurp. The egg roll was simple and had just lettuce inside it felt like. When you unwrap the paper-wrapped chicken from the super hot aluminum foil (very interesting display), it did not even seem like real meat. Some pieces of chicken got stuck to the foil too and it looked super unappetizing and off-putting. (See photos attached). My girlfriend didn't even want to eat it. I still ate it but I felt weird chewing it because it was a mashed/moist clump of shredded chicken.. So those are the special sides that come with their dinner specials. Nonetheless, the entrees were delicious and grand to our taste buds. We picked the Fish Filet with Black Bean sauce and the Shrimp with Broccoli entrees. Both were nicely cooked with warm creamy sauce that complimented the meat super well. Our server was also very blunt and didn't really have customer service when he tended to us. The inside of the restaurant was cozy and we could see other staff being very hardworking. Some lady that smoked outside and loitered in the area kept on coming in and out to use the restroom our entire experience, but other than that.. the parking lot is big and easy to park in. In conclusion, it's better to just order entrees here and not get the sides they offer in their dinner specials. read more

This is our neighborhood Chinese restaurant so yes we frequently order to go here sometimes also dine in but mainly go here if we're having one of those nights that no one wants to cook or just to lazy to decide on anything. I would say serving for Togo may not be as generous as other cheaper Chinese places but their food is fresh and it looks like their back area is clean. Ladies who take the orders are efficient. One of the other favorite orders I make is their Chicken egg roll - you get half tray 24 pieces and their eggs rolls are bigger not small so as a starter it is a good addition for potluck for holiday parties. Every time I bring it other party guests always ask where I got it. This half tray of 24 pieces I always add 1 order of 4 so it comes out as 28 pieces costs about $50. read more

So, to begin with, I never wrote a restaurant review on Yelp, but after tonight's experience, I thought I need to. I ordered from this place many times before, and was generally happy with them, even though what I am about to say happened at least once before (may be a year ago, but I let it go back then). Tonight I ordered a Combination Fried Rice, and found the shrimp in there to be moldy-tasting. The bad smell and taste had spread all over the rest of the rice. So I called to get my money back or at least a store credit for next time, was on the phone for 15 minutes with 3 (!) different managers, and was basically told I must be wrong, as they sample their food several times a day... I finally let it go; again. Already spoiled my dinner, then the additional time on the phone, it's Just not worth it for the 12 bucks or so it cost. I'll just never order from them ever again. But I would just caution everyone about ordering shrimp or seafood from them. read more

Hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant--my family and I have been coming here for over 10 years and it never disappoints! They don't use MSG, but the flavor is so good you'd never know. Everything on the menu hits, but if you love garlic, the calamari is a must. The beef in the broccoli beef is always super tender and full of flavor. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything here.
