Scratched my iPhone screen so i decided to get it replaced under applecare+. SuperCru was in my area, and had an appointment for the next morning @ 940Am. When I arrived, i was greeted by a woman. She then walked me through how it works, and ran several diagnostics on my phone. I asked what time it would be done, she said it would not take long at all. I mentioned that i needed it by 2PM, she said it would be by noon. It was about 945 when i left them to replace the screen. Day goes on...... Its 205p and I arrive at SuperCru. There is a large gentleman helping another customer. He greeted me and told me he would be right with me. The woman that helped me in the morning was coming from the backroom, saw-me, and immediately walked up to the other employee and whispered to him. Then went right back into an office and closed the door. The male employee then said my phone was not complete, and i needed to wait another 30-45 minutes. At this point i asked why the original quoted time was not met. I was told its because they have other customers. (Understood). I have a schedule to adhere to, so i said it was unacceptable. By this time, im annoyed. He states that they are "Almost" finished with it......... 10 minutes later, still working on it. At this point my schedule is screwed. I then asked for my phone back. He didn't want to give it to me. Then i said again that i wanted my phone back, in any condition and that id go to a real apple store. He went into the back and got my phone. I walked out and will never return to that business. Note, my screen was not replaced. IT was not warmed (in order to remove the screen) - THEY FORGOT TO WORK ON MY PHONE! Horrible customer service. Not happy with this company. Back in 2022 I sent my Mac Desktop there to see what I could recover. They were very quick to tell me it wouldn't be that long to get stuff put on the thumb drive but then after several attempts to get my computer or even my recovered data they would not return my phone calls. I left several voicemails and called multiple times. So I was left with no desktop and no recovered data!!! read more

Scammers The store must be closed temporarily or permanently. Last review was 11 months ago. The voicemail says, "normal hours are 8a to 5p". I have been there three times in the last three weeks at different times in the afternoon. All three times the door has been locked and all the lights out.I have called three times, left two messages, and no one picks up. I paid $299.99 for a new SSD in October 2019. It lasted 2 yrs and 9 months. I don't know what brand of drive they used, but an SSD drive should last 7-10 years according to all the sites I researched. I use my computer often and heavily for the first drive and it lasted only 5 years. After the Super Crü repair, I got an old iMac to use for online streaming and movie watching. That cut my usage down by 75% at least. Keeping in mind that the HDD in my last MacBook Pro lasted eight years, how did this drive last 2 yrs 9 months and I used it 75% less! Also, from the day I got it from Super Crü it started up twice in order to boot up. I assumed that was normal for an aftermarket SSD. I am a medical student and I had already taken a pretty heavy hit because of the repair time with my GPA. I could not afford to bring it back and have them keep it for another week. It needed to be fixed right the first time which clearly it didn't get fixed right the first time. I feel scammed and the lack of response says it all. I suspect they charged me $299.99 for a low quality drive to make a larger profit. It's also a point that they are no longer a Certified Apple Service Provider according to Apple Support They were in 2019. I just had it looked at by Apple Xchange and he said that 2yrs 9 months is too short of a service life. read more

WOW, I am so happy I came here for help with my Apple iPhone! I live in Tempe and this place was so conveniently located! The store is located on University and S Lincoln Lane. I was able to easily make an appointment from home online. I arrived a lit bit earlier and was attended to within minutes. I had the pleasure of being helped by Brian, who was just so knowledgable, kind, and personable! He was very honest and straightforward about what we was going to need to do and cost. I came in early for my appointment. The front desk associate did not acknowledge me at all because they were wrapped up in conversation for far too long. I was finally checked in Brian told me to wait as he helped a white family who arrived 15 minutes after me. When he finally came around to help me he spoke to me for less than 5 minutes before returning to his caucasian customers. He did not even take the time to LOOK at my phone let alone properly diagnose it, but he did suggest that I come back later. The treatment was terrible from the second I stepped my foot into the door. I can promise you that if you are a woman of color these people will jump through fire to make sure everyone else is settled for before you are. When I came back a second time the receptionist finally found the time to speak with me and even diagnose my phone. She did the absolute bare minimum which is more than the rest of the people employed here did including Brian. 12/10 Never recommending or returning. read more

I dropped off my MacBook Pro for repair and was told they would need to send it in to Apple for the repair. They told me the charge would be somewhere between $500 and $1500 and the would contact me and let me know what the quote was and if I wanted to proceed with the repair. I was never contacted and just received a bill for the top of the quote. I stopped in to discuss why I was never contacted to approve or not approve the repair and waited for over an hour and never had anyone take the ten minutes out to talk with me. I called twice and each time they said they are just to busy to talk about this. I emailed them and tried to set up a time to talk to the manager and he never did call me. They still have my computer and I can't get anyone to discuss why I was never allowed to approve the quote. STAY AWAY. read more

Supercru was recommended to us by an Apple store employee because I guess Apple doesn't like dealing with computers after a certain age? Our iMac is about 6 yrs old, the hard drive went out a year or two ago, and we had just been putting off the repair, thinking it would be a costly pain. Supercru made the repair and recovery process quick, easy and affordable AND they updated everything that needed updating. Took my Apple computer there thinking the ram needs to be replaced because that is what I was told but after a few days I got a call back that my computer is ready to be picked up and my ram is fine. I don't know what they did but my computer is working again and they only charged me for the diagnostic fee. read more

I first heard about SuperCru from an Apple store employee when I was considering replacing my old iMac, which had really started to drag. The Apple store guy suggested taking it to SuperCru and having them put in an SSD instead. Before I decided to do it, the hard drive crashed. I took it to SuperCru, and they replaced the hard drive with an SSD. The work was done quickly, they were great about keeping me updated, and the price was reasonable. I thought my mac hard drive had crashed and my world was over. I was recommended by an apple employee to go to Supercru in order to get my data recovered. After doing my research, Supercru was so much cheaper compared to every other option. They also were very quick. My data was recovered within 3 days of dropping it off. They even worked with me on the price since the problem with my laptop ended up being something entirely different than the hard drive (which was what apple had told me originally). SuperCru was recommended to me by my local Apple store since I too had an iMac that was considered "Vintage" according to mac. After a $45.00 diagnostic fee I was told that my hard drive was bad and it would be about $250.00 or so get it replaced. I came home, downloaded the latest OS and after installing it; it led me to time time machine backup. I restored my iMac from a previous backup, ran time machine again, erased my drive, reinstalled the new OS again and things are working as good as day one. SO! Personally after reading a review such as this I would have to ask myself two questions before going to SuperCru again. "Do I have $45.00 to throw away and do they they really know what they are talking about?" Personally I think it would be easier for any tech to swap a hard drive and install an OS rather then troubleshooting and fixing software issue(s). I don't think I'd recommend SuperCru to anyone and I know and I know I won't be using them again. If it was possible to give them a review of -5 I probably would have. read more
