Walked in on a Sunday. Didn't call in advance for a reservation. There were five people working there. I was told by the guy at the cash register that it would take 20 minutes. After an hour and ten (ONE HOUR AND TEN MINUTES) OF WAITING I went to the front desk and mentioned this. After several more minutes I was finally given my haircut. I got my hair washed, and it was still damp. The woman used the blow dryer for (really) less than 15 seconds---so I asked her to use it more. Let's not forget the water used during the wash was COLD during the first rinse to get my hair wet. I didn't want to risk scalding water by suggesting it was too cold!!! She told me that I had been "told that the wait would be an hour" when I arrived. Had this been the case, I would have walked back home, so NO, that is a myth (aka a lie pulled from thin air). I've had my hair cut there many times for many years--but THIS WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. read more

Ive been going to this place for years, never an issue. I walk in today with my nephew, was asked if i had an appointment, i said i do not. Was asked how many haircuts, i said two. Was told ok, then another employee says something to the person we were talking to about 1230, it was 1210 at the time. I said "if u can only do one, thats fine, just cut his". They take our temperature, then ask how many cuts again, i said "if u only have time for both then two, but if u only have time for one, just cut his thats fine". Then the other employee tells the lady i was speaking to that i would have to wait outside. I told them "hes 5 years old, there is no way hes gonna let a complete stranger approach him with scissors and clippers". They just stared at me. At this point i told them "u know what, ill just go somewhere else cause this is just ridiculous". They just stood there didnt say a word so i walked out. My husband used to pay $70 + for his haircuts in Beverly Hills. At my urging he FINALLY tried Supercuts. Good thing! His cuts look as good or better now than the expensive ones he used to get. Because he had such great results, I decided to try them too. But I don't come for cuts; I come for color! I'm growing my hair out so all I need is the teeniest trim from time to time. For color, I used to pay up to $200 a month in Beverly Hills, just to keep my roots done. Now I breeze in and out at this Supercuts location and Elijah does my roots. My color looks great and all I pay is $45 plus tip! Very happy! It's not high end, but who cares when your hair looks good. Why overpay??? I highly recommend them. I typically try not to give bad reviews, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. But two for two, Roxanne has been an aggressive, rude know it all. I brought my son here twice for haircuts. He is three, he finds them nerve-wracking. He is sensory sensitive and frightened by loud noises. The first time she lectured me as I stood near him assuring him telling me to move away from him and lecturing me about my parenting. She told me several times she worked as a preschool teacher (really, because I would have pulled my son from her class with that attitude). His hairdresser had no problem with me standing near him and comforting him. Roxanne amed me and made me uncomfortable. Today, she tried getting in my business again when I had a show on for him on my phone. It was a useful tool of distraction to keep him from freaking out. This time I let her know her opinion was not welcome so she spent the rest of the time staring at me while washing another client's hair. Again she made me extremely uncomfortable. Also, she ran after a group of young men who left the shop without making sure the door was closed and yelled at them. Then she proceeded to watch them cross the street and brought to everyone's attention in the shop how they were ISRAELI and Jay walking. I will not be coming to this place again. read more

I took my two boys (3 & 5) there for a haircut on Monday. My boys had to pee so my husband took them both to the bathroom. Being toddler boys they can be playful, so they were being loud and playing in the bathroom. One of the stylists, an older lady, kept making comments about them being loud in the bathroom and if they were alone. So I assured her that my husband was with them. They came out and it was my sons turn to sit for his haircut. Then the older lady kept making comments on how my boys got the bathroom dirty and how either they need to clean it up or mom should. I ignored the comment thinking she was joking. After a few minutes, the front desk girl who also cleaned the store and sweeps the hair, came up to me and tried to hand me the broom and said that my boys made a mess and put paper napkins on the bathroom floor and that I (a paying customer) should go and clean the bathroom. I was in state of shock. I asked my husband if they had made a mess and put paper napkins everywhere and he said no and that they were only playing with each other and sprayed the air freshener. I couldn't believe when they asked a customer to clean the bathroom. Highly unprofessional and straight out rude. Never going back there again and telling everyone I know not to either. I took my husband and nephew here. When i say took them i mean i need to stand there and be very specific with the stylist otherwise my husband would just buzz his head to a 0, as that would allow for the longest intervals between haircuts. My nephew has very difficult thick curly hair (he gets it from me) and lets be honest here supercuts isn't exactly where the most highly skilled stylists work. Anyway, as i was describing to Roxy what I wanted, and pointing out the several cowlicks on my nephews head to ensure that she doesn't cut too short, she told me that i need to sit down and gave me some serious attitude. She made me incredibly uncomfortable and i found her to be unprofessional and inappropriate. My husband and I were both unsatisfied with his haircut but I was too uncomfortable to say anything, I didn't want to start a fight. And on top of that my husband asked for a shampoo which she graciously did for him conveniently failing to mention that it costs extra. Not going back here, even if it is up the block from my house. I will never come here again. The friend of my friend recommended this place, so I decided to come. Wait was not that long, as promised 30-40 minutes. I asked the receptionist how much approximately it will be, I wanted highlights, cut and full color. She said highlights - 40 and up, color too and cut 18. So I asked how much is altogether and if color included in highlights. She said 68 or more. So I assumed maybe 20-30 more. I looked at the books so I can show the haircut I like to the stylist. Well, if you expect a cut exact as a picture, you will be disappointed. I pointed at two pictures, one just had more layers as I wanted other the length, did not get either. Sloppy and simple haircut, she did not spend much time doing. I came at 2:15, about 3:45 she went to mix my color, it took about 15 minutes, so I started to worry that it will take long, I had to go and pick up my son at 6. I asked her if I will be out of there by 5. She said yes. Guess what? I was late to pick him up at 6!!!!! Long story short, it was super painful (I did not want to complain, but if you see your client suffering, should not you be more careful?). At 5 I was with my first color and nowhere to be done. At 5:40 finally wash was over and she put me in the chair as I thought to dry. I was mistaken. She dried small part of my hair and asked me if I like it or we can apply it one more time. I said that even if I wanted to, I could not do it, because I'm super late already (I expected to be done at 5! Silly me, it's just my first time, so I did not know what to expect). So I expect her to dry my hair, but she said we are done. But my hair is wet and dripping!. "we charge for dry" was the reply. Before color was applied she told me it's gonna be $125. Out of my budget, but I decided to try it anyway. Guess how much it was at the register... 150!!!!!!!!!!!! And they could not even dry my hair after dying and shampoo!!!!! I was not expecting fancy blow-dry, just something close to dry head. Isn't supposed to be included anyway? And receptionist asked me how I want to live tips? I was mad, but still did not want to leave without leaving tips, so I left 10%. So I spend $165 and they left me with dripping hair.! And when I got to the car and looked at my face in the mirror, I found dye on my cheek, that I am desperately trying to get rid of right now. Never going to any salon any time soon! read more

We were told 40 minutes based on the people waiting, but what we were NOT told is that while they do not take reservations, they allow people to come in, place their name on a wait list and come back later. Long story short, we waits 1:45 to get the haircut. People kept coming in who had earlier come in to put their name down. Then, while 8 of us were waiting, they decided to downsize to 2 technicians rather than 3. I will never be returning to this location. I made a reservation online and even showed up early. 30 minutes went by and they kept calling other walk-ins for cuts that arrived after me. Turns out one of the stylists called the wrong name and completely bypassed me. Thank you for letting me know. At least I got to see what horrible trims they were given before I left and one poor woman had her scalp burned twice by a hair dryer and almost fell out of her chair. Told I would eventually be next with a certain hair cutter. Staff could not explain why the wait was so much longer than they told me, or what advantage I got by calling in advance.
