I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment, yet despite the salon being completely empty, I was still made to wait another 10 minutes. When I finally sat down, I requested layers, only to be told that blending my short ends was "impossible" and that a pixie cut was my only option--something I never asked for. The stylist seemed completely uninterested in giving me a haircut, making me feel like I was being pushed out rather than accommodated. In the end, I left without getting any service. I have thinning hair on top and have always gotten layers with neck-length hair, so hearing that it "couldn't be done" was both frustrating and confusing. As someone who has been going to Supercuts for many years, this experience was deeply disappointing and unprofessional. I will not be returning. read more

What's the point of a reservation? Had one for 3:40. I made sure to be there at 3:35 because I respect their time. It's not mutual. I arrived and was told they'd be right with me. By 4:05 I gave up. Both stylists were with clients and clearly not close to finishing. I understand running behind. My issue is that by 3:35 it should have been made clear, I was in for a wait. No communication is frustrating. I'll stick to the local privately owned barber shops in Carlsbad and Oceanside. Service is not a priority at most Supercuts. read more

Got my about here asking for an inch off. The front hair is no shorter than the middle, and the stylist did not allow me to look at the mirror as I was only able to see the final product. Looks terrible, and the tip options at lowest was 10 dollars for a 29 dollar haircut. Do not go here. read more

Low rating because I called in ahead of time today to get a bang trim and the person that took me had extremely short hair and she was very negative & kept trying to pass me up other stylist who was trying to close shop. She knows how to cut men's hair, I saw her do a good job...but she doubts her self with a woman's haircut. Beware while I was waiting for my turn I heard her talking to the other hairstylist about how she gave another stylist her client because she didn't know how to deal with it and then once came to my turn, she didn't know how to cut my bangs either and when I tried telling her that the other stylist knows where to part my bangs ,can she show you? she called the Stylist over and told her that i wanted her to cut my bangs instead. ....She put words in my mouth and I stopped her and I told her I didn't say that I didn't say I didn't want you to cut my bangs. She's a liar she's lazy , she's manipulative. if she doesn't know how to do women's hair she should just be straightforward with the client, instead of making you feel guilty. 5 stars for Katie. She usually does my bangs and she was trying to show this stylist where to cut and instead of taking recommendations or instructions this other stylist was trying to manipulate her into cutting my bangs!!! " no , it's not fair."Katie tried to take over but I told the other stylist that I wasn't going to do this to Katie, and that "I'll come back". I'm upset that this new stylist wasted my time! Have been here multiple times over the last year and had great experiences. Unfortunately this last time with Holly left me very disappointed. She did not use the same color on my hair so now grays are showing through after only 2 weeks. Holly was also very unprofessional and kept talking loudly to her coworker directly into my ear. She also was very rough and kept pulling my hair hard and hitting my ears with her scissors. She did not listen to me about how I like to style my hair so the cut was off since I part my hair down the middle. I had the services done before I went to work that day and expected a fully styled head of hair. She was lazy and didn't even dry my hair, much lesss style it. I love Supercuts and have been going since I was a kid. This location is definitely under staffed. Forget about walking in instead of making an appointment. Aside from that, I walked in with one employee working and three customers waiting. She was on a personal call for 10 minutes so I walked out. I don't have much hair left, so the only reason I go is to get my neckline done. Every time I come in I am asked my phone number and full name. However, I really don't want to give out that information for a ten dollar neckline trim. it may be old school of me but I don't think a hair cutting place needs that information to do a five minute trim. Usually I'll give me first name and the stylist is cool with it. Then I encountered Kaylee, an over zealous receptionist who outright refused me service because I wouldn't give her my last name and phone number. I have a multitude of other options for the future, but Supercuts will never again be one of them! read more

The haircut was fine, my issue is this location does not accept the Supercuts subscription. So after my 5-minute haircut I was hit with a surprise bill of $29 plus tip. I had no idea this wasn't something honored by all Supercuts and honestly the brand should make all locations honor it since the subscription is the literal only reason I go to Supercuts. I feel like if your specific franchise location doesn't do the thing that's the focus of almost all marketing by the brand then you should mention that upfront or have a sign. I definitely would not have gotten my haircut here had I known that. read more

This review is for Jay. The other stylist recommended her for my Pixie cut. I was told she's awesome at texturized short hair and she didn't disappoint! I was a bit nervous being new to the area and the fact that not everyone can cut an awesome pixie and get it but she did! She understood exactly what I wanted and I've now gone back to her twice and left very happy! I bring a photo and she takes her time looking at it to fully understand what I like. Ladies if you need an awesome pixie cut for an amazing price Jay is the girl to see! She is also very sweet and easy to talk to. Pixies can get very pricey as you need to come in often for trims, I feel very lucky to have found Jay and will always go to her for my hair. Thanks Jay!! Updated Friday, October 16, 2018~ I'm sorry to say that Jay(Jessica) has switched Super Cuts locations! The good news is that she is in Irvine off Barranca in the Woodbridge location, that is an hour from me in La Costa and I can say she is absolutely worth that drive! Especially if you have a Pixie because I have yet to find someone who listens, takes their time and knows exactly how to cut my hair the way I like it! Not to mention the price for a cut is amazing and she is a joy to talk with. I really don't find it necessary to pay over $100 for a cut when I have found someone like Jay/Jessica to do my hair! She was super nice and understanding and assured she would train the girl who botched my hair so it wouldn't happen to anyone else. I didn't feel like spending a lot of money on my haircut, so I went here for the first time. I checked the mobile app and it said that there was no wait time. I am only ten minutes away, and when I get there, the manager said there is an hour wait. Say what? I told her that the mobile app said no wait time, and she said that it is not reliable. Super. So I walked around the Village and killed some time. Caitlin cut my hair. I got a blunt cut. She was pleasant, but cut my hair unevenly I realized when I got home. One side is longer than the other. As I am going out of town for a few days I can't get it fixed right away. Great. My advice: go elsewhere for a haircut that doesn't suck. read more

I love this location! All the ladies here are so friendly and do a great job. If you're looking for an undercut you HAVE to ask for Tess, she's the best!!! She just did this design for me and I love it! I like to make an appointment ahead of time, but walk ins are welcome here too. In addition to cuts, they also offer hair coloring and a small selection of haircare products. This is the only place I go for a cut or new design. 2 for 2, overbooked with only one hairdresser working. 3 people ahead of me. This is the only supercuts that's understaffed ALL THE TIME pushing waiting times to over 40 mins, what is the point of calling in to set a time if the staff is not equipped to handle the load. I actually had to leave after spending 30 mins waiting with 2 more people turning up who were going to have to wait to be behind me! Not good customer service to make someone leave and come back later on in 3 hours when someone else starts. Customers service is not difficult, either is staff management. read more

I live in proximity to this Supercuts so after having read the reviews I decided to give this establishment a try. When I entered the salon, I was politely greeted and didn't have more than a five minute wait. Tess gave me a haircut, and I was pleased with the result. She listened carefully to my preferences and followed through flawlessly. That was my first Supercuts experience. After four months, I needed another cut and was greeted by Sam. Again, my experience was ideal. She exceeded my expectations! Honestly, I have paid much more for haircuts yet both outcomes here were commensurate with the more costly ones.
