Plenty of free self parking in the shopping plaza, but the closest ones are always taken by the Starbucks customers. Venue 4 stars: Medium sized, modern and nicely appointed salon specializing in cuts and color. I walked in and had to wait about 15 minutes, but I believe you can book ahead on line or by calling in. The do have a small wait area of about 6-8 seats. Service 4 stars: Staff were polite, helful and friendly. This was my first visit and the person who greeted me was also the one who cut my hair. She did a good job! Prices 4 stars: About what you'd expect from a mainstream hair salon such as Supercuts and Fantastic Sams. My husband came here as his barber in the valley wasn't available . The first time the girl really chopped his hair , there was no fade at all even in the layers . He came a second time and another stylist did a much better job , so it depends on the experience of the stylist - hit or miss . read more

We got an appointment 45 minutes from calling on a Sunday. Emily cut my toddler son's hair and was super patient with his crying. I never felt like he was being judged or annoying. I swear he's usually quite relaxed about haircuts but for some reason a bit more difficult today. The haircut looks fine and we got out of there on under 30 minutes. My boyfriend has had positive experiences with Supercuts in the past, but this location completely failed him. He came in wanting a very simple haircut (shown below). He wanted the sides a LITTLE trimmed, along with an overall cleanup. I don't know her name, but his hairdresser clearly had minimal to no experience and he somehow left with a badly done, uneven mullet. His hairdresser was very nice, but unfortunately seemed frazzled and confused by what he asked for and needed her coworkers to step in multiple times to assist her. I'm not sure how such a simple haircut got messed up so badly, but unfortunately it did. I really encourage this Supercuts location to better train and prepare their employees before putting them out on the floor. My daughter had a haircut here that she absolutely loved five months ago, but we forgot the name of the stylist. I logged into my acct and found the exact date and visit info, but the stylist name was not listed. I called the salon to give a description of her in hopes someone would know who I was referring to. Jessica answered the phone and told me that nobody there matched my description. I asked her if she could pull up my acct since my previous visit WAS recorded in the system. She told me that her computer was not pulling up anything despite me looking right at it on my end. I asked her if we could just come to the salon to see if she might be working that day. She told me they were all booked up for the day (despite there being 4 hours till closing) and that I was basically wasting my time. We were going to the salon the next day, but my daughter suggested we just bring the pic she took of hair from the visit 5 months ago to a different salon where the employees would be nicer and more accommodating. So that is exactly what we did. We found a very friendly and talented stylist at a different company who did an absolutely beautiful job cutting her hair. Only go if you are confident enough to ask questions. The manager/stylist has a vibe unlike I have ever seen. If SuperCuts wants to charge regular hair salon prices its manager needs to be a bit more professional. Also if anyone knows how I can contact the regional manager, that would be appreciated. I believe her name is Jessica with the green hair. I had 1 other experience with her. I made an appointment and I was 5 min late. She told me she wouldn't honor my appointment and I would have to come back another day. I usually have to wait 5 min or more past my appointment time when I do make it on time. I left upset that day and went down the street to a different Supercuts. Obviously she holds a resentment. I went in again recently and unfortunately Jessica was there and step in front of the other stylists that were available to take my appointment. She asked what I would like. I told her a #7 on the sides , scissors/ trim on top. She said she doesn't have a #7. I asked if another stylist next to her did. She then said Supercuts has a policy that they can't do anything above a #6. Really? I told her I always get #7. She said she is the manager and she will talk to the other stylists and reprimand them to never do it again. I let her do the #6 on the sides and she hacked the top with scissors. Lol. I paid her gave her my normal $10 dollar tip I give all the Stylists and went to the Supercuts down the street again to have a stylist there fix it.lol. At the very least Jessica should be the one reprimanded or better yet fired completely. read more

I just needed a basic trim for my long hair, and this did the trick. I called in ahead of time to make sure I could get in without a wait. There was only one lady in charge of ringing people up and cutting my hair so she had a pause a couple of times to assist some customers to buy some products. if you don't mind that, and you have the time, definitely come in here to save some money.! read more

I went to Supercuts this morning to get my son's hair cut around 10:20am, I noticed hair on the seats for the guest a behind the seat there's a little there's shelf against the wall and there was hair all over that as well, then I go to pay there was hair all over the counter as well. I said something to the lady that cut my son's hair and she had a little attitude and told me it's been busy all morning. I want to school for cosmetology I know how stuff is supposed to be done and she telling me that's been busy all morning at 11am and they've only been open, 2 hours, that's ridiculous. There's plenty of time to wipe up and clean up between guess, I've never had an issue there before and I and I haven't had a worker give me attitude until today on top of it my son had hair on his face and neck, it look like she didn't wipe him off even though I know she did she just did a bad job. I went over my sons hair when we got home and let's just say I had to fix a few issues, the works name is April, I will never have her cut my sons hair again and she really needs to fix her attitude as well read more

I really don't have a lot to say except for that Vanessa is the best. It's a typical Supercuts they keep it pretty clean and the staff is very friendly but I would only go to Vanessa if I was there. She does try to schedule appointments and she sticks to the schedule for the most part unless you're late. She's usually booked all day every day so don't be late you might lose your spot. Parking is super easy and there's food around it so you can always eat lunch and then heading to get your haircut or vice versa. Also you're not going to get the experience of some high-end salon but he is $17 for a solid haircut I'll take it. I get my day job done elsewhere and pay a bit more for those but hey I don't think I ever want to go to anyone else for my haircuts. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. This place is always busy i'll give them that. This Is the last time I'll be going here. I walked in without an appointment I was told to leave my name and was told to come back within an hour for an open spot. So I grabbed lunch and went shopping. I came back a hour later and I was told to take a seat. No problem right! Then a family of four walked in three boys in a dad the stylist immediately said did you have an appointment to them they shook their head no. The stylist then said have a seat will be with you in a few minutes. Next two of the three boys were taken in front of me for a haircut then followed by the father. At this time I stood up and asked one of the stylist how much longer it's going to be for my appointment. With one of the rudest tone that I've ever heard from a employee let alone a (Lady) she said it's going to be another hour if you want to wait still. I then got upset and asked her why the three gentleman who walked in we're just taken in front of me she said they had an appointment which was a complete lie. Zero stars. Avoid this place and especially Charmel at all costs. I should have listened to the other reviews here. Went in for a simple trim, straight, no layers, nothing fancy. No way they could mess that up, right? WRONG. I waited 15 minutes for a chair to open up. When it was my turn, it took CHARMEL 6 minutes just to figure out how to spell my name correctly (worse than Starbucks). When that was finally resolved, I went to the chair that still had pieces of hair on it from the previous customer. I told the "stylist", Charmel, that I just wanted a simple trim, straight across. She Asked me if I wanted a shampoo, I said no. She said it would "take too long" to wet my hair with a spray bottle so she just took her scissors and started cutting my dry, wavy hair. I'm not a hair stylist, but I'm pretty sure you can't get a straight cut on dry hair. At first, she seemed nice and started making small talk. Then she started commenting about how she thought I was "low maintenance" (which she thought was a compliment) and gave me unsolicited advice about my gray hairs. She tilted my head in different angles so many times. Not once did she bring all my hair to the back to check if it was even. Didn't compare the length to the back so I'm not surprised with the end result. Then she said she wanted to "blend my ends." I told her I didn't want layers, just a simple straight cut (for the 3rd or 4th time). She said she needs to blend the ends again. I said no AGAIN then she said "ok whatever then you're done." After all this, when I was checking out she had the nerve to ask for a tip. She said she would have to add it to my card on her end and asked twice if I wanted to add anything to the $22. I said I'm not adding anything. She said "wow ok" then literally threw my credit card across the counter gave me my receipt and said "Have a great life!" as I walked away. A tip is optional, not mandatory, and are earned for doing a good job. Don't expect a tip if you don't listen to your customers and take shortcuts during the haircut. I have never met a more unprofessional hair "stylist" in my life. I asked for a very basic straight trim and somehow left with a botched haircut. Also, their AC doesn't work and I was sweating in the chair. When I told Charmel I was warm, she didn't seem to apologize for their lack of AC and said I should have taken off my jacket. I've been going to Jessica for the past four or five months and she was great with my short haircut that really didn't need much maintenance. I live in North Hollywood and once a month would go to Porter Ranch for a haircut from Jessica. This month seem to be difficult to pin her down for an appointment . I called the day before and the day of and she wasn't very accommodating so I guess I'll MoveOn. I paid their high prices and I tip well for a basic shape up that takes 10 minutes , but if that wasn't good enough I can move on. I'm either a priority for you or an option and when you start acting like I'm an option it's time to go. I had to take transportation to this location and you have to make arrangements a day in advance, and when I did that she told me to call the day of at 9:30 and I called at 9:40 and she then told me the times I wanted were all booked up after I made my reservation to get there for 11 o'clock or So appointments? At my age I can read negative signs so when I meet people like that who don't say what they mean or mean what they say, I am gone. No one is ever that great!!! read more

My son went to have a haircut. I overheard one of the hair salon person named Christine!!! She is so RUDE to one of the costumes. Regardless who this person is, I believe if you're the customer, we should be listened. Not arguing and believing that she is always right in making a decision to the customer. I love this location! Christine cut my hair, and having straight baby fine hair, she gave me a precise and perfect cut. She also highlighted my hair and has a very good eye for color. I trust her 100%! I have been going to her for many years and recently she switched locations and you bet I followed her. Prices are also very good compared to about $70 in a boutique salon. Christine is the best for all hair types, and she has fun ideas as she follows trends and knows exactly what's she doing! My high school daughter loves her too! Stopped in for a haircut today, had my small 6lb chiweene with me and was told if she wasn't a service dog she couldn't stay, she would have just sat on my girlfriends lap while I got a cut. Really they cut hair and I guess they were afraid she would get in the way of hair falling all over the floor. Just before I visited supercuts, I was at Starbucks where they serve food and make coffee right there in front of you, and she was welcomed there. Supercuts in Porter Ranch is really good. My 2 sons & I have been going here for years. Although the staff changes periodically there are all really nice. friendly staff that are great for conversation, but more importantly very good hair stylists. Your only issue here is parking in the very overcrowded plaza that it's located it. This location has always been hit or miss for me. There is one lady that always makes sure its perfect. It shouldn't be too hard since I usually just come in and get a fade but they always miss a bunch of hairs (except for that one lady but for the life of me I can't remember her name). My last haircut here was just plain out unacceptable. I had an entire section of my head just plain out missed. I guess its because I have an unusual shaped head with very thick hair so its easy to miss spots. I only realized they missed the spot till after I got home and showered. I had to have someone go over my head again with a pair of scissors. These spots get missed because they usually go over my head really quickly with the clippers and barely backtracking to make sure they got everything. I was pretty pissed because instead of the usual couple of missed hairs it was a whole dang section behind my head. Way too big of a spot for me to fix with a pair of scissors and a mirror. read more

I made a one time appointment here because my normal stylist was on vacation I got there on time ,and waited 30 minutes regardless for my haircut . When I sat down . I had to show this woman named Helen every step of the haircut . She didnt understand when I said I want the sides , and everything evened out . She cut my hair in the most ratchet way . I don't even think she was licensed. I was growing out my hair for 9 months , and because of the ridiculous bad haircut . I had to chop it all off at home and give myself a buzz cut. Definitely won't be returning here . I had the worst experience . Also the atmosphere is so awkward . Just goes back to remind me to NEVER CHEAT ON MY STYLIST AGAIN . Came in to get my layers done. I have long hair and it's always hard to get a lot of layers without having them take a lot off the length. But Gaby made it happen. She listened to exactly what I asked for. She was able to get rid of my dead ends and freshen up and add new layers without taking off too much length. She was super sweet too.
