I couldn't get a hair appt with any other business in Rehoboth on short notice because they all said they book up weeks in advance. Except Supercuts. When I got there the place was empty (!) When I was in the chair I repeated that I wanted a dry cut (because I have very thin hair and it's easy to cut too much when it's wet and you're cutting layers) even though she kept trying to talk me into spraying it down. (No). Then she parted my hair in the center to cut it even though I part it on the side. I explained that if you part it in the center and then cut layers that are even with a center part, when I then part my hair on the side one side will have layers going really high and the other side's layers will start really low, completely uneven. And she said "Well this is how they teach you to cut hair at Supercuts, and I'm not comfortable doing it your way. So do you want me to cut your hair or not?" I was a little taken aback. And I thought for a second (because I really needed a haircut), and then said "No, I don't." And then got up, went home, and had to cut my own hair. So if you're looking for a haircut done with a center part and done one way and one way only, I don't know, maybe you'll be fine going here. But honestly, if you only learned how to cut hair in one specific way with no variations, then you don't really know how to be an effective hairstylist. Some additional classes are in order... In the meantime, I will be booking appointments farther in advance ~ somewhere else. read more

I have been going to Nicole at Supercuts for a number of years now. I have been very happy with every hair style she has crafted for me. I like to change my cut from time to time, experimenting with new looks. Nicole is friendly as are all the stylists at the shop. The prices are very reasonable for the Lewes/Rehoboth area. They have stop ins or you can call beginning on Saturday to schedule for the next week. All-in-all I am very happy I found their shop!! read more

I went about 9:30 am and I was quickly led to a chair which was surprising because the online checking suggested the earliest I could get in was 10:30. This is usually a crowded location and I've had to wait 30 min to an hour to get a haircut. On this particular day, Monday the 24th, I was greeted by a radical feminist and an extreme liberal haircutters. I have nothing against feminist or liberals, this is just how they introduced themselves. They proceeded to converse with me about polarizing and controversial topics from abortion to water pollution. The lady cutting my hair proceeded to quiz me about the Netflix shows I watched. Apparently since I didn't know everything there is to know about the "Get Down", I was wrong. She wanted to know if I liked my kids because she only dates single mothers and they all seem to hate their kids, in her opinion, and she wanted to know why people would have kids if they don't like them. That was the beginning of my uncomfort, because the conversation quickly led to abortion and the other stylist suggesting that you have 6 months to reconsider having the kid. Then they started bashing a pro life demonstration that was apparently being held at the state fair and all the religious groups involved and how Christians should worry about taking care of a life after birth if they care so much about life before birth. Then the conversation led to one of the stylists being sold a water purification system at the aforementioned state fair. She was trying to convince another client that if you take a 15 minute shower it's like drinking a bottle of water and since Delaware's water is so dirty you're absorbing all those toxins. I'm sympathetic to wanting clean water, I have a reverse osmosis hookup in my house. Her facts were just wrong. I tried to explain that the groundwater that comes from her tap is going to be cleaner than the surface water (which in Delaware is very much polluted) and how her epidermis acts as a membrane and any water she absorbs is quickly evaporated after a shower. But I didn't push too hard because these people were in charge of my hair, which at that point wasn't going very well. I ended up looking like a spiked hair butch lesbian. Which I guess is what she has the most practice in and the writing was on the wall as soon as I sat down, so my own fault for staying maybe. I'm not so hard up about my hair, I can go back to cutting it myself. I just wish there was a good place a guy can go to and not get caught up in so many uncomfortable topics. What happened to talking about weather, high school football, or simple subjects when getting a haircut? I'm a millennial and even I long for a simpler time. read more

I think this place is understaffed, but my last 2 visits have convinced me that I won't go back. I'm a fan of other Supercuts, which are known for allowing you to sign in online and then you're "on the list" while you drive to the shop, i.e. no appointments. This place makes it difficult to sign onto the list - sometimes its working, sometimes not and sometimes it asks you to call (but they don't answer). On my last 2 visits including today I signed in online and on arrival was greeted with "do you have an appointment?" (so much for "good morning"). When I told her I thought I had signed in, but wasn't sure the system accepted it, she checked and then said "no, and we don't have anything" - period, the end. Call me crazy but I would have thought she might have asked me to come back later, suggested a time or something, but no. I'm done. read more

I went there for the first time today. The salon was very nice - clean, well lit and the two employees were very welcoming. Teresa cut my hair and she couldn't have been nicer! She did such a great job and even gave me great tips on how to style my hair so I look my best. You know how you 'just know' when someone is cutting your hair and you know it's going to turn out great?! That is Teresa - she is fabulous. I will definitely be back! I came in about 9:15. I was given a hard time trying to get a basic haircut. I was told that I wouldnt be able to get my hair cut because someone had an appt. at 9:30. I was told haircuts were appt only and I had to download the stupid app or call in to make one. Asked about tomorrow and they said same day only. I was basically turned away, even if I wanted to wait, they couldn't guarantee anything. Plus she wanted to spend the 15 min sweeping hair before the appt. Ridiculous. This is a great place to get a basic shampoo and haircut at a very good price. Staff and stylists seem skilled and knowledgeable and friendly. It has become my go to place in southern Delaware those reasons. I know other reviews have been negative about wait times but the ability to check in either by phone or online ahead of time will give you priority when you arrive and my weight times have never been more than 15 or 20 minutes. read more

Arrived here at 10:10 just after they opened. Was told 45 minutes so I went and did something for that time. I came back and was told it would still be a bit and a particular stylist would take me. So I watched 4 people that registered after me be taken back while for some unknown reason I had to wait for this one stylist. I get a clipper cut that takes all of a few minutes. Right at the end another person tried to call me back, but I said I was good. I'm not giving them 17 plus a tip for a 10 minute clipper cut they make me wait on for 2 hours. read more

Well.. this place is awful, I requested a 3 to my part. She proceeded to make it look like a bowl cut. After she asked how long would I like the top of my hair so I replied "to the top of my eyebrows" she followed instructions but my 3 year old could cut a straighter line than she could. I have gone here every 8 weeks for about 3 years and aside from the high volume of customers, they do a nice job. I do recommend signing in online especially in the Summer months, then show up 10-20 minutes after check in time. I don't have a specific stylist so just about everyone has cut my hair and did good work. They were busy and I understood the wait times but I was denied blonde highlights. I was told they stop coloring services @ 3pm but I walked in at 2:40pm... because they close at 5pm. Simply awful ,just cut my hair yesterday. Was a long wait,which is not a problem as long as I get good treatment when I sit down. I am their customer for over two years and never had a problem before. This time I was shocked ,the lady was done with me in less than 5 minutes,no talking and hitting my head the whole time. I felt like I am in jail or military, She missed couple spots ,behind the ears , so my roommate had to finish her job when i got home(very embarrassing and of course they joke with me).
