Where do I even begin? I am so blown away by my fiancée and my service today. The check in process was very easy. Everyone was so kind and it was such a comfortable place. We got all checked in and walked upstairs to the waiting area. We didn't have to wait long until our providers were ready for us. Lori was outstanding and gave my fiancée the best service ever. The haircut was fine but the overall experience was not great. I went here expecting a higher end experience and what I got was something I could have had at a basic barbershop for $20. The site says a haircut includes a 5 minute scalp massage - didn't get that. I didn't even get a wash/condition. I also had to ask the guy cutting my hair to put some product in. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else if you are looking for a nice, salon experience. read more

Manager at bad hair day is extremely out of line. I called to express my concerns with the service that my Mother had. She was not provided with a blow dry, which is typically standard with a hair cut, root touch up or full color as leaving with wet hair can be uncomfortable and no one should be leaving a salon with wet hair, especially in the winter. For a normal blow dry the stylist requested an additional $50 on top of the $90 already charged, which was unexpected as a blow dry should generally be included with such a service. My Mom was caught off guard by this and then was given a hair dryer and was pointed in a direction to go blow dry her own hair. No one asked for a blow out. Simply, a blow dry. The day when this service was provided, my Mom did call the manager who at the time said that the stylist had 50 minutes and she should have blow dried her hair. However, today when my Mom called this man to follow- up on the matter as he did not call back as promised his narrative changed and then began to say that my Mom was "hustling" him and was asking for a free service when she had asked for a refund, gift card or service in exchange for her unpleasant experience that day. When it was mentioned that both the service and interaction was unsatisfactory the man on the phone continued to say how this is not the right fit and how the Salon just isn't the right fit for her. Speaking in place of the customer and saying that something is not the right fit for them when the customer has been a loyal customer for years is not okay to do. Hearing this conversation I decided to take matters into my own hands, considering that we have been loyal customers of bad hair day. When I called and expressed my concerns the manager said that I was "bullying him", I let him know that me expressing my concern for the lack of a blow dry in the winter and the manner in which he was just blaming my Mom over the phone is not bullying and in fact is very much okay in a professional setting if a service that was rendered was not professional, complete, or pleasant. After this statement the man proceeded to say that I am hostile, and in return I told him that he should get a better understanding of how to accept constructive criticism and to listen to his customers thoughts and opinions. He then proceeds to say that I am very judgmental and in return I said that he is very childish. Mind you after this comment he states that now I am labeling, and name calling with a sarcastic "okay", even though he just called me judgmental. I reminded him that he had just labeled me a second prior to me saying that he is acting childish. I then proceeded to ask for his higher up management, and he let me know that there is no one else above him. Multiple times. Then I asked him if he was the owner, and he became silent, and then when I repeated my question he said he is not here. The man would not provide me contact information, and was completely out of line, disrespectful, and the most unprofessional. He does not resolve the matter at hand and does not know how to respond to customer concerns. I responded by encouraging him to be more receptive to constructive criticism, highlighting the necessity for service providers to listen to their customers' perspectives. Our discussion became increasingly unproductive, as I sought to escalate the matter to a higher authority, only to be informed that no one was above him in the management hierarchy. Throughout this interaction, the manager exhibited behavior that I found to be disrespectful and unprofessional. His refusal to address my concerns effectively only amplified my dissatisfaction. Silencing your clients and making false accusations as a means of silencing is not the way to address a concern. I sincerely hope that you take this feedback into consideration to ensure that your establishment maintains a high standard of customer service. Very disappointing. read more

4 Year customer. For the last 4 appointments they had to change my time to accommodate THEIR schedule. Most recent visit, I came at the newly agreed on time only to find that the stylist was double booked and couldn't do my cut. There was no solution or remediation offered. Just stared at their computer screen expecting a solution to materialize. Won't be back. read more

I was in Rehoboth a few weeks ago when it was too hot to breathe. I decided to stay inside one day. I knew that I badly needed a mani-pedi and discovered that the salon next door did those. Better yet, they had time that day. Here is the best part--Lorianna! I had an injury and was using a walking stick--unable to walk up to the manicurist upstairs. Loriana took photos of the polish colors(!),brought them down to me, then chose the perfect ones,brought everything downstairs and gave me a perfect mani-pedi. I have ordered the polish colors that she chose because they were perfect and i want to keep using them. She did an exceptionally professional job all the way around. I can't say enough about the staff here--the young man at the desk was very helpful in suggesting that they could come downstairs for me--this place is the best! read more

Skylar has been tinting my eyebrows and eyelashes since the beginning of this summer. First of all, this is one of the least expensive places in all of Delmarva, but most definitely one of the best quality experiences. I have light red hair, but wanted my brows to be darker and more visible, but still match my hair. After showing her a couple photos of how I normally fill in my brows, she was able to produce a perfect color, and an overall beautiful result. Also, when tinting my lashes she ensures that little to no dye gets in my eyes to reduce that burning feeling. I am very happy, and not looking forward to finding someone else to do this when I move in the fall. read more

I have visited many times over the past couple of years and every time has been great. I go for men's haircuts and Meiir does a fantastic job. The salon itself is very pretty and the barbers are professional and helpful. There are 2 levels, so if you can't go upstairs, make sure to ask for downstairs. They also have a little shop at the entrance/ front desk that has every hair care and spa product imaginable. My haircuts have run about $40. Excellent job at everything. read more

I made an apt for deep conditioning and blow dry 3 days ago. I came in today and they said I was only scheduled for the conditioning treatment (I was expected to walk out with my wet hair I guess) and they set up a station and had me wait with wet hair. Little did I realize they had set down the dryer so I could DRY MY HAIR MYSELF. Then the receptionist realized I was scheduled with Iryna but didn't even apologize to me. The salon looks flashy and nice but it's a show. Everyone inside seems mostly miserable. Take "hair" out of the title and it seems a bit more accurate. My boyfriend just got a haircut here for the first time and his stylist didn't listen to anything he said. He said he wanted a 2 1/2 on the sides and he got 1 1/2. He said he wanted it longer on top so it's still curly, and at the end his stylist specifically said he cut it short enough so it's not curly, literally the exact opposite of what he said. I don't like giving negative reviews generally but I made an appointment in advance and assumed that time would be honored after a crazy work day. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I get running behind a bit, I really do. However, I was brought up to "wait" for my scheduled cut and spent 20 mins past my scheduled time without even so much as acknowledgment by the stylist (Jeanne) No, "hey, running a bit behind, my apologies" or anything actually...Despite being mere feet from her station. So after 20 mins of waiting, I left. I don't necessarily mind driving through peak traffic to make sure I'm there ON TIME and spending good money for a basic cut, but do your part and respect the time YOU scheduled me for. I have been here two times for two different services. First I had an eyebrow tinting. One eyebrow is darker than the other and it looks crazy! Then today I got a regular pedicure with a French gel. It looks like I could have done it at home. Also I had a $25 gift certificate (the only reason I decided to get my pedi done here for my vacation) and they gave me a horrible time to use it when it didn't have any specific directions. I was charged 15$ off instead of the $25. Plus they tried charging me an extra $10 to take gels off when I got them back on. I was scheduled for a gel manicure with Adam. He did a nice job on my hands and nails, and I love how they look. He also did a nice finishing touch with aromatherapy lotion and oils. What a strange experience I had at this salon! I was in Rehobeth with family for the weekend for my sister's wedding. A few hours before I went in, I called and asked if they could squeeze me in for a manicure while my sister got her nails done as well. They were super accommodating on the phone, which I appreciate. I noticed they had a lot of bookings when I went in later that day, so it was nice that they could fit me in with my sister. The woman who did my nails was friendly and seemed very detailed oriented. After she finished my manicure, I asked her if I should pay now, or later when we left. (I was going to stay with my sister and keep her company while she got her hair done). She told me I could do whatever. I decided to head downstairs, pay right after she finished my nails. Fast forward a few hours, and I get a call from a local number. It was Bad Hair Day, saying that I had an open ticket, and that I didn't pay for my manicure. When I insisted that the charge was present in my bank account, they still didn't believe me. The woman proceeded to ask me many questions, like "Who checked you out?" (How should I know the answer to that?) "Who did your nails?" etc etc. All of this minutes before my sister was getting ready to walk down the aisle. It was pretty unprofessional behavior, considering that I was able to prove that the charge went through and I paid via my bank account. I forgot to point this out when I was on the phone with the salon, but they got my phone number when I was paying for my services! Obviously, I paid, or they wouldn't have my number on file. Even after all of that ridiculousness, my gel manicure was subpar. It has held up very poorly compared to gel mani's I've gotten in the past. I paid much more than I did in my hometown (which I expected, this is a "nice" salon, after all!) and I expected better quality. Unfortunately, I'll have to check out another salon next time I'm in Rehobeth. That being said, the salon is very cute inside and clean but not worth the money and strange behavior from employees! read more

I have been coming to the salon for the past four years and love it. A true salon/spa with professional staff. I also love the Surf Bagels & Dogfish beers (well when they are able to serve them... covid) Two years ago I had a major breakage issue (due to a visit to a different salon in a different state) and I was introduced to Sissy. I was getting married in Rehoboth and booked hair and makeup for myself (bride), Makeup for my mom, hair for his mom and haircut & hot shave for the groom. I loved my hair, and that was the good part. However groom's barber came in 40 min late and the first thing he said was: "Aw, i didn't know you will be on time". Because of him coming late we had to run our ceremony an HOUR LATE!!!! That's unforgivable! As for my makeup the artist was great but i didn't realize they will only use Aveda cosmetics - which is all natural but doesn't do the job as well as conventional. I loved lashes but i didn't like the base - it looked like a mask both on me and my mom. It intensified all the wrinkles, instead of hiding them. Even my husband said he didn't like my makeup - it looked cakey to him... That said - if you go there for a hair-do - Jessica is amazing, but pick another place to do your makeup. read more

Keven, a true professional at the desk, as also great. However, my stylist, Megan, was not what I expected after experiencing the ambiance and professionalism I saw in the salon around me. I tried my hardest to explain what I wanted, but during my consultation she seemed uninterested and aloof, more concerned about what music was on the speakers and "wobbling" at the club the night before. In mere moments my beautiful, thick, curly hair was transformed into what I would liken to Shawn Hunter from Boy Meets World with a mullett. Perhaps even a soccer mom cut. I really enjoy the vibe of the place, not to mention you can enjoy beer or wine during your service. Over the past couple of years I also added in spa treatments from Beth Salaman. I cannot say enough good things about her, and the service she provides. I have been getting regular facials for a couple of years now and my skin looks fantastic. She also has me on an Aveda product regimen that I swear by. Throw an occasional body wrap into the mix and I am one pampered princess! Julie is a color goddess! I travel a lot and this is HANDS DOWN my favorite salon! I called Bad Hair Day in tears one Friday after another "salon" DESTROYED my hair - think orange roots, with white highlighted stripes! AWFUL! They asked around and Julie agreed to stay late the next day - Saturday - to try and salvage my hair. The fact that not only did I come out of there looking amazing, but she completely revamped the destruction the other stylist had done! And she stayed late just to help me out! They treated me like royalty the entire time - constantly asking if I needed anything to drink and the massage during the conditioning is SUBLIME! Their shampoo techs alone deserve a reward for their relaxation skills. Bikini wax was A-plus also!
