I walked into the salon today for my routine trim and color and immediately noticed that the vibe felt off. I asked for Edgar and was told that he was no longer with them. I was instanly upset because i dont trust anyone with my hair but aslo because Edgar was a great stylist and colorist. He always knew exactly what to do with my hair and color. I have gone to other stylist there but they coudn't deliver what i wanted or asked for. Janelle is the stylist who cut my hair. I chose to have my hair shampooed and cut, just a simple cut. The way she was cutting my hair was like some random person cutting hair without a license, she was grabbing chunks of hair and cutting it in different directions! She claimed 25 years of experience, but I found that hard to believe. She wash my hair and it was still dirty, it didn't have that clean feeling you get from a professional hair salon. I took my two daughters to Supercuts on Greenleaf in Whittier yesterday, giving the salon another chance after a not-so-great experience in the past. Previously, there had been a stylist who was bossy and refused to do the style I requested, to the point where I ended up walking out frustrated. I was relieved to learn from Edgar that she had since been let go due to many complaints and poor reviews. This visit, however, was a complete turnaround. Edgar cut both of my daughters' hair, and he was fantastic from start to finish. He's conscientious, he listens, and he offers gentle, helpful suggestions without ever being pushy. He had my girls laughing, smiling, and completely comfortable -- which says a lot. A moment that meant the world to me: out of the kindness of his heart, he saved a curl from my daughter's first haircut as a keepsake. Such a thoughtful gesture I truly appreciated. So upset today with my visit. I booked a cut with a shampoo. Scheduled with first available stylist. A man cut my hair. I can't remember his name but he did not shampoo me at the beginning of the service. I told him specifically to not touch my undercut as I'm currently growing it out. He proceeded to "touch it up" and cut it while bashing the stylist I had cut it originally. Touch and told me where he was going to cut my bob then proceeded to cut even shorter than where I was shown. He kept combing my hair and catching my earring of which he completely ripped off the back of one of them and almost ripped the same one out the front. He continually dropped combs and clips. When I got home and was able to wash it myself and comb it the left side was noticeably longer than the other and one section wasn't even cut the same length as the rest. I'm so upset and I wish I never came there. I will not return and I wish I had requested a refund as it is not fixable due to how short it was cut. I look like lord Farquhaad from shrek now. Do not come here. I've visited this Supercuts location twice now, and both experiences were incredibly disappointing. The stylists were rude and unprofessional from the moment I sat down. I have thick hair, and instead of handling it with care, they made snide comments about the amount of hair I have, acting like it was a huge inconvenience. There was zero patience or customer service--just dismissive attitudes and snobby vibes the entire time. They clearly didn't care about doing a good job or making me feel comfortable. There seems to be fairly high turnover at this location, I remember Rebecca, CeCe, Alexandra, Griselle and Elsie. Last time I went I only saw Griselle and Elsie at the shop. I remember them saying it was kind of a light day that a couple other stylists cut out a bit early.
