This is no ordinary Mexican restaurant. I ordered the chicken fajita quesadillas and it was amazing! Everything is super fresh and you also get these incredible pickled carrots and jalapeños. Always delicious food at Superica. Love their queso dip as well. If you like a strong margarita, get the O.G. Short and Strong. After eating delicious free salsa and (not free) queso, I usually get a chicken taco kids meal with up-charge for grilled chicken instead of tinga chicken (which I do not like at all). The grilled chicken is so yummy. Hubby loves the enchiladas verde. Have never had a bad experience here. Great for a small group. Sometimes the noise level is high inside. Would be good if they had something to dampen all the sounds. Can be hard to hear a conversation at the table. Will definitely be back!! The patio outside is also quite delightful. read more

If there were a way to give zero stars I would. This was supposed to be a mom daughter dinner at a place we used to like...but...Horrible experience. Ordered $20 chicken nachos. When they came out there was no chicken. I pointed this out to the food runner who left and came back with a small plate of chicken...presumably for me to put on the $20 chicken nachos that didn't have chicken. I explained to her that these are $20 nachos and I would think they would be remade with the chicken incorporated. She then grabs the plate of chicken...and the chicken nachos (minus the chicken) and walks back to the kitchen window. I literally watch the chef pick each piece of chicken from the chicken plate and place one piece on each of the original nachos. The manager then brings them out to me. Bon appetite!! All of this happens within about 90 seconds. Needless to say I ask them to take away the recently united chicken + nachos. I didn't want anything at that point. The manager then says ideally his kitchen would have remade the nachos with chicken but pointed out that at least the chicken I watched being put on my nachos was not from someone else's table. Yes...this really happened. My 15 year old daughter then gets upset and embarrassed that my dinner was a disaster so she only ate half of hers. Check comes out and at least they didn't charge me for said "chicken nachos" but they charged me for the rest. I miss pre-Covid restaurant service. Eating out isn't even worth it. read more

I was hoping for a similar dining experience to their Southend location. The complimentary chips tasted like they had been sitting out way too long. Our meals were split -- my enchiladas dish was flavorful yet my dining partner's tacos fell flat. The service received sitting at the bar was strong. Servers were friendly and eager to accommodate. We had the chicken fajitas and the steak was grilled to the requested temperature and so good. The tortillas were freshly made and grilled--very good. Enjoyed the margaritas too. I recently went to this location and was extremely disappointed to see several line cooks wearing their masks around their chin, not covering up their noses or mouths. What was worse is that what appeared to be two managers were standing near the kitchen, clearly seeing that masks were not being worn properly. The fajitas are amazing and do yourself a favor and get the one with chicken, steak, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp. In fact, just order a side/plate of the shrimp with whatever else you order. Disgusting! The chips and salsas were the best part. The Tacos al Pastor were pathetic. So greasy. I can't imagine digesting them. The Tortilla/Chicken soup was even worst!!! The color, awful. No chicken or vegetables. The Charro beans tasted like dishwasher detergent. The service was good though. But the restaurant should be called, "Super Nasty", instead of "Super-Rico". I really enjoyed my dinner at Superica. I've had dinner at both locations and my experience (food and service wise) at the Providence location was a much better than the one in Dilworth / Southend. Our waitress was new (first night) so was still learning the ropes and little slow on getting our order out correctly but the manager was super on point and was super proactive. I think they may have a shared responsibility kitchen and everything came out pretty timely, the manager even comped a round of drinks without us insinuating any issues because a few things were missing. The fajitas were pretty good and the tortillas were amazing. I'm from Texas so have been missing real texmex since I've been in charlotte. If you order anything, get a side of flour tortillas, they were the closest to homemade Mexican tortillas I've had in like 15 years. Anyway, I don't typically write reviews but I wanted to show appreciation for Sasha at the Providence location for the great customer service and making it a positive experience! My silverware has never come clean to the table here. I used to work here when they first opened years ago and it has decreased so much in service. The food is the same but the waiters are rude and the managers just seem confused and everyone in here seems like they are in space.
