Every time I get pre-marinated meat, which has been a good four times that each time hoping for better results but it's been worse. you can tell that it is old expired meat. It smells! this time around I tried the taco meat It's extremely salty. it smells like it's rotten. I also tried the breaded chicken. I like to go to this market to look around and explore the different types of food products. I put several items of produce in one bag, and the cashier was not happy about it, asking me why; I apologized and she proceeded to speak in Spanish to a co-worker (working in the bank area), I am sure she was making fun of my purchase as I had a small amount of radishes (bought in bulk) and I guess she thought that was funny or inappropriate (as she mentioned the quantity) and then she and co-worker banker laughed back and fourth. I am Caucasian, and maybe cashier didn't know I do know some Spanish, and didn't appreciate her comments to co-worker, even mentioning something about a security guard (calling for me?) This review is for Monica at Store 126 in Corona. Superior has always had the best tortilla chips. They make them in the store from actual tortillas. My wife and I went to the store to buy our usual tortilla chips, and there was a new woman working in the tortilleria. She saw me looking at the chips and offered to help. (I think I looked a bit confused.) My wife and I told her that we were taking our eight month old out to the store to see people. She stopped and visited with the baby and then offered to make me a fresh bag of tortilla chips. She was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I love this market which carries both fresh and prepared Mexican food items and specialties. In addition there are holiday decor, floral arrangements, candles and gift items. I find that item such as paper goods, milk, eggs, and staples are a little bit higher priced, but depending on on the weekly specials and what you need, that might not necessarily be true. The ambience of the store is festive and its not too big. Its also kept extremely clean and well stocked. I like the fact that they carry items. I normally wouldn't see at Albertsons or Vons, but there are not as many choices in non-food items and organic/health food specialty products. The service people throughout the market are friendly and helpful, but have encountered a couple of women working at checkout who have had an attitude, which doesn't match my experience the rest of the market's staff and management. The security guards who greet you with a warm and friendly smile when you come in offer assistance, suggestions and happily answer questions. The produce department is fresh and looks beautiful. The bakery has a wide variety of Mexican specialties that are always fresh and inviting . Other than the prices being a little higher, it's a pleasure shopping there. read more

This is such a neat place to be. My fiancé was the one that took me here to find certain things when Covid 19 lockdown began. We couldn't find a lot of things when the pandemic hit, but this place had some stuff available and we are forever grateful. We needed to find some of bleach so bad during Covid 19 and also toilet paper. This place had what we needed. We can't be picky when nothing else is available from anywhere else. Like I said, forever grateful to find the little hidden gems here. This is inside a plaza with many other stores. Dollar Tree. Goodwill. Some fast food joints. The parking structure is decent size, so I don't think anyone will have a problem finding parking even on a busy day. The security guy in the front is super friendly to us every time we go there. Made a recent stop here to Superior and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. They had a good meat selection, standard grocery items, and a pretty fantastic selection of produce. I was probably most impressed by their produce section. I was even excited to get some Mexican Squash, as I love cooking with squash! The customer service is blah, but the staff here seem to do their job. The market is clean and has a pretty decent selection of groceries. They're not necessarily a cheaper supermarket, but they do have some good bargains. You just have to hunt for them. Tip: Stop in for their bakery items. Got some Pan Dulce (2 for $1.00 Red Tag Special this week), and they were pretty good. read more

I've been shopping at the Corona 6th street store for at least 13 years. Great prices. But 90% of the times I've shopped there the staff members and the asset protection team follow me around the store on each isle like I'm going to steal something. This happens if I'm dressed professionally or casually. It's racist. If your African American they assume you're going to steal and are instructed to watch you and are very obvious about it. OMG! I got two bag full of fresh produce for less than $10.00! Included: - Kale - Spinach - Avocados - Carrots - Bananas - Apples - Brussel Sprouts I came in here on a Wednesday afternoon with my dad because he said that they have the fresh round of produce every Wednesdays. It is a pretty big place. It is pretty easy to find, Google Map takes you right to the location. It is located right next to Taco Bell, in a shopping complex with bunch of other stores. It has ample amount of parking space available. I went there only to get the fresh produce, didn't even look at the other items because I went there to get only the fresh veggies! Amazing prices! Great service as well! It is kept relatively clean and organized but sometimes it can tend to get bit cray cray. I can't believe I haven't done a review for superior yet! This grocer is probably my most favorite! It's always packed, there's always long lines to check out BUT they always have extremely good deals. Hot bread, fresh fruit, crisp veggies and bloody delicious meat, seriously couldn't ask for more. If you do, than please exit the premises immediately and hit thy self. Best day to go is on a Wednesday!! Sometimes the place will look like a warzone and find yourself a tad bit scared of the crowd but fear not child, the deals are worth the fight. The place inside is usually clean and the products are usually well stocked but the public doesn't give a hoot about businesses so they'll come in and mess things right up for you to feel at home, haha. I really recommend buying your tortilla chips (or tortillas, or bread) here since they're made in house so you get that delicious fatty carbs right out of the fryer (or oven). I love to visit this supermercado when in Corona. It's a very nice store filled with deals, very reasonable. The meat counter is excellent, really good Al pastor. I am so in love with the bakery, it smells so good and everything looks so fresh. I adore the individual pineapple upside down cakes ohhh my they are so good, the best I've ever tasted and the main reason I am such a fan. I have been shopping at Superior on and off for about 3 years now. They have some negatives and some positives, and it really comes down to your preferences. For me personally, they are not the top choice when it comes to a supermarket or grocery store. Positives: - Convenient and easy access - Wells Fargo inside of the store (useful if you bank with them) - Low prices - Bakery - their baked goods are very tasty and they bake them fresh everyday Negatives: - The quality of produce and fruits is not what you would often expect. - It's often difficult to grab someone to help you with an item search. It appears that they have limited number of employees. - The presentation of the merchandise and store décor are not very impressive. - I often find it difficult to find a parking space. Anyway, when you absolutely look for the lowest prices, they may be worth visiting. However, if you expect little more quality and more pleasant shopping experience, you may be slightly disappointed. Also, I think the store is directed more towards the Hispanic population and their preferences. read more

Ive been shopping here for the past year because their meat prices are incredibly low and because they carry hispanic food items that my colombian/mexican girlfriend loves. I sometimes wonder about the meat because of how cheap it is. We have bought chicken leg meat as low as .44 cents/lb before. It really makes you think "what could be wrong with this meat that they are selling it so cheaply?". I haven't gotten sick yet, however... Its usually pretty busy, even at like 8 or 9pm during the week. As a white man, I feel like sometimes I am not treated the same as hispanic customers. I have had the people at the deli take an order from a hispanic man who came to the area several minutes after I had been waiting, before me. A fairly big supermarket. It is setup like Food For Less where one goes in a specific way and leads one out the other way. There is no dedicated bagger aside from you. Rhere is an inside bakery and fresh tortilla maker. The price seems to be fair. Just be weary when in the area at night. So i go in, first of all the whole store smells like fish & it's very crowded. I go to get the beer and double check they are on sale. Most of the beets had a red tag that said MIX & MATCH. So i was like cool, so i go to pay and notice it's more than i had calculated in my head. I talk to the manager and she says it's not on special because the beers need to be of the same make? I was like OK then why does it say MIX and match not "mix from the same maker only" wtf ? Super misleading and it's not so much the money I'm annoyed over but it's the fact i could've saved my time going elsewhere and i had to experience that ghetto ass store. So gross. Never again. It's 5:05a, on Saturday, I call Superior Grocers in Corona to see if they have Red Rome Apples in produce. These apples are difficult to find and I bought them here last year. Carina answers the phone, I ask to speak to someone in produce or maybe she could help me, she responds, "we don't open until 6, and we don't do customer service until then". One of the greatest places for grocery shopping! Very cheap too. I shop there all the time, but mostly because it's the closest store we have. I always get those m&m yogurts cause I can't really find them anywhere else. The service is great as well and the employees are as sweet as pie.
