Where to start, holy smokes!…read more Inquired about a late model BMW X5, photos showed Bridgestone Alenza Runflat tires, vehicle description named "runflats" on multiple areas, even the Dealer description. We were sent a quick video taken by Jason Rosinni, quickly skimming past the tires. I got so excited about the X5 that I sent them a deposit and booked a flight to Knoxville. After my son, who is a tire expert, saw the video, he told me that they replaced the Bridgestone Alenza Runflats with Ironman Imove tires which are the cheapest tires on the market. After asking Mr. Rosinni about the switch in tires, he told me that the Bridgestone's were bald and they had to be changed. Ok, but why send me photos of Bridgestones valued at over $400 a tire installed, when they were replaced with a $143 tire? Also, the vehicle was originally sold with runflats and needs to continue to have runflats or provide a spare tire which Grayson did not. This is NOT the image BMW is striving for, and it makes me sick thinking about my experience with Mr. Rosinni. I had the most amazing experience buying my first brand new BMW in 2006, I just thought all BMW dealership were reputable, unfortunately, that can't be any more untrue. I got my $1,000 back from Grayson but had to eat my $500 airfare. NEVER AGAIN.

And they are the only in network shop In ALL OF TENNESSEE. There are 2 in GA. How can they sell their warranty & not be able to fix my truck & be the only in network shop In the entire state?!! So now instead of paying a $200 deductible we have to pay $400. We have contacted a lawyer. As we had left messages for the GM. Who never returned a call one!! Bunch of conmen & scammers. They should have found another place to send out our vehicle as they sold us their warranty & couldn't fix it. That's what a reputable dealer would do. And cover the extra on the deductible. There was no going the extra mile for their customer. Any other dealer I have dealt with in the past far surpasses this place. Unprofessional, Uncaring, & as far as I am concerned lying cheats. We have contacted an attorney he is looking through the contract. I only have them a star cause if I don't I couldn't post. They should be in trouble with the BBB. And that will be my next step now that I think of it. PS: Caroline whoever you are. Why don't you get your GM to call the people back. We have called to no avail. Look at the complaints on your service dept, your GM. Tell your GM to start calling back the people who have called. Instead of hiding. If you can't do your job. You should be fired. We aren't calling no more. We have an attorney.

And that he can get anyone and everyone financed regardless of credit. That he has every name brand and model in stock and just give them a call. So we did and he directed us to come visit him at Ole Charlie Motors. Which turned out not to exist. It turned out to be Ole Ben Franklin Motors. Us believing his story, that he had just purchased the dealerships, all of them, that he was waiting on the signage to be replaced; however, he definitely wanted to sell us a vehicle and was very forceful and demanding and wanting our personal information prior to even looking at a vehicle. We felt violated when he demanded our drivers license licenses, Social Security cards, proof of income, proof of insurance, and the like. Come to find out, there is no such thing as Ole Charlie Motors. He has misrepresented himself on every social media site there is. As we were walking around the lot, there were several unsatisfied customers who forewarned us to not purchase from this dealership and especially Charlie. Seven independent different people came up to us and said this. They even let us listen to voicemail messages of his constant calling which bordered harassment. All seven individuals had not had their vehicles for more than two weeks. One person only had the vehicle for two days and wanted to return the vehicle and get their trade-in back. Of which he denied and declined. This individual does not seem to be a manager; however, he is not in management at all. He is not an ethical sales person, nor do I think he has an ethical bone in his body. We were given his true identity by four of the seven individuals that approached us, they even stated that he is initially from Decatur, TN but told them that he recently moved to Knoxville, TN. It appeared to us and the other individuals that were there, that approached us independently, that Charles LoCicero was under the influence of some type of narcotic. We took our business elsewhere and are extremely enthused with what we purchased. We do not need subprime lending and we are so grateful and thankful to the people that approached us. There still are good people left in this world. My suggestion, do your homework in advance, and definitely go to a reputable dealership that carries many brands/factory accounts, for example, Chevrolet, GMC, Ford, Nissan, BMW, Land Rover, Jeep, Dodge, etc. If any of the seven people that approached us read this, we thank you so very much! We owe all seven of you and your significant others lunch.

They claimed they couldn't retail our trade-in and that we had to trade back. We hired a lawyer who sent them a certified letter after reviewing our contract stating that there was nothing in the contract we signed stating they could do this. After they repossessed the truck we bought I went to get our trade in back and they kept $1,300 of our down deposit forcing us to pay for the illegal repossession. We were also able to file it stolen and have a police report. The only way to get the truck we bought back or our money back is to sue them. I am telling our story so no one else goes through the nightmare that we went through and all the money we lost.

John Tigci did not!!! He really heard me and showed me only what I was looking for AND I was there alone and he did NOT attempt to take advantage of that. He was very informative and made sure I understood. This is the first dealer that treated me this way. He is very knowledgeable and answered my questions with real answers, not just scripted ones. I could tell he was experienced and didn't play the "let me go ask my manager" game. Although my credit score was good, I haven't used my credit in 15 years which made me hard to find in their system. John Tigci was very patient. For this same reason I needed a co-signer, my dad, who lives a few states away. Neither one of my parents are good with online paperwork. John's patience were beyond what I would expect, better than mine would have been. He treated my parents with dignity and respect, not common in these situations. The vehicle I wanted got sold before I could get it. I was disappointed. John Tigci found a vehicle I liked better and I fell in love with it. I happily drove it for 7 months then got hit by another car which totaled it out. I went back to John, told him what I wanted (there were 3 I was considering) and he was on it! He was his usual professional, informative, patient and understanding self. He didn't try to interest me in anything I didn't want. This sale went quicker as I didn't need a co-signer and the system knew who I was. I'm just as happy with the second vehicle as I was with the first. Bot times John followed up after the sale a few times. He asked how the vehicle was, if I was happy with it and if I needed anything. His actions really showed that he cares about his customers and wants to do well for them. His experience, knowledge and patience as well as his incredible ability to really hear what someone is looking for is not found in most car dealers. When I'm ready for another vehicle, John Tigci will make another sale. I strongly recommend him for single women who do these things alone or anyone who just wants a straight-up honest guy to do business with without the scripted nonsense and push for a sale. I feel my happiness came first before the sale. John Tigci is my guy and I recommend him will full confidence to anyone looking for a vehicle. This is a Ford dealer. Neither of the vehicles I wanted were Fords but John Tigci made it happen anyway. With Gratitude, Rainie Dae

Yelp Review - Bait and Switch Tactics by Subaru of America and Grayson Subaru, Knoxville, Tennessee…read more During our 9.3 years of ownership, our 2017 Subaru Forester has already required FOUR COMPLETE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS (the original factory system plus three full replacements). On average, our Subaru has required a new air conditioning system every 2.3 years! This is a fully acknowledged systemic Subaru design defect involving internal condenser corrosion and premature compressor failure. Because of that defect, Subaru of America previously provided two full replacements at no cost to us and with no upfront diagnostic fee. Initial conversations with Subaru of America's corporate headquarters indicated that this fourth repair would also be fully covered due to the same systemic problems -- and that was their first lie. Service advisor Joshua Byrge at Grayson Hyundai Subaru explicitly used that corporate history and promised my wife that the $334 diagnostic fee (a fee we had never been charged in any previous repair) would be completely safe to pay because Subaru corporate would cover the full repair/replacement and refund every penny of the diagnostic fee with zero out-of-pocket cost. We trusted that explicit representation and authorized the work. What we actually received was a single-line, completely unprofessional "estimate" for $1,694.54 for the compressor only -- with no itemized breakdown, after we were told there was no price ceiling whatsoever. Subaru of America then offered only a pitiful $1,000 partial and fixed compensation. They also required that our $334 diagnostic fee be deducted from the $1,000 goodwill compensation, leaving only $666 toward whatever our total unknown cost might be from having Grayson Subaru of Knoxville, Tennessee, replace our A/C system. This is a classic example of a BAIT AND SWITCH CON - first promising us that the fee would be covered, but only after paying the fee, we find out that they would only cover some of the cost if we took their offer of a net $666. Bear in mind that the last two replacements by Subaru did not require any diagnostic fee, and they covered the full costs for the same systemic problem with their badly designed A/C systems. We refused the open-ended risk. Instead, we took the vehicle to a highly respected independent Subaru master mechanic in Sevier County (35 years of experience solely specializing in Subarus, with a sterling reputation). He opened the system and confirmed it wasn't just the compressor -- the condenser and expansion valve were also damaged and contaminated. He replaced all three major components, plus a full flush and refrigerant, for a flat fee of exactly $900.00, with no diagnostic fee. However, this is proof positive that Grayson's $1,694.54 quote was just ANOTHER BAIT-AND-SWITCH -- Subaru dealers routinely add $800-$1,800 for the condenser and expansion valve once the system is opened, pushing the total air-conditioning repair cost to $2,500-$3,500. Grayson Subaru would have come back demanding thousands more, with our SUV in pieces. Subaru of America has still not responded to our detailed executive escalation letter, which was sent directly to the President/COO, VP Customer Advocacy, VP Service & Quality, and the president of Grayson. I've now filed formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Tennessee Motor Vehicle Commission, and the Tennessee Division of Consumer Affairs. Subaru's short-sighted refusal has already cost them enormously. We had planned to purchase another new Subaru in January 2027, which would have generated ~$22,000 in combined gross profit for Subaru and the Grayson dealership. Across our next 4-5 vehicles, our household will now purchase from other manufacturers. Subaru and Grayson have voluntarily destroyed nearly $100,000 in our lifetime customer value -- all to avoid spending roughly $800 at wholesale on their own known defect. Grossly incompetent management. We are now permanently finished with Subaru and with Grayson Hyundai Subaru in Knoxville. That loyalty we once had is now 100% destroyed. Posted May 30, 2026.
