So I ordered some breakfast from here,every time I order a chorizo breakfast burrito from most restaurants of Taqueria's,they are pretty basic ,typical .. But I was impressed with how theirs is slightly different,refreshing actually to see a different style .. My husband was craving some caldo de res, and they had it there it was delicious and very authentic Mexican flavors they even cooked some Carne asada for you there with a side of beans and rice. This review is for the carnicería meat section. It is horrible! Poor quality meat compared to other options for the same price or even cheaper! I frequently visited this store because their pre-prepared food is really good. Carnitas, torta de milanesa and chicharron being our favorites, with very polite employees. I would 100 percent recommend the pre-prepared food up front, but in my opinión, stay away from the meat department! I don't know if they changed management back there but they have horrible customer service and are very rude. In my opinion, I prefer the carnicería, La Placita Michoacana at the Punjabi Plaza. They are polite, welcoming and very accommodating to my needs/wants as a paying customer....and cleaner! read more

I've been venturing out to various taquerias in search of the best burrito near my job and this place may be the winner so far. Flavors were tantalizing and the food was made quick. Not eating meat sometimes a burrito could be just beans and rice and sour cream or guacamole for giving up your first born. This place was reasonably priced and everything I wanted was in my burrito without a struggle or slight begging. Very unprofessional service from the management team. Called to place catering order after visiting the store to ask their process. The girl that answered told me they don't take orders over the phone so I asked to speak with a manager. Man gets on the phone and says that he will transfer me to the deli. I tried to explain the situation with the girl who answered the phone and he says let me put you thru to the manager. WTH he said he was the manager!!! Spoke to manager and he also didn't take care of my dissatisfaction nor offer any type of apology for my bad experience. The manager at this store is really rude. My mother's purse was stolen yesterday as she set it down for one second while she grabbed some tomatoes. She immediately told employees and spoke with the store manager. He didn't want to look at his cameras to see who stole her wallet, he said there is nothing he can do in a ver rude tone. He was very short with my mother and seemed to not care at all what had just happened. She mentioned that the manager seemed to not think it was a big deal. My mother has been shopping at this grocery store for years and just could not believe how badly they treated her after her purse was stolen. Bad customer service I called in to order some "Tilapias" for a party and the two woman who answered Jenny and Beatriz refused to give me service and not take my order they told me to go there when I always call in so I can do a pick up as I am a regular customer but this woman gave a bad service and told me to do whatever I want they where not going to do anything. I even told them myself that I was a regular customer and always call in and that they always make my orders that I'll just be there in 15 minutes also I told them I would pay them via phone with my card but they refused, no they where rude who ever is the manager needs to talk to them or fire them I don't think you guys need to have employees like that unprofessional and Beatriz said she was the manager what a bad manager you guys have. I ate there and got very sick as well as my co-workers. Food poision is no joke. I believe folks confuse food poision for indigestion when the truth is there is a significant difference since food poision can be fatal. These stores use expired meats and fruits. Once expired they give them over to the deli to cook in hot foods and make into fresh juices. Please be careful where you eat. This place is a joke! Especially"Don Luis" I don't know if this man is the owner or just the manager. I've had 2 encounters with this man and both times he was very inconsiderate! He never puts his customer's first. A few weeks ago I purchased some "fresh" oysters from them, they had some kind of parasites crawling on them! I went to get my money back but first he LITERALLY inspected the oysters because he did not want to return my money! He finally did after I pointed out the bugs to him. Then I'm assuming he didn't think I spoke Spanish and he said to his employee "it's not like the bugs won't burn off on the grill". The second encounter my father purchased some bread, cereal and some carnitas. When my father got home he realized the carnitas weren't in the bag. I went back to the store with the receipt and told the cashier.. Who does she call? Yup.. "Don Luis".
