If I pay $100 ($20 of which was prepaid tip) for a one way trip from the airport which was booked as an execucar I expect to be picked up in an execucar. Not an old ztrip minivan that was dirty inside and out. My flight didn't get in until 3am. The driver was on time and nice but very unprofessional appearance. Do not use this service or Execucar that they are affiliated with. We booked our trip to and from the airport so we could relax for vacation and not be worried about parking or asking friends for a ride. Booked it over a week in advance. They never showed. Our pickup was scheduled at 4:05 in the morning and no one came at all. No call. No text. Nothing. We called the customer service number and they connected me to three different people over 20 minutes. The final person simply said, "we can have someone there in maybe 20 minutes." And we were already 30 minutes past pickup time. We drove ourselves. After three days I got an email saying they would refund my money. No apology or even an attempt at an explanation. The worst customer service I have ever had via phone. The reps re obviously outsourced because you can't understand and have to request they repeat. I called to get a better understanding of what I need to do since my flight arrival time changed. The rep (Miko) was highly annoyed and when I said I have a question he kept saying "what is it" "what do you want". If I could rate Super Shuttle with negative stars, I would. My ExecuCar ordered via Super Shuttle's website was 85 minutes late picking me up in Leavenworth, KS on Sunday morning. I ordered my car almost 18 hours in advance. The first time I was notified there was an issue getting a car was at 3:40 am, 15 minutes before it was scheduled to arrive. I had to cancel my original United Airlines flights and buy a separate ticket on Southwest using most of my accrued SW points to do so (16,661 points). They need to reimburse my total ExecuCar fare, fees, and tip ($62.31) AND $216.59 for my SW points (at 1.3 cents per point) + $5.60 SW booking fee for a grand total of $284.50. read more

Wow, these guys are great! It was my first time using SuperShuttle since I normally rent a car while on business trips. This time I opted to use this service for my round trip from MCI to Downtown KC hotel. First of all, it was very easy and convenient to book my trips online. You just have to specify your to and from location and give them your flight time. You have to choose what kind of service you prefer, such as shared ride, private, luxury vehicle, etc. You can add your tips and prepay the whole thing. Second, they are very prompt. They'll send you a text to remind you when you are getting picked up. They will give you the vehicle number so that you can get on the right one. You can track your driver/vehicle on a map with the link they send you. They'll text you they arrive at your location. Third, drivers were very courteous, friendly, and efficient. One of them was very quiet perhaps I was riding in the shared vehicle with 7 or so more passengers. The driver from the airport was talkative perhaps because I was the only passenger in a shared vehicle. I loved using this service. I will use it again. Highly recommended!! read more

Horribly messy, bulky, confusing service. Cost $90 round trip to ride in a dirty van for a few minutes to and from the airport. They don't make it clear but you're not set when you purchase your tickets. You have to check in somehow on an app or magically find the phone number otherwise even with a confirmation number and receipt they'll leave you on the curb after your long flight. Worked for me! For $31 I had a roundtrip to and from the airport. Although, that doesn't include tips to the driver... factor in another $4-$5 bucks. Upon pick up the shuttle was only a couple minutes late (I'm talking like 3 minutes) and I did get a recorded call saying the shuttle was on the way just as I was about to dial them. I really did not want to take the SuperShuttle but the person over expense reports at work "strongly advised" that I take it. I was spared upon arrival because I split a Lyft with a colleague, but since we left KC at different times from different hotels, I found myself asking the hotel concierge to schedule a pick up. So, yeah, Crowne Plaza concierge doesn't do that. They also told me that you don't have to schedule a pick up in advance (not really true). That's an entirely different review. After I called SuperShuttle and confirmed that, yes, you need to schedule a pick up in advance, I downloaded the app and paid for a one way trip to the airport in about 10 minutes. I wanted a ride ASAP, so I entered in a flight time of 30 minutes from my current time and just kept extending the flight time by 30 minutes until SuperShuttle gave me the most immediate pick up time. I think it ended up being like 1225. The app let's you track the van as it's coming to get you and during the entire ride. The driver was polite, helped me with my bags, and drove very safely. My only annoyance was the fact that pickup was in one of those old school vans, and I had to climb to the seat in the very rear of the van. Ok, I didn't have to, but I did: everyone in the van so far was older than me, and I didn't want to hear people bitch and moan about being in the rear. Also, good thing I placed myself there, because two even older people climbed in after me. The van seats 8 comfortably, but it's the getting out that can be uncomfortable (again, rear seat). I grew up riding around in vans like that, so I just sucked it up. This wasn't the worst of my crapshow of a day, so I was rolling with it. The driver made sure to find out what terminals we were all heading for. I was heading for Southworst, er, Southwest. So lucky me, I was one of the first out. He helped me with my bag and I stumbled into this crapshow of an airport. I have nothing bad to say about SuperShuttle, really. It was relatively fast, and it was also the cheapest option to the airport at 18 dollars one way. Lyft was 3-4 dollars more expensive, and I am still so new to Lyft that that is with a 10% discount. Don't forget to tip the driver. If I ever am traveling for work, am not on a tight schedule, or feeling really cheap while traveling on my own dime, I will use this service again. If it were possible to give negative, I would. I'm not sure what happened to SuperShuttle. They used to be really good. My flight was delayed. I hurried straight to the pickup place. Couldn't find a driver. Went back in and called the dispatcher. Vince, told me the driver waited 30 minutes and left. He said I'd have to go to the taxi stand and call another driver and pay. My one way cost is already $120. I paid for a round trip in advance. No way I'm paying for another trip. He told me there was no other option, and I needed to call the 800.258.3826 number. I did, twice. I was hung up on both times. Supershuttle, your customer service is abominable. Ole Vince could have made a raving fan for you. Instead, I'll be telling everyone at work about my experience. I have never in all my years of taking NYC cabs (and cabs in cities across the world) had to deal with a driver as rude as I had from Super Shuttle last week. Think that one over a bit. I've taken a lot of cabs in my time. Of course Super Shuttle isn't exactly a cab or car service. I get that. The reason I use them is for dependability and convenience. It doesn't seem that much cheaper than a cab, when you consider the 18% tip they suggest you add on to the 39 dollar van price. And yes, I always add that tip on when prepaying via credit card at reservation time. Please keep that in mind when reading on. The driver pulled up around the corner and expected me to wade through the foot of snow with my luggage to the van. I waved him to please come in front of my house, as all the other drivers had done so in the past. I then came down the long row of front steps with one bag on my shoulder, leaving my small carry-on size suitcase on the porch. The driver stood on the sidewalk and angrily asked me why I had left my other bag up on the porch.I didn't reply right away (was trying to maneuver through the snow) and he again angrily asked me why I left my bag on the porch. I then asked if he would help bring my bag down the stairs and he replied with what could only be called fury, that he didn't have to do that. Okay. I stated that I had tipped when making the reservation, so I'd appreciate the help. He then started to yell at me that he's not permitted to go into my house and demanded to know why didn't I leave in the special instructions that I would need help with my luggage? Seriously? Special instructions are needed when you need help with a small piece of luggage down a flight of stairs? I don't do well with people being rude to me for no reason, so of course I lost my cool at this point and told him that he was being rude and I'd just go get the bag myself. I need mention that on all of my previous trips, the driver has assisted me with my bags down the stairs (it would be next to impossible for me to carry a larger, heavier piece down them) and if they hadn't, I would have used a different service. Now this is where things get truly ridiculous. As he continued to yell at me, I told him I would report him. He then told me that *he* would be reporting me! I kid you not, right then and there he called who I presume to be his dispatcher and started to complain about me loudly on the phone. "She is a rude customer and expects me to carry her bags," etc. I truly expected a camera crew to appear at this point and someone from MTV telling me that it took me X amount of minutes to lose my cool, but no such luck. The driver proceeded to make another phone call as he drove the van and complained about me to someone else. WTF? Really, this is astonishing. I felt harassed and stressed the entire length of the half hour ride. If this were the kind of city where cabs and car service was common and dependable, I wouldn't have gotten into the van, but also keep in mind I had prepaid and uh, I really needed to get to the airport on time. When we arrived at the airport, the driver handed me a blank invoice to sign. Because I was born yesterday. I've taken Super Shuttle many times and the driver typically gives you the thing at the start of the trip. It outlines the cost of the ride plus the tip that you've already put down. You sign at the bottom of this detailed bill. I refused and waited for him to fill out the paperwork. When signing, I crossed out the tip that I had previously put on my card and wrote "NONE" next to the line. I handed it back to him and went inside the airport. The driver proceeded to *follow me* into the airport to harass me further until I threatened to call the police. Although I had many satisfactory experiences with Super Shuttle before, I will never use their service again. I filled out a detailed complaint form online. The next day I received a phone message from an Abdul at the Kansas City office telling me he spoke to the driver and dispatcher and that the driver was correct in his actions to not go in my house to help with the bags. What?! He did not at all address anything else in my complaint form. I called back and left another message reminding him that this is more than just the driver refusing to help me with my bags. Although he returned my call and left another message, I have decided that I am not going to call back because I don't need to go through the aggravation of trying to convince a supervisor that one of his employees provided a horrific customer experience to someone for absolutely no reason at all. read more

In my opinion, any company that tells me they will reverse charges and neglects to do so is conducting bad business! I purchased my ticket at the kiosk at MCI. It must have been out of paper or had a glitch because the ticket didnt print. The driver shows up and can't help me. He says I MUST have a ticket, so he walked me back to the kiosk and instructs me to try again (he insisted something went wrong the 1st time and it didnt go through). I purchase again - no ticket comes out. So he tells me my only option is to PAY CASH, even though I have now PAID TWICE with my CREDIT CARD. He gives me the # to customer service and they tell me they reversed BOTH credit card charges. I pay the driver $40 in cash and get my ride home (finally). Guess what! BOTH kiosk charges post to my bank account 5 days later. I have now paid THREE TIMES for one service. When I called to straighten it all out, I was transferred to a manager. Did I talk to the manager? Nope - his VOICE MAIL came on. I left a message and have not heard back. I am not the only one who has had problems purchasing tickets with SuperShuttle. My advice: the ride is okay if you PAY CASH. Don't mess with their reservation or kiosk systems. Its risky and disorganized. read more

We told the Kiosk at MCI where we wanted to be dropped off. It said so on our ticket even. The driver asked several times where and seemed confused and argumentative. However, he got us there very quickly when my wife pressed him. There was just 2 of us in the van. They really need to work on their driver's people skills! Traveling as an individual, this service makes economic sense. If you've got a group of two or more, however, getting a taxi or other transportation would be cheaper and more expedient. Once at the airport, check in at their kiosk-- then go stand at the curb outside and wait. Once the shuttle arrives, board the van and then sit at the curb and wait some more until all passengers have arrived and boarded. Once you've finally started moving towards your destination, cross your fingers and hope that yours is the first stop-- otherwise, yep, you'll be waiting some more while the other passengers disembark. I've taken airport shuttles in several cities, so I know the drill-- and SuperShuttle provided adequate service and an average experience. In hindsight, though, I wish that the group I was traveling with had just taken a cab and saved both time and money. read more

Convenient and courteous. SuperShuttle had a booth and a kiosk at Kansas City International. Vans picked up passengers for the Hyatt Regency Crown Center every half hour, and there was a published schedule for the return trip. Both drivers, downtown and back, handled their vehicles smoothly. They were surprised and grateful when they received a tip. The return trip was easily reserved by phone, one day before. My husband and I were away for awhile and didn't think it was worth it to park the car at the airport for so many weeks. Friends drove us there but on the way back, we ended up on Super Shuttle. I'm used to being able to grab public transportation in most legitimate cities, but this being KC and 50 years behind on everything, it was the Super Shuttle. Last week was my first time ever taking it. I read the Yelp reviews and have got to say my experience was thankfully nowhere near as horrendous. I walked up to the airport counter and the woman said to come back when we had all our luggage. I was worried this would pose a problem since we'd have awhile to wait but that was not to be an issue. We purchased the ticket, walked to the door and maybe three minutes later, the shuttle arrived. Pretty quick. A half hour later, we were dropped off. Now a couple of things were completely asinine. The lady that I bought my ticket from suggested I named the closest hotel to me after finding out I lived in the heart of downtown. She put our destination as the hotel, saying it would save us a few dollars, even though the hotel is a 2 minute walk away. Apparently there are different rates for residential (pricier) vs hotel, even if we were the only ones "going" to that hotel. Completely ridiculous but we did it. She then said to let the driver know to drop us off by our place instead. Easy peasy. Well, not so easy peasy since our driver turned out to be a complete moron. Once we were over the bridge and downtown, I launched on him the address we really wanted to go. (In my many years I've learned not to tell people in advance as it just causes one massive headache.) He kept telling me that I'm giving him the wrong address. I had to explain several times that we aren't staying at the hotel and actually live down there. He kept telling me "but the ticket..." Finally I decided to just tell him directions and kind of bossed him around, as I've been known to do now and again. That's the thing with men; they listen to a bossy lady. Once I went into bossy-mode, he followed and dropped us off in front, still completely confused. No matter. We got what we wanted and he got a better tip. A shuttle is here (has room for me and is heading my way). However, they won't let me ride because "the other driver will be mad". Apparently the shuttles run every 30 minutes and the shuttle that is here " should have left already ". Therefore, I'm just told to wait 25 more minutes for the next one. Maybe I'm giving Super Shuttle four stars to boost their average. I've used them several times, and never had a problem. They've always been on time, or a little early. Their website tells you you might be sharing a ride with another party, but that's never happened to me, even early in the morning. Their vans are new, clean, and big enough, and the drivers have always help load and unload. Booking is easy, it's cheaper than a cab, and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to be picked up at the airport coming home. I was wandering around the airport trying to determine if my hotel had a shuttle bus (it didn't) before I forked out for a taxi, when I ran into a SuperShuttle representative who convinced me to take the Shuttle into town. I would probably not have taken it if (a) I hadn't run into her and (b) I'd known I was buying a SuperShuttle ticket before she actually handed it to me. I've had issues with SuperShuttle in DC and tend to avoid the entire brand as being a bad trip, but my ticket was already bought so I figured I would deal. Pros: The trip into Kansas City from the airport cost me 17 dollars. My coworker who took a cab from the airport to the same place said his fare was more like 60 dollars. Cons: The shuttle took forever to arrive and to catch it you need to stand out at an airport bus stop in the hot sun, said bus stop having a translucent frosted glass roof, so it provides absolutely no shade. I could have gone back inside the airport, but because the shuttle stop is across two big traffic lanes I was afraid I'd miss the bus if I waited in there. When the shuttle does come you're crowded into a minivan that's usually already full (I tripped over some lady's feet trying to get on) and the drivers always seem kinda confused like they flunked cabbie school so they're now operating shuttles. At least the guy was able to find my hotel without a major problem and it was only the second stop, so I got out of there fast. And it was cheap. read more

Crap service. If you have two or more people in your party, it's more simple and affordable to take an Uber or taxi instead. I recently had to take Super Shuttle from the Kansas City Convention Center to MCI. My pickup window came and went, without so much as a phone call or text from Super Shuttle. Eventually, I called Super Shuttle's operator, who assured me that a van was coming and I'd get a phone notification when it was on its way. Still, nothing. Eventually, I walked up to a SuperShuttle driver who was loading a later pickup group, and he casually said, "Oh, sure, I can take you." Helpful, I guess ... But it's pretty evident that I wouldn't have been picked up if I hadn't incidentally spotted another SuperShuttle van, and that SuperShuttle didn't have the courtesy to let me know that they had no intention of providing me any service. You can't be a transportation company and then just not show up and expect that's OK. If you're taking SuperShuttle in Kansas City, be wary. It's a really pathetic service, and you should be persistent about calling them and bothering them until you've secured a ride. read more

This was my first time using Super Shuttle and a Shared ride. They were very responsive. Once I landed, I got a text letting me know where to go once I got my bag. The attendant was efficient and let me know every step of the process. We were picked up within 15-20 minutes and the vehicle was totally full. Prepaid and booked my shuttle online the evening before. Once I picked up my luggage, I walked over to the Kiosk next to the baggage claim and checked in with the employee. He directed me to the pickup spot (right across the street) and I only had to wait 5 minutes for my van. The driver was very professional and friendly, I was very pleased with my experience. I used SuperShuttle twice on my trip to Kansas City. When I arrived and needed a ride to the hotel they lost me for over an hour. I waited and waited. When I checked in, they said they'd already picked me up. The dispatcher blamed it on lazy drivers who don't care. When I was picked up, the driver blamed in the stupid dispatcher and says she never told him to pick me up. On the return to the airport, the driver was on time and got me to the airport on time. The driving both ways was safe. The van was a bit messy inside -- trash and stuff. One poor experience and one decent experience in the same week. This company has a consistency problem. On a recent business trip to Kansas City, we decided to use Super Shuttle for transportation to and from the airport. Our colleagues had recommended using the Super Shuttle, because of their frequent business trips to KC. Pros: -It saves money from having to take a cab, and cost approximately $31 one way for 2 passengers before the tip. -It is simple to book from home, hotel, or the airport. You can book online, mobile app, at a kiosk, or over the phone. We booked online several weeks prior, and we were even able to include the tip during the booking. -On arrival at the airport there was a kiosk to check in, and a Super Shuttle rep to provide an update on when our shuttle would be arriving and where to wait to be picked up. Cons: -They pack the shuttles tight! Both ways we were in a 15 passenger van, with every single seat filled. I kept thinking that we were done picking up passengers and the driver would squeeze another in. -Our driver departing KC was unprofessional and stressed due to the high volumes of passengers due to a large conference just finishing. Due to his stress he attempted to rush and caused his driving to be horrible. His bad driving included a lot of weaving back-and-forth in the lane but not particularly going anywhere. I don't think I've ever been so sick from another cab or taxi driver. We may attempt using Super Shuttle in the future or we may not. Unfortunately the last driver left a sour taste in our mouth about this transportation service. read more

Clean vans, helpful staff, easy text updates, confirmation numbers, no hassle. Booked 2 people (online two days before traveling) to go between the Airport and Hotel Phillips. They were ready to pick up from the airport and take us to the hotel in under 15 minutes. I was about to walk up to a super shuttle kiosk when a very friendly staff member volunteered to take care of it in person instead. Personal service with a smile is a rarity. I was a little in shock that someone would go out of their way to be helpful like that. There was a huge traffic jam up ahead of us on our way to the Hotel; the driver skillfully and safely avoided the mess, altered the route, and we still arrived in time to check in for our convention and grab some dinner. If we had taken a cab or uber, that probably would have been extra. Super shuttle was ready at the Hotel to take us back to the Airport, exactly on time as scheduled. Seriously, the text alerts made everything effortless. It made our first stay in Kansas City a breeze. I wish they had this shuttle at every airport. The trip from the airport to my hotel, in the extreme Southern part of KC, was fine, although I did have to wait about 20 minutes outside on the little curb island waiitng for the bus (would it kill them to install a bench?) The big problem arose trying to go BACK to the airport, when the van driver just didn't show up. Ultimately SuperShuttle arranged for a cab to take me to the airport but I still felt like I had to tip the cab driver (because their asininity wasn't HIS fault), so the return trip cost me $26 instead of $16. Utilized SuperShuttle service twice during my stay at Kansas City, one from airport to hotel, and another from business to airport. On both occasions, drivers were friendly and outgoing. On both occasions, they arrived within 5 minutes of scheduled time, or more impressively probably within 3 minutes. Prices were competitive for a person traveling alone, and I like to know how much I will have to pay in advance. So why the three stars? I had scheduled for a specific pick up time from the business to the airport. I finished what I needed to do way in advance, like ~1.5 hours in advance, and so I call the national 800 number to see if they can bump the pick up time. Apparently it's not very flexible. The drivers were "busy." I call BS on that. This is a huge company with services nationwide. I hope that they don't have 3 drivers per metropolitan area. read more

I called Super Shuttle to pick up my college daughter and bring her to the Kansas City Airport. They arrived over 45 minutes late and my daughter missed the flight. During the time that my daughter was waiting for the ride, we tried to call Super Shuttle for assistance and there was no answer. We were on hold for the whole time. Not reliable. read more
