I never thought I'd be writing a review about a water valve until my neighbor came home from vacation to a nightmare. Their plastic toilet valve had burst, flooding one of their second-floor bathrooms and pouring down into the first-floor wood floors. The damage was over $50,000 in water cleanup and repairs!! Seeing that firsthand made me realize I needed protection before the same thing happened to us. That's when I called Ash. First, we replaced all the plastic valves in the house with metal ones. Next, he installed a Moen Flo smart water shutoff valve on my main in-house water line, and I now have total peace of mind every time my wife and I leave the house for an extended period. While the unit monitors, issues warning and if needed shuts off the water for unusual usage, I can monitor water usage from my mobile phone and shut everything off remotely if needed. This was exactly the safeguard I was looking for. Ash was fantastic from start to finish. He showed up right on time, explained everything clearly, worked quickly and cleanly, and finished the entire job under budget. He's professional, efficient, and genuinely cares about doing it right. This review is long overdue--he's helped me so many times over the years that I had to take a moment to write it and share all the instances I can remember. I've owned my home for about 10 years, and around 7 years ago, I clogged my kitchen sink by dumping too many greens down the garbage disposal (lesson learned!). I had two or three plumbers come out--none could fix it properly. Then Ash showed up and got it done. Since then, he's been my go-to plumber, and here's why: * He's fixed my toilet valve multiple times and even showed me how to fix it myself. * One time, it just needed a small adjustment--and he didn't charge me. * He replaced my pressure-reducing valve at a very fair price, but what impressed me most was how thorough he was: researching how my home was originally built and even comparing it to neighboring homes to make sure the job was done right. * When Costco tried to make me pay for a valve repair before installing a new washer, Ash gave me guidance that saved me at least $1,000. It would've been a huge hassle because of how my home was built--the repair would've required cutting into walls. Ash showed me how to properly shut off the water and told me to have Costco come back and complete the install. Prior to them coming, the provided a price for us already. One of our pipes was cracked and Mr. Mkrtumyan replaced it at no charge. So kind of him! Our home was built in 1951 and had some plumbing problems ever since we bought it in 2016. Got a recommendation to call Ashot and he's thorough and very reliable and priced reasonably. We had out of town company staying over and they broke the shower handle on Christmas Day causing the shower to non stop running. Called Ashot and he and his son came out on Christmas Day. Who comes out on Christmas Day?? He replaced the valve and handle by going thru an adjacent closet wall. A nightmare to say the least. And he patched up the drywall like nothing happened.
