This is a cute and aesthetic little coffee shop in Philly. I think it's a single man operation since there was only one barista working when I went. Pretty good crowd and you get your order taken and made before the barista moves on to the next customer. I got the Banana Pudding matcha which was delicious and unique. My friend got the Tiramisu Latte which was nice and creamy- had a little almond flavor to it. The tables had wireless charging stations which came in handy because my phone was about to die! I've been wanting to stop by this spot for some time now on a recommendation of a friend who knows the owner. I usually go for coffee shops that are more work-in friendly, but today I wasn't with anyone with any particular working needs, so I decided to swing by. By swing by, I meant circle around. Not friendly to drivers needing to park. I managed to get a break when a utility truck pulled out from the curb right in front of the shop, right as I was swore a rash vow to move onto a coffee shop with better parking. Shop overall is small, but does have some good counter seating, stools with no backs, outlets, and solid wi-fi. Did some reading and working throughout the morning, and saw all of the usual suspects come through: a fire crew, fitness moms with their newborn babies, the local elderly couple just here for black coffee, etc. Seems like a good trickle, but never supremely busy (pun intended) at any given time. Smooth jazz on the speakers today also made working pretty sweet! Staff don't seem the friendliest but not outright rude, but they were professional and prompt. Good enough for me! As for the coffee, it was solid, but nothing that I'd go out of my way for. Just had a latte with regular milk, and it was a good compliment to working. Overall, given the difficulty of access, I'm probably not going out of my way to stop by. But for a good cup of coffee if I'm in the area, happy to revisit. read more

I cannot believe I have not stopped in this cafe; I literally walk around here often! It is a small minimalist cafe, with some nice sounding seasonal drinks and various oatmeal options. Suprema is great! Tiny little spot on 15th and Pine, right behind the Drake and the Kimmel Center. They have a great menu with rotating seasonal drinks. The honey badger latte is their specialty, but you really can't go wrong with any of their drinks. There's some barstool seating at the windows, but otherwise this is more of a grab and go spot. I stumbled into Suprema Coffee at 8:29am this morning, my wife beater sticking to my sweaty skin after a Barry's class with my ex-girlfriend. I'm currently in the process of mounting one of the greatest comebacks of all time, oddly similar to the 2017 Superbowl when the Patriots were down 28-3. A lot of game left though. One possession at a time. We entered the minimalist interior, and were met with deep house music that made me feel like I just popped an addy. I scanned the large menu intricately, acting as if I was going to get anything other than a black iced americano and a plain croissant. My homeostasis. My ex got the "Honey Badger" which consisted of double espresso, vanilla, cinnamon, and almond milk. This is her FAVORITE coffee drink these days. Coincidentally, the Honey Badger was my nickname in high school due to the fearless and tenacious nature I played with on the defensive end in JV basketball. Tony Allen was my idol. Here visiting Philly for the day and while taking in the sights of the city, I found this nice little coffee spot. It's small and quaint but this place has some amazing coffee. I order the seasonal special pumpkin spice latte and it came out perfect. Nice pumpkin flavor without being overpowering like some pumpkin drinks. As a pumpkin spice lover sometimes drinks can go overboard trying to give you fall in a cup. However at Suprema Coffee, they have it right. I also had a blueberry tart which was amazing. Great blueberry flavor and the outside was crispy without being hard and the filling was excellent. Service was quick and easy and our barista was knowledgeable about the beans and their origin. Suchs a great find! Suprema Coffee has an extensive menu with all the milk options you could want, plus a great selection of flavors and varieties of coffee drinks. I tried a honey latte with almond milk, and it was delicious--smooth, not too sweet, and really well-balanced flavors. Their seasonal menu is fun, featuring creative and unique offerings to celebrate the flavors of the time. Stopped in for coffee before a show at the Academy of Music. The walk was 5 minutes. The lattes were excellent. I had just a regular latte with oat milk. My wife had an iced pistachio latte. The owner is good humored and knowledgeable about his craft. Even though I changed my order almost last minute, it was easily and quickly accommodated. We ordered an iced oat milk latte, an iced americano and a chocolate croissant. He offered to warm up the croissant, which was perfect. The americano was very smooth, no acidity. The latte's espresso wasn't overwhelmed by the milk--you could actually taste it, which was nice. They also roast their own beans, so we got a bag to take home. It's situated on a convenient corner that I often pass while walking my dogs. I've noticed other dogs pop in with their owners to order, so I decided one day to do the same. I've returned many times at this point and highly recommend any espresso drinks. I've also enjoyed their iced chai latte. The spice is perfection. Another highlight is that they have many dairy alternatives. I'm an oat milk girl and love that it is becoming a more commonplace offering. The pricing is on the more expensive side and the small is... tiny. But I've yet to be disappointed with what I have gotten for what I paid. I've walked by this place a ton and finally stopped in today to try something. So happy I decided to stop in. I may have had the most delicious oat matcha of my life today! It is a bit sweeter than some other establishments, so if you don't like it sweetened - I'd probably try a different drink. Very excited to try the roasts and espresso on my next visit here after reading the great reviews. The inside of the shop is very clean and modern. All these bad reviews are making me lol. People be getting all worked up and it's so painfully obvious that they've never worked in the service industry. I'm so glad I moved out of Rittenhouse. Anyway, I digress. Came here today for the first time - tomorrow is their 2 year anniversary, which is pretty impressive for opening during a pandemic. While I don't drink coffee, my two friends do and said it was really tasty. I got an iced chai and really liked it. There was a nice spice to it, and it wasn't too sweet unlike 90% of other shops. The shop itself is clean, bright and minimalistic. I'm super into that. I wish they had little tables, but they do have two sides of bar seating with lots wireless charging stations, which is really cool. While they do ask you to keep your time at the seating to 45 min, we def went over that by accident, but no "mean" owner kicked us out. Also they wore masks so +++. Tried to call to see if open but didn't find a phone number. Google said they open. Came all the way here and they're closed. It was the right location, it did say Memorial Day MIGHT affect these hours but I didn't see anywhere online saying that it is in fact closed and I could not confirm by calling since I could not find a phone number at all. On Google it does say they're open 7-5pm Monday but it says different hours on the maps app. Should have the same hours posted on all things. Most business were not close due to the holiday, many were open and I was able to find an actually open coffee shop down the street thankfully. read more

I have mixed feelings...Service is blah. It through me off. The quality of service doesn't match cool ambiance. I don't know if that's on purpose to seem "cool", but to me standoffish and lazy style with barely articulated responses from a barista doesn't match the purpose of this espresso bar. It has multiple kinds of coffee and tea on display in glass containers but the barista was not able to articulate or talk about them. Odd. Quality of coffee (we had small cappuccinos of house espresso blend -- "whatever is in the machine" in exact description from the barista) -- poor to mediocre. Number of coffee shops that source coffee in the city are better. My advice is train your staff to match up to your organizational mission and what you stand for. There's a disconnect from what the shop wants to be and actually is. Ambiance, however, is great. Style looks cool, modern, minimalistic, high-tech, all in pastel colors. Love that the place has power chargers all around. However the owners want to limit anyone's work on computer to 45 minutes. Basically cannot stay past that point. I guess I get it--It's a small spot. Probably makes sense? My verdict is great potential, but definitely train your staff! Unless those young fellas I encountered today at my visit were somehow part of management team? Then bad bad look. Another big thing is quality of coffee. Meh. Definitely needs to be looked at again. I like where this place is trying to go, but it's definitely not there yet. P.S. Seems like maybe this place tries to be European-style espresso bar. If that's the case--inquire more how all that coffee/tea displayed comes into play. I've seen it in Europe and Eastern Europe plenty, as that's where I am from, but this joint is not there yet. P.P.S. Trash can size. They are tiny, more of a household size. If you want these small european trash cans in your shop, you have to change portion guide. The shop has a clean, minimalist design. The cheese danish was good and the pastries are displayed in the case neatly. Aesthetics seem to be the main focus here. As for the cappuccino I had, it fell short. Being a traditionalist, I was disappointed when I was asked what size I'd like. As I feared, a "small" is a whopping 12 ounces. At that point, you're drinking a latte. I'm also confused since the menu doesn't list sizes. I also wasn't asked if I'd like it to stay or to go, and so it was served in a throwaway cup. I always have mine to stay, so lesson learned that I should make it a habit to specify. Finally, it was scalding and watery, rather than having the rich, velvety texture I'm accustomed to at Blue Bottle and Stumptown. It's an upgrade from Starbucks, to be sure, so the average consumer would probably enjoy this place--but traditionalists with more exacting standards might be disappointed. read more

Service was nice and humble. Location is great but only for ordering and leaving. Don't plan to hang out here it doesn't have a stay and hang out vibe-way too small. I asked what options were available for black coffee and one option was offered-medium roast. I deep down wanted them to say, "we have medium roast but can do a pour over of xyz." My opinion is if you sell the coffee then at least offer to make it. The medium roast I had was decent but nothing crazy interesting. It's a solid, everyday coffee. I tried to call by there's no number. I'm curious because I actually did a test on this. I just went there and got a chai and for some reason it taste lighter, to a point that not even the ginger in the chai concentration is felt. I wonder if the brand was change. Or if is that Stefan puts les concentrate for me, because I tast this by buying multiple chai for other employees at this shop and the chai was amazing, the ginger and the other spices where felt but with this particular person seems to be a common thing. Just moved to Philly and was in search of a "local" coffee shop/Roastery and found this place. Actually, I've been passing it for weeks looking in the window for it to finally say "open" instead of "Coming Soon" and they just had their soft opening! I'd been trying out all the local coffee shops and even bakeries that served coffee, and I have to say, this is officially my favorite spot. Atmosphere: super relaxed, CLEAN, modern, smells like coffee beans roasting. Comfortable and modern seating. Really cool aesthetic. The kind of place you'd want to grab coffee, sit by the glass window and get lost in thought, a book, or work. Service: wonderful! Quick service; the owner is very passionate, patient, and kind. Echoing another review below, the coffee is terrific...but the owner could not be ruder...He was rude to my wife on our first trip in...the next time in another customer approached me and asked "has he been an asshole to you too?"...and today I stood inside sipping my coffee for about one minute after I received my drink and he asked me to leave because they are "take out" only...Keep in mind I frequent this shop 3x-4x a week and he asked me to leave because I was enjoying my coffee for just a moment before I walked out. It is very clear the owner has no interpersonal skills and does not care whatsoever about his customers...it's a shame too bc the coffee is great.
