Lucky Charms Bronut
Rachel E.

Vibrant is conveniently located right off Rittenhouse Square. The shop is very, very small with very limited indoor seating (about 4 counter seats), so it works best if you're picking up something to go. They do have sidewalk tables though if the weather is nice. The space is clean and they have a restroom for customers. I stopped in on a cold Sunday morning, and it wasn't too crowded. The employees were very friendly and welcoming, and my order was ready quickly. The shop seemed to have many regulars that the employees recognized, and it's definitely a dog friendly spot. I managed to grab a counter seat, but it wasn't super comfortable, and I constantly had people standing over me while waiting for their orders since there was nowhere else for them to stand. I ordered the Lucky Charms Bronut, which was a fun special for St. Patrick's Day. It was fresh and tasted good, but I expected the filling to be much sweeter than it actually was. Definitely more bun than sugary donut. I also ordered the Cherry Hazelnut Iced Latte, which was a monthly special. I was disappointed to not really taste cherry or hazelnut in it. The coffee was good quality, but I didn't get the flavors I expected. If you prefer your baked goods and iced lattes on the less sweet end of the spectrum, this is definitely your place, but my sweet tooth was a little disappointed.

Hot 12oz pistachio pistachio latte

Got a hot pistachio pistachio latte (pistachio flavoring with pistachio milk--love that this was a milk option) and it was pretty good. Think there was a tad too much syrup, not that I'm upset about the strong pistachio flavor, but the syrup amount prolly would've been better with the large cup of coffee. Love that it's house-made syrup as well. Good latte for pistachio lovers.

My day doesn't start without coffee and that applies to vacations too. I love trying local coffee shops and experiencing the staff and getting a taste for the locals. Vibrant was a very cute shop coffee with so many amazing options, it was hard pick. I got a lavender oat milk latte, it was amazing! One thing to note is the coffee shop is small!

I ordered an iced cookie butter latte from their specialties list and it was about $7.25, which was unexpectedly pricey. The latte was sweet and tasted pretty good. The inside of the shop has very little seating and there is minimal outdoor seating. The drinks are made quite quickly.

The Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte and the Cookie Butter Latte.

If you're in the Rittenhouse Square area, Vibrant Coffee Roasters is THE PLACE to get your coffee (then walk it to the park if it's nice outside; this is not really a place you sit inside at, and while there are a few tables outside you're literally just a minute from a nicer atmosphere then "generic city sidewalk"). I can't speak to any of the baked goods, there weren't any vegan options. The Signature Lattes are where they shine (seriously, look through other reviews), and they change with the season. When we first came it was early summer, and we tried the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte and Cookie Butter Latte both iced with oat milk and an extra shot of espresso. SO GOOD. When it comes to lattes, personally I think you've always got to add an extra shot (in this case, the drink as is comes with two shots - again, that's just not enough caffeine for me). It adds more of that coffee flavor (and Vibrant roasts an exceptional bean - I regret not buying a bag!) and cuts back on the sugaryness of the flavoring. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte tasted like the milk leftover from a bowl of cereal! The Cookie Butter Latte was somehow both sweet AND savory, and for sure my favorite of the two. Our drinks took a little longer to come out than other folks in line (again, because of all the espresso) and there's no real place to wait, so we were just sort of in everyone's way. It seems like regulars here don't mind though, they're in and out so fast. I appreciate there was a bathroom to use while we waited too!

A super tiny coffee shop, like 4 seats, and a whole late people. We got in on a weekend morning and it was super busy. Their baked goods seems to be sourdough themed: sourdough bagels, sourdough croissants and sourdough bread. They also have a bunch of fun latte flavours as well. Spiced orange mocha - reminiscent of the Mexican hot chocolate. It was good with balanced flavour of chocolate, spices and orange, not much sweetness. As a coffee drink, this would work with a select audience. Cinnamon roll - A unit of a cinnamon roll with lots of icing on top, nice! Other than that didn't feel like it had anything else unique, but still pretty solid pastry. Apple Brie danish - On paper a delicious combo. Sourdough was pastry here was interesting, incorporated more complex flavour but also made the dough a bit harder. It felt like there was not enough Brie in the pastry.

The cookie butter latte was yum, could taste the creamy cookie butter in it. Have an expansive selection of items on the menu and would definitely come back for a bite. Great location, right off rittenhouse!

***This is a review of the coffee beans I picked up at Vibrant*** I walked into a nice little coffee shop in Rittenhouse square on the recommendation of one of my friends. I wanted to get some beans for my new coffee machine (sorry coffee shops, I am now an at home coffee machine addict). I picked up some expresso beans which smelled amazing (I smelled the peach and chocolate type smell the beans have to offer). The beans tasted really silky in the cappuccinos I made. Hopefully, I can be a real coffee aficionado and go into more details into the flavor profile.

This place has a great atmosphere, great coffee aroma as you walk in makes you want to get a cup the minute you walk past the door. If the smell doesn't get to you, then the desserts and that little bakery of those breads and bagels they have displayed will. Vibrant's menu is impressive with the different flavors you can enjoy a cup of coffee. You know we all love those seasonal blends! What more can you ask for? Personally, any establishment that shows a great deal of patience with a smile to boot, will always win me over. That will make customers want to come back, and you know they will tell others. That is the best advertisement right there, word of mouth... other than Yelp of course. Variety is a choice of life is what I like say, so please go inside take in their unique decor, and enjoy a cup, or a bite. You can even do both if you want, no pressure. With kind regards, ~Nando

Cute shop by Rittenhouse Square with limited outdoor seating and even fewer seats indoors. Ideal for to-go orders unless you can snag a table. The coffee was good with interesting latte specials. They have a bakery here so the pastries are nice and fresh! we were lucky to try their Pumpkin cheesecake bronut which was sweet and delicious! it can get busy so we didnt really linger long. It was great that it was so close to the park so you can take your goodies there while you stroll. Love the Vibrant colors here btw!

I am updating review because my husband walked back to try to get some kind of refund for the items and was able to get some partial refund for three of the croissants and the two sandwiches with kid bites out of them. They wouldn't refund the loaf as it left the establishment. It was something, and it was appreciated. Thank you for that.

I got the egg tart on recommendation as well as a cheese pastry, pandan cake and red bean moon cake and everything was delicious! The cheese pastry had the softest exterior with a warm cheese filling that was savory but light at the same time. The moon cake was very rich and perfect for sharing! The pandan cake and egg tart were perfectly not-too-sweet, which is why I personally tend to gravitate towards Asian baked goods. It's a smaller but very cozy and homey interior with two tables for sitting down to enjoy your coffee and pastries. It's also cash only or Venmo, so keep that in mind if you never carry cash! I personally thought the matcha one was the best. The service was quick and informative. And I loved the little booths they had, it was adorable. That aside, I do think the drinks are mediocre. I ordered their most popular, Mango Matcha and their Hojicha Latte. Sadly I was disappointed, the mango matcha was VERY sweet, but the texture was creamy. I just couldn't get over the overpowering sweetness of the mango puree, but that's my personal preference. The mango flavor itself wasn't bad! Maybe half sweet would be the way to go, Im not sure if they do adjustments. If you love yuzu, I don't recommend their yuzu soft serve HOWEVER their matcha soft serve is pretty yummy Their Hojicha was watery...I really hoped it would be better. I don't recommend it. Any true French bakery would not put the name "Napoleon" on a 2 small overdone pastry in the shape of a heart with small amount of cream in the middle. Nothing like the napoleon which my friend is and always has been a French classic. A three layered pastry fluffy with silky cream between each layer with a beautiful fondant icing which they called Mille - feuille. No it is not an Italian version it is French through and through. While as a French bakery you can make those cutesy heart pastry puffs please do not insult the french baker by calling it a napoleon. I unfortunately made the very foolish mistake of ordering this heart puff napoleon over the phone- thinking I would be getting , yes, you guessed it a napoleon.
