I came here to study and I was so glad I did! This place is spacious and I LOVE the open bay windows and lights that make it great ambiance to lock in. My service was pretty fast and I got the chai which was all right. I recommend this place if you need a place to study and get a drink. read more

Stopped in to get an espresso and a pour over, and my friend had a lavender & honey latte that she thought was excellent. The espresso was tasty and the pour over was very good. I don't remember the specifics, but it was a natural Ethiopian coffee. Service was fast and friendly; there was plenty of seating and it was quiet. I've been to a few Elixr locations and have purchased their beans several times -- I always like everything I get from them. read more

I have been coming here for over a year now. I used to go to one in center city, but this is much closer for me. Elixir always have great coffee, and also seasonal drinks which aren't super sweet. My favourite is Kabocha latte in the Fall. Service is always friendly, helpful, and efficient. Since this location is inside a high rise building they are closed on weekends (which is a pity, but not too bad). I have been getting their winter seasonal drink - Butterscotch Pink Peppercorn latte with almond milk. It has subtle butterscotch flavour, a very nice pink peppercorn highlight, and subtle sweetness. I got an iced strawberry latte (seasonal flavor), and it was so good!! The coffee was very smooth, not too overpowering, and the strawberry was a really nice touch - not too sweet. This is also next to the Quorum, which is an amazing place to do work. Lighting is amazing, so much table space with chargers, and free wifi (password on walls). Can't recommend this coffee shop enough. read more

I've been going to Elixr for sometime now and I always enjoy getting their Iced Strawberry Oat Milk Matcha as well as their other espresso drinks. The flavor of the strawberry is apparent and goes well with the matcha. The staff have always been friendly here. I also enjoy that there is ample seating right in the area at the Quorum Lounge if you wanted to get some work done. I'll definitely be coming back sometime! read more

Came here because I was looking for an alternative to sitting and working at Penn and this was right nearby on Market Street. Easy to miss because there is no signage on the outside and is located in the lobby of a larger corporate building. SEATING There is ample and a variety of flexible seating: - a communal table with outlets built into the table - sofas - secluded chairs DRINKS They ran out of the strawberry milk latte, which is what I came for. I got their matcha lavender latte & I don't know why I didn't think of this combo of flavors before. The floral lavender offsets any potential bitterness of the matcha. And as someone who is big into subtly sweet drinks, I appreciated this drink. Loved doing some work here. Don't get confused if you can't find it right away as it's hidden inside the 3675 market street building which looks like an office building. It's straight ahead once you head inside though. The day I went the service was nice but I have to say it's better at the location in Rittenhouse. I got the butterscotch pink peppercorn latte and it was fantastic. Very buttery but balanced out by the slight spice of the peppercorns, not to mention it was also very pretty. Great place for getting some work done. There's some small tables with charging stations right by bar as well as accessible bathrooms. But there's also the Quorum, a working space right next to it with even more tables. The building also gets lots of sunshine so it makes being productive less depressing. Also free wifi, what more could you need! read more

Super cute coffee shop in rittenhouse square! They had lots of unique options that I've never seen before, like a caramel black salt latte and rose bergamot latte. The caramel black salt was delicious and very interesting! My friend got the strawberry latte which was also great and had a unique flavor compared to other strawberry flavored drinks. Service was great as well. The espresso itself was good quality! Would definitely return! read more

Definitely my favorite coffee place in University City, maybe all of Philly to be honest. Getting my usual Iced Mocha, I'm never disappointed. The Beekeeper Espresso is perfectly balanced with the chocolate and the oat added a very nice flavor to the drink (not lactose-intolerant so I try diff. milks each time). My friends got the Iced Vanilla Lattes and said it was also some of the best coffees they've ever tried. Their drinks are worth their price for sure. Usually, they only have one worker, so it can get busy if there's ever a rush. It's a pretty hidden location inside of a building, but there's some limited seats for studying or doing work. My go-to coffee shop if I'm looking for quality mochas for sure!! read more

Drip coffee is GROSS. I didn't want to spend that much on coffee so I got drip expecting it to be at least a little better than Starbucks or something but no, it's bad. Way too harsh and bitter. Seems like they are only good for their specialty drinks. Just based off drip coffee I'd give it one star, but I'm giving it another star bc I trust everyone else's reviews about their lattes and cold brew which I haven't tried. read more

This coffee shop is in an office building/apartment building. Their packaging is quite cute. The matcha latte that I had was okay. There is a large study space free and open to the public right next door. However, there's no free WiFi, so you'll have to use your own hotspot. Also no restroom nearby that I could see either. read more

Even though you get major hotel lobby coffee bar vibes from this place the drinks are good. I got an iced latte and it was solid. I just wanted something quick in ucity and this was it. I'm a fan of every elixir location. They have wonderfully smooth, roasty coffee and interesting specialty drinks that are nuanced, Not over the top syrup mania like some places. Tried their fall kabocha latte td which is v similar to a normal pumpkin spice but elixir just does it so well! read more

Not quite as great as their CC location, but a solid showing for that pourover treat-yoself coffee youve been craving between jugs of mediocre stimulant bean water. Though, even their drip coffee is superb. Come for whatever, and try not to mind all the startups incubating in the lounge. read more

Welcome back to University City! Elixr coffee is the best way to kick start a busy work or school day. The pop up delivers the exact same high quality espresso drinks that the Center City flagship does. My go to favorite beverages are an oat milk latte (for when I've got a few minutes to spare for the barista to handcraft) and a large hot coffee with oat milk ($2.50 and I'm out the door). Be warned that there is only one employee working at a time; if you unluckily are behind an intern doing an afternoon coffee run, the wait can be 15 minutes. I'm in love with the lobby space that the pop up is in. It's called CIC/ Quorum and it has many tables with outlets for quiet work. It's kept very clean and has free WIFI. This has become my favorite study spot in the last few weeks. read more

The interior is very nice here with a very open and bright space. I love the colors of the place with the colorful sofas and greenery, it is a great study space and well-managed. I ordered the iced matcha strawberry and an almond croissant; surprisingly enjoyed both! I was worried about the strawberry matcha because I got it once with oatmilk and I found the flavor ratio to be too unbalanced to enjoy, but this iced drink was made well! Although I personally prefer more matcha taste, I still liked the drink. The almond croissant was also very yummy with a crunchy exterior and delicious almond paste filling (not a cream!). They have other pastries such as doughnuts, tarts, and beignets, and I hope to try more with different drinks! The baristas were friendly and patient with customers as they considered drink and pastry options. Giving 4/5 for overall experience, not sure how the coffee is. read more

Went to the University City (Market St.) location and it's a spectacular study location. There is a huge area with desks and natural lighting that I would come again just to study. But beyond a great location, the coffee was great! I got a hot Americano with steamed oat milk and it had a smooth yet sweet- almost-like-a-latte taste. My friend ordered two of their pastries but found them to be eh. I'm not sure if Elixr directly makes these pastries or sources them from somewhere else. She got their blueberry almond tart but found it just tasting like an almond croissant with a lack of blueberry. The croissant was good but when she asked if she could get it heated up, there was only a microwave option. read more

I stopped in today to get some work done and I really hope I can go there again! My matcha latte with oat milk was delicious, the barista was very kind and helpful, and the work space was bright, open, with plenty of outlets! You can choose to work in a comfy chair, a high top, or a larger cooperative table. There are even signs to help you navigate the space. Definitely a wonderful addition to UCity! read more

Elixir Coffee has really tasty coffee, they have a naturally sweet brew and very smooth. Both hot and cold are good choices, at least for the cappuccino and cold brew. They have a large air conditioned sitting area with plently of outlets and free WiFi, which makes it a great place to hang out or get work done. It's a little pricey compared to other places around the area, but the atmosphere makes it worth the extra dollar or two. read more

This place got me thru undergrad!! Absolutely love Elixr's coffee and out of all the coffee shops I've been to before, I still think Elixr is the best. This location is perfect for studying/working as the lobby is brand new and full of nice tables. Their cappuccinos are incredible and their cold brew and lattes are also great. I also love how they have Dottie's donuts as these donuts are so good, you can't even tell they're vegan! I had always gone to the center city location but rarely go there now since this Elixr is much closer to me and a better place to get work done. 10/10 recommend coming here for incredible coffee and baked goods! Baristas are all super friendly and cool people. They will consistently give you great latte art as well. read more

This area of town desperately needed a good coffee shop. I like to go here on my lunch break (work in one of the nearby buildings). If you buy a bag of beans, you get a free drink. A nice spot to get work done as well. I bet they would get more business if they had a more noticeable sign outside. read more

It always felt to me like stepping from West Philadelphia into a magical pocket of Europe. The proprietor was still there, still the same and looking no different - something that confirmed my belief that this was a magical and wonderful pocket paradise tucked away on a small West Philadelphia street. A brief catch-up chat, a shopping bag of fine teas and a perfectly brewed double-espresso to takeaway later; I stepped back into the bright Fall sun of West Philadelphia. Nice thing about this place too is that they're open pretty late for U-City, although they've got competition with all the Yemeni coffee shops popping up.

Elixr Coffee never fails to impress. I've visited this place 4 times in the past 3 days and they consistently impressed me with their coffees and customer service. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm aroma of freshly roasted coffee and the vibrant yet calming atmosphere they've perfected. Their seasonal menu is a standout - on my last visit I tried the Peppercorn latte, and it was an absolute treat. The balance of flavors was impeccable, and you can tell they put real thought into crafting unique and high-quality beverages. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, ready to recommend a brew that suited my taste perfectly.
