    Ham and Cheese Combo Omelet

This was the first time I tried this dinner. The seats are outdated. The place was empty. Still, our food took a long time to come out. The server was friendly and refilled our coffee a few times. The food was okay.

Second time I ordered and there's plastic in my bagel!!!!! First time was black hard plastic! This is ridiculous!!!

So I'll start by saying I liked the breakfast from here n I always ordered on the regular. But last time I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and lox I found a hard half inch piece of black plastic in my mouth! I called them and they apologized n sent me a bacon egg n cheese instead. Now I called today to give them another chance. I ordered again a bagel w cream cheese n lox and I stressed when I ordered, "please tell the kitchen to be careful with the plastic wrapping the lox comes in (which they claimed the first piece of plastic came from) n make sure none gets into my food." AGAIN! I feel something sharp in my mouth! I thought it was bone but lox doesn't have bone!!!! It's plastic!!!!! Clear this time! I called back n obviously I'm furious! I want my money back this time!! The guy called back and said he wants to see it n accused me of lying!!! I put it in a plastic zip lock and I'm sending it back along with the uneaten bagel!!!! Why would I order something I enjoy, not eat it n call back n fake finding plastic?! What am I gaining??! I didn't eat it!!!! He yelled at me n told me not to order from them anymore! Lol Duhhhhh! Gladly!!!!!!!! They are lucky I didn't choke!!!!!!!!

To be honest - I have never sat down at this diner and actually had a meal. I have been to this diner twice to pick up food for my boss and both times - the manager Juan - has offered me their delicious coffee at NO charge. His energy is so welcoming. He is extremely friendly and has GREAT managing skills. I also noticed that this diner is well organized and VERY clean. I will be going back to this diner very soon to enjoy a nice big breakfast.

First time visiting this diner. The restaurant was clean and service was quick. Challah French toast, turkey bacon, coffee, and fried eggs with grilled tomatoes were good. Sylvia (server) was friendly and attentive.

Meh. Not impressed. The service was good, but I found the place to noisy to have a conversation. Also the booth was a little to tight. The omelet was good, but the home fries were very bland. Meh.

Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the owner/manager was super friendly and welcoming. However, I will NOT be going back. Found a bug in my salad about halfway through eating it! Whether it made its way in there while they were preparing it, or they're not washing their greens/vegetables - I was so glad I didn't put dressing on and looked at each bite I had taken. Gross!

This is our first time trying this place for breakfast. We try to find different diners to go since Mommy likes the diner for breakfast or lunch and we're with Mommy at the time. One thing that's good about this place is that they have a special price even during weekends, unlike other diners that only give breakfast specials on weekdays but not on weekends. The breakfast wasn't bad at all. Even the coffee is good too. I had soft scrambled eggs. Mommy had her usual onion omelette. Hubby had 2 eggs over easy. We all got some orange juice. Like I said, this breakfast special is perfect even on a weekend. We didn't expect this but we found a new place to choose for future.

Owners are bluntly rude and the food is very mediocre for the price. Would not try again.

We were also intrigued to try the sangria that yelp raved about. We got a pitcher! It did NOT disappoint. It was a decent size pitcher for the price. Roza came to us and asked if we liked it and told us it was her recipe. No sugar ,No soda .It was tasty, thick full of fruit and definitely had liquor because I left with a buzz She also brought out the rosè for us to try pretty good too very refreshing will definitely do that one in warmer weather. I got the Dbar burger it was good but so big I didn't finish it all. My husband got the rib eye burger. He liked it but it was a little to greasy for him he didn't finish it. My 13 year old wanted breakfast. It was not in the menu but we figured we ask since it is a diner. She got pancakes with fruit and scrambled eggs. My youngest daughter got from the kids menu grilled cheese with fruit she enjoyed it so much we had to order another. Both girls for the marshmallow milkshake they LOVED it! For appetizers we got calamari good but could've used a little more breading. Also got chips with guacamole and honestly for a diner it was delicious. Everyone was friendly. Roza knew she had a bday past since we conversed for a bit and suggested we can sing her happy bday and asked what she liked I told her chocolate cake. They asked for the correct spelling of her name which I thought was sweet. Anyway the staff came out and sang with us super cool. Even the bathrooms are really clean. It was a great experience will definitely come back.I must be honest it's a hit pricey. The price for the pancakes with eggs was $23 when we saw the bill I was a little surprised. Kids' meals are $13 and I thought we were getting the cake (free, lol) since I technically didn't suggest it. It was $12 for a slice. But overall it was a pleasure she even gave us a sample of vodka with lemon and ginger which was actually good and helps settle the stomach.

I heard him making jokes with customers and asking people for feedback. Now to the rest of it: service is weird and slow. When we were seated, we had to wait a little bit until receiving menus. Water wasn't automatically given to us also, so you have to ask. A woman took down our order, but later asked if we got waffles, even though I said pancakes - overall took 25 minutes to get our order of a salad and pancakes. Pancake platter came with two pancakes, two eggs, and a couple berries on the side. There's also an option to add sausage or bacon but no price there, which adds to the confusion. When we pointed it out, they removed the charge from our bill. There were maybe 3 people who stood behind the coffee bar which is kind of around a corner, making it hard to get service if you're not in their field of vision. Kind of strange there isn't a clear welcoming desk or something like that. Also, I think the menu uses AI as photos - there's a picture of a burger with fries and chips, but I don't think they serve chips. There's also a picture of cake with garlic next to it, which could be an artistic choice. We didn't get any drinks, but there was a table next to us who abandoned their full cups of Nutella lattes which was interesting.

This is probably my 4th or 5th visit and each visit has us ordering the Branzino, that should tell you something. Also note, I'm not a 'fish person', and I can't get enough of this Branzino. In addition to the AMAZING BRANZINO, we enjoyed steak frites, oxtail croquettes, fried calamari and a Boston wedge salad. Everything was amazing and delicious. The calamari has a sweet honey sauce drizzled on it. The salad was fresh and crisp, delicious dressing and crispy bacon included. We were very full but there's always room for dessert. It has very good quality food and excellent service. Other than the owner, most servers barely can communicate in English. However, I always felt welcomed and appreciated. In today's environment with so much hatred in the air, this place feels like an oasis right in my backyard. The food is always solid, with the salami breakfast plate being one of my favorites. It comes with three pieces of juicy and flavorful thick cut salami and three pieces fried cheese, two perfectly cooked running eggs, along with mashed plantains. Delicious! I also like their lunch foods, such as pernil and oxtail. The turkey wings are tasty, but a but dry. Their soups are some of my most ordered items as well. My usuals are the trip stew and cow's foot soup. If you look at the crowd, you'll notice a mix of latinos and locals who recognize this small shop as a neighborhood gem. There is nothing else like it in Forest Hills, so I do hope they are around for many generations to come. We need more places like this.
