Not sure where the bad reviews came from, but my boyfriend and I went here recently and had a good time with good food. We were craving breakfast for dinner so I got the western omelette with home fries and a side of bacon. My boyfriend got the 10oz steak and eggs. Although the prices seem a little high compared to other places I've been, the portions are huge, and they were very accommodating and friendly. We both had enough to take home for later, too! Over all, I have no complaints with this place. It satisfied our craving for fast diner food at a great location to our home which is why I give it 5/5. read more

I just ordered from here on uber eats, i ordered chef special. Which was spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna, the spaghetti had very little sauce on it and no salt, the meatballs were terrible. Now the lasagna don't ever order that from them unless you like being angry and hungry, the noodles on the ends taste dry and as hell and the overall taste was fucking terrible. They had the nerve to throw mozzarella cheese all over the top of the lasagna, but when you opened it up it looked old and there was marina sauce all over the pan this dish had more sauce then my spaghetti wtf i would never order from them again what a waste. read more

Previously I have had good diner food from here. Both sit down and take out. Eggs, pancakes, sandwiches, onion rings, etc. However my most recent order was through Uber eats and it was bad. I ordered chicken souvlaki and the chicken was terrible. It appeared to have been reheated more than once. By the time it was delivered to me it was dry, brown, hard to chew and had a bad taste. I have had the chicken souvlaki from here numerous times before and was always happy. That's why I've ordered multiple times. And I'm not upset to have the bad order - it happens sometimes, I get it. But when I called the restaurant to speak with a manager I was told to follow up with Uber eats. So I reached out to Uber eats through the app and was informed there was nothing Uber eats could do other than refunding my delivery fee and noting I could leave a review. But I didn't want my money back - I just wanted a good order. So I called the restaurant back and tried to speak with the manager again and simply explain my situation. I was happy to pick up a fresh order on my own. No delivery necessary. I was also happy to buy something else so the restaurant wouldn't think I was trying to scam them. But sadly none of this worked and the manager was fairly rude (though the person who answered the phone may very well have not been the manager). Anyways I was really upset by this because I think I had been a loyal customer and was certainly understanding of a single bad order if we had been able to make good on the situation. Order took over an hour and a half for fries and chicken tenders ; both came COLD and HORRIBLE TASTING, greasy nasty! I called to make sure they added the sauces that I wrote in on Grubhub and whoever answered the phone was rude and rushed me off, didn't give me the sauces. Terrible terrible experience. Ordered breakfast at 8:30, now given the weather id be more than understanding if things were a little slow but this was unreal. After waiting an hour and a half for eggs and sausage I called the diner and they said it was the next order to leave, 45 minutes later it arrived. Food was cold , toast was hard as a rock with butter globbed on. What angered me was I got no call from diner and no apology when I called, they made no effort to make it better. So this place has been here for a while, it was mainly a deli before, then there was some kind of accident / fire, now it reopened as a diner / deli. It's right across the street from the hospital and many hospital employees come in here. It seems about the same to me, good food. They cleaned it up a little with the remodeling. Their Challah French Toast is absolutely delicious, even though I am not a fan of bread. Unfortunately their delivery times can use some improvement - I reside 12 minutes from their location but I am often dumbfounded how it takes 45 minutes (and over) for arrival. Found this location after dropping off a fare nearby. Absolutely delicious food here. Fried ravioli is amazing and possibly the best gyro I've ever had. will definitely be stopping here again when in the area. Staff is incredibly nice and accommodating. I was so looking forward to a good local diner, but unfortunately this isn't it. I ordered a burger deluxe and coffee. The burger had no taste and was cold in the middle. The fries were ok, but weren't hot. Coffee is usually the centerpiece of a good diner, but I was not happy with the taste. Tasted more like instant coffee. This diner is in a great location, and can be profitable if they work on the food. On the plus side, the owner and waitress were very accommodating. Out of the ordinary aesthetic for the area, bringing something new to Briarwood. The diner is clean and waitress was a delight. I got the veggie omelette which was super fresh. My husband got the steak and eggs, he loved it, steak was cooked just right. Will be coming back and most likely will be my go-to diner!! read more

Tried this place for the first time about a year ago. Really horrible service. I ordered through the phone for a pick up order and literally only ordered a soup and a Greek salad. When I come to pick it up about 35 minutes later the waitress told me my order still wasn't ready, then she said what my total was and I thought it was way off. I told her that's not at all what I counted when I ordered the food. She told me "listen either pay or leave" I was so shocked. Then I asked to speak to the owner and he tried to back up his waitress. So I took out my phone and at there faces calculated what the total was and showed them both that they were off by $24. Like how can you miscalculate like that? And btw there food isn't appetizing. Never came back here again. read more

DO NOT ORDER. Waited 1.5 hours for a delivery. We had to walk all around campus to locate the delivery man. The food was cold and gross. My mac and cheese was a block and coagulated and tasteless. When I called the staff was BEYOND RUDE. The man threatened and said "do you want your food or not" when I asked him where the delivery man was after waiting one hour and insisted I go meet him ACROSS campus IN THE RAIN even though I tipped him already for delivery.... so rude so upset. Ordered over the phone to go. Still had to wait when I got there. Wanted a BLT on a roll they didn't have rolls at 11am. Got my BLT on wheat toast with huge wedges of iceberg lettuce. The icing on the cake was that they didn't even use enough foil to wrap my sandwich, put it in a brown bag with it open on top. Was given cole slaw in a quarter pound container that was only 1/4th full. I find this so disappointing for a diner that just opened up. Won't be ordering from there again. I ate here for the second time in a week to give them a fair assessment. 1st time I had to send back my blueberry pancakes because they were under cooked. However they corrected the problem with a decent waffle. Today I went back and the food was okay. I ordered the chalian French toast which was alright and my daughter ordered the California burger deluxe. I can't put my finger on it but the food is basic yet subpar. They might be going through some growing pains and need to step it up. There was a sticky substance on the floor that traveled from the Women's restroom to the diner floor. If I could give it no stars, I would. The time frame was within reason, however, they are located less than a minute from the delivery sight. I ordered a cheeseburger and it didn't have any cheese. The food was cold, I didn't receive a soda can that I ordered, I requested to get BBQ sauce and received ketchup instead - which was also cheaply given as I ordered a cheeseburger and fries and received three packs of ketchup. I also ordered a strawberry cheesecake. It was very dry and tasted spoiled. It had strawberries finely chopped on the side of it - about half of strawberry worth. I have never seen a strawberry cheesecake without the thick strawberry syrup commonly seen in diners. This would prove to be disastrous as this upset my stomach terribly. Don't bother order food here! As I went to the diner to find out what occurred with my order, I found a B rating on their door. Not surprising considering all of the other failed attempts. I've ordered from here before as well, and depending on who you speak with, either the owner (an older Indian gentlemen) or the manager (a middle-aged Mexican gentlemen), the price that they charge you for the meals change too. I ordered a small coffee on several occasions and was charged anyway from $1.25 to $2.50, with the owner charging me at the higher rate. Please, make up your mind. I ordered through UberEats because I was starving. Normally I hate ordering food from restaurants in this Jamaica, Queens area because it's very difficult to find quality. Anyway, I order a turkey burger with caramelized onions and pepper jack cheese. These items weren't the issue. It was the actual turkey burger. Upon opening the styrofoam container the meat smelled funny. Like ground meat you might try to leave in your fridge too long then attempt to cook it. It had a funny smell. I said you know what, It could just be me... I take a bite and nearly threw up in my mouth. The smell was in the meat and it tasted just like it smelled: spoiled. It definitely wasn't fresh. I waited over 30 minutes for my order and this is what I get from this place. It just further reiterates my rule about ordering from these restaurants in this neighborhood. Word to the wise if you work out in Jamaica, Queens - If you aren't eating fast food, save your money because these restaurants are garbage. read more
