A friend chose this restaurant because it was my first meal of the day and I wanted something easy on my stomach and she knew they served breakfast around the clock. The decor gives a diner display. It's not too busy on the walls. As we sat in the booth, it reminds me of an Amtrak dining experience. The restaurant is come as you are, business attire, work or casual. From the location I'd say it's more work dress and casual dress. The waitress was very kind and very attentive. When she brought the food she realized that I ordered strawberry jam and quickly fixed it. I ordered a vegetable omelette with home fries, rye toast, beef sausage, and a small grapefruit juice. The home fries were one of the best I've ever had, not too much fillers ( peppers and onions). I really enjoyed the home fries. The vegetable omelette was decent, I could tastes every vegetable but a little heavy on the onions. The rye toast was of a poor quality and sub par. I eat rye toast all the time. This toast tastes like someone ordered it and changed their mind and it just sat in the kitchen, just waiting for someone to order rye toast . It was cold, hard and stale, the other slice was half of that and the other half mushy. The sausage ( I'm inhaling trying to be nice) was intriguingly cut. I have never saw 1 sausage link cut in three sections. It was very interesting to look upon and very flat. They charged $5 for that. I guess creativity dictated the price of the sausage. I wanted to order another due to low satiety from the first. The small grapefruit juice was fine and just enough to complete my meal. Fist impression mean a lot, if I come for breakfast again, I'll do waffles with turkey sausage. I went in twice recently, although I attended the church nearby for many years and frequent other businesses like Supreme Diner, which has better muffins. A server was rude more than one time, the muffins were dry and, according to my server but not another one, you can have only one refill of coffee. In other diners, including Supreme DIner, refills are almost unlimited. The female server talked down to me, appeared to not like white women or something about me, and snapped at me for touching a few muffins that were wrapped in plastic wrap (and obviously touched by whoever wrapped them and placed them there. Another server said that is "unheard of," so they lost a customer. The owner never returned my telephone call. That is okay, I have been to better places all over the world and prefer my cooking. read more

They have a very good diner menu and a latin menu. A few things - they close too early in the evening and this past Summer, I went there for breakfaset and they were closed for a few weeks for vacation. Have never seen a restaurant just shut down for a a few weeks. There are a few items they have no business trying to make. One of those items is the reuben sandwich. It is always super dy and the meat is just way too touch. I tried it twice and it was inedible both times. Would I stop going here or ordering from here? No. It's still worth it. I ordered the Thanksgiving lunch special and it tasted okay. However, the stuffing came out burnt so I had to eat parts of it. The turkey was also incredibly dry in some areas so I couldn't eat all of it. Was it worth $13? Absolutely not, but at least it wasn't terrible. So I would have given them a 3 but I have to take one off because of the service. It is a very basic thing to ask the customer, how was the food, and if they would like a refill. That alone could have made all the difference for a returning customer. I would have also tipped more. But without that hospitality, there's no heart to come back to. read more

I usually substitute potato with lettuce and tomato but forgot to do it this time. I tried the potato and it was pretty good. My omelette? It was awesome! With not much oil and great ingredients and fresh veggies, they got my vote. Hubby ordered two eggs over easy with kosher salami. That's right, they carry kosher salami here. This is definitely a plus. Mommy and I had whole wheat toast with our omelette. I would prefer grain bread but they don't have this. Although it's on the smaller side, the environment was very clean and cozy to eat in. Guests have the option to sit at a table or in a booth (probably not a good place for large parties of 6 or more people). I came for breakfast/brunch and strongly recommend any of the omelettes, the bacon, and a glass of their freshly squeezed orange juice. I think I'm just a glutton for punishment. first two times I ordered the chicken parmigiana deluxe, it was weird it always came with lettuce and tomato and coleslaw all crammed in one small styrofoam box. the fries would always be soggy. gave them another chance and got the pastrami club , it was dry as hell and again soggy fries. thought I would give them one last try and get something safe: fried chicken and fries. the delivery is always pretty quick but this was the time that solidified how weird and gross the food is. the fried chicken looked good but it tasted like someone put sugar in the batter instead of salt, in fact I'm pretty sure that's exactly what happened. the chicken was really sweet... and there were random pieces of cold onion rings thrown in with my order, wtf? needless to say I will no longer order from this place again the food is just weird. read more

The Diner is a bit small compared to other Diners I have been to, but it still manages to feel comfortable and cozy. The Strawberry Lemonade was scrumptious! The waffles were crispy, and paired ever so wonderfully with the maple syrup. And I usually try to stay away from home fries, but since there were no hash browns offered on the menu i ordered it, and let's just say i didn't regret my decision at all. The home fries were delicious, and given in HUGE portions. One of my friends got pancakes with chocolate chips, and it looked devilishly divine, and the pancakes were BIG!
